That puts the necessary surgery another 4 to 6 weeks out. That's a long time to fix an issue. However, the Dr. made me feel comfortable and was amicable with solutions to my issues and concerns.

What more could you ask for? It has been relatively easy to setup an appointment that was convenient to me versus setting one up 2 months in the vague future. Dr. Wilkemeyer is friendly and helpful. The office has a new machine that takes a picture of your retina. I find these are great conversation starters for my dates. "Would you like to see my retinas?" Their frame selection is pretty expansive and Colleen is super helpful in giving you style advice. My contact orders have always come back quickly. I did like Dr. John and she spent good, quality time with me during my visit. The exam was comprehensive. However, on check out I was charged a contact lens fitting fee, despite it being all over my chart that I no longer wear contacts. I had to call the office manager to discuss, and the charge was reversed, and she was nice about it. Weeks later I got a bill in the mail for a retinal photograph for $40 that must not have been covered by insurance. There's no way to pay the bill online - you have to either mail a check or cash, or write your credit card info on a piece of paper and send it back to them. I wish they had disclosed there would be a fee for the photograph. I would have paid for it anyway because I am monitoring something in my retina, but the billing just seems all over the place. I'll have to call to pay the 'default' bill or stop by the office. I've also contacted the email listed on the website to ask for a copy of my lastest prescription for my records, as it recently changed, but have not heard back. I fear its an unmonitored account. My husband is also due for an eye exam, and I think the annoying-ness of the office will send him elsewhere for care.

Dr. John got me in (on her day off ) and took the time to examine me and let me know it wasn't anything too serious. Dr. John is very thorough and such a pleasure.
