I was pretty blown away by the experience. I was greeted promptly by name even though I had never been in Hue before. I was offered any beverage of my choice. They thoroughly washed my hair and gave me a bit of a scalp massage. After I was prepped for the cut, Maddie asked me what I wanted. I described the weirdness of my hair that I've been living with all my life. She totally understood and walked through a few options ranging from [I'll do exactly what you want] to [let's fix your part because you probably experience these various styling and volume difficulties]. We talked about the options and cleaned up my part a little bit because it would take about 4-6 months to grow back if I didn't like the change. This was a great decision. She then walked me through how to style my hair. She taught me how to properly use a round brush and a hair dryer. And helped me understand how I had been applying product to my hair was fine, but gave me a couple of tips on how to make it salon quality. By the end I feel like I got a full on consultation and master class in men's hair and styling. Whenever I come back to Michigan, I'm definitely going to pop into Hue.
