How strict are you with ID's?

We are very strict because all in all we are a tobacco shop. The laws suck but the law is 21 for anything tobacco related. However, if you ever need anything else non tobacco the age is 18 to enter the shop. Hope this is helpful!

Update after owner's response: I'm disappointed by this response. My review reflects my real experience as a customer, not "ill intent." I'm unclear how camera footage could determine the condition of my foot, as that's not something visible on video. I also never mentioned employees being "parted ways with," so that addition is confusing and unrelated to what I described. The behavior I referenced is something I personally witnessed, and the dog incident did occur and caused pain to an already injured foot, whether it was visible or not. Flat-out calling a customer a liar instead of addressing legitimate concerns is not only dismissive, but bad for business. Your response makes it clear that feedback isn't welcome unless it's positive. Additional clarification: For clarity, I have never been an employee of this business; I was a customer sharing my experience during visits. read more

Irie Coast Smoke Shop hands down BEST place to buy QUALITY glass. Friendly staff and reasonable pricing make this place a 5+. I never go anywhere else when one of my pipes break. As a matter of fact, none of my pipes break, because they're blown with care by the local artists. This is the best glass shop in Poway. The staff are highly knowledgable and actually really cool guys. This place is the bomb!!! They have such nice selection and it's not that cheap import shit it's all locally made, quality glass that is nice enough to be art pieces. The staff is ALWAYS helpful and nice unless u come in with a fake id, or rude attitude. People get pissy that they get corrected for saying "bong" not "water pipe" and it's bullshit. Have some class and respect the business cuz they can get in trouble for bud related phrases, it's just the way the stupid laws work.
