Ive come here for years to get pipe tobacco because of their selection. Since new ownership and employees, they have been rude and far from helpful unlike the previous. Today I made a trip to get tobacco at 8:26pm and was greeted by a giant neon open sign and an employee sitting outside. He said "I just mopped, it'll be 30 minutes till you're allowed in." When I realized it wasn't a joke, I walked away as he proceeded to kick his feet up on the table and watch videos on his phone. Unfortunately I will have to find a new place. read more

I've never lived close enough to Black Mountain to really bring me over here, but now living in Sabre Springs, we've started frequenting it more. Today after brunch at Knotty Barrel, I decided to check out Smoker's Land. I knew there was a cigar shop over here, it never actually sought it out. The shop is small, but very welcoming. I have my select brands of cigars that I tend to stick with and to my surprise, they had all four of my main go-to sticks. Ended up snagging a Padrón, a Davidoff, an Oliva Serie V Melanio and an Ashton VSG. The prices to my surprise weren't terrible for these higher quality cigars. Just bought the Pax 3 from a local smoke shop from a guy name Rami Abbouna he is very shady he sold me a product that burned my mouth used it only a few times and I asked him if I can exchange or have store credit and he was not willing to help he told me I am out of luck and have to reach out to the company to have it fixed but only just bought it from him yesterday. Will never come here again they don't stand by the products they sell. Don't trust this guy, he told me that I have to deal with the manufacturer but if u look at pervious customers review, Maggie M yelp review, he responds to her stating "WE WILL EXCHANGE ANY FACTORY DEFECT PRODUCT FOR ANY CUSTOMER" As a small business owner you should understand the importance of integrity. If you don't have it I can't teach you it, so I will take this as an expensive mistake, the mistake was coming to your shop and purchasing a inferior product that didn't even work properly. Then instead of taking accountability you try to pass the blame on me and in fact if others read your bad reviews they can see that you don't stand by the products you sell. Nice venue for smoking essentials. They sell cigarettes and pipe tobacco, along with chewing tobacco and accessories for smoking / hookah. My whole reason for coming in was their humidor! They've got a pretty nice selection of HTF sticks - Don Carlos Private Reserve, Opus X Power Ranger, and Rocky Patel SGM all stand out in my mind. Anyhow, prices are steep but that's in part because of California's new tobacco tax. Lots of cigars to choose from, along with smoking accessories like lighters, cutters, and butane, etc. Cool little store, only complaint is, every time I've been in the store, most the people coming aren't coming for cigars / tobacco, they're coming for all the other "party favor" type things. Don't really care to "rub elbows" with the majority of that clientele, so I doubt I'll come for much other than butane and the occasional peek in the humidor. Not a smoker, but came here on a gift suggestion for a very dear family friend. The owner was simply wonderful; personable, knowledgeable, and just all-around friendly and helpful. He assisted me in choosing a pipe, made recommendations for pipe tobacco, and even gave me suggestions on a pipe lighter. Before I was allowed in the cigar room, the worker (perhaps, he's the owner? I'm not sure.) carded me. It was reasonable - I look younger than I am. Then he asked if I need his help. Whew! I was not ready to make a fool out of myself by buying something bad. We got the cigar that is not strong and that I could afford. This gentleman was wonderful - he explained why some are expensive and some are not. Of course, because I'm not a smoker, I can't comment on the price as much. I created a Yelp account just to review Smoker's Land - that's how impressed I've been. I've been having some trouble with the hygrometer in my humidor; no matter what I tried, I just couldn't get a good reading. I went in last week and spent a few minutes talking to the owner, Rami. Walking in, I figured he'd have a suggestion or two, send me out the door after dropping some cash, and we'd be done. Boy was I wrong. Instead, he asked me a couple questions and sent me home, telling me to come back again with the humidor so he could check it out. I finally got to take it in today, and the entire experience was a treat. In moments, Rami found the problem, but still took a good half an hour to test and try to calibrate it, making sure I didn't waste money buying a new piece if it wasn't necessary. At no point did he pressure me to buy anything extra - even when I hinted that I'd be willing to! The store may be on the small side, but there's a surprisingly broad selection in the walk-in humidor, with options for any budget. I've tried a couple of the house cigars, and while they've been hit or miss, the hits are great. What I can recommend (strongly!) is the CAO MX2. I'm not typically the biggest fan of maduros, but... wow! Full, bold, rich, smooth, flavorful... just wow. The front end of the shop is absolutely loaded with products I can't speak to, but from what I've seen, there's a wide variety of e-cigs and hookah. While I was in today, I stepped aside to let Rami deal with a couple of gals interested in buying an e-smoke, and I almost feel like an expert after listening in on their conversation - that's how helpful this guy is. Of course, they also offer your day to day products - plenty of mass market cigarettes, a few cans of dip, pouches of Red Man, snus, pipe tobacco, loose leaf, you name it. At the end of the day, though, what really makes it worthwhile is getting to deal with a gentleman like Rami. Walking into his shop takes you back to another (and better) time, when merchants knew, lived, and loved their wares, and there was no one more important than the loyal customer. This place is alright. I was going to give it more stars until I read Aaron's review. I had a similar situation but instead I wasn't given a replacement part for free even though I've spent a lot of money at this place and have come here repeatedly. One of the times I came in, I brought in 4 atomizers that I bought at a previous time, that all cracked with one use and the guy in the corner says "They probably wouldn't have cracked if you hadn't dropped them"... I didn't drop them. Rami suggested that I just use super glue to fix them. Also, I found it hypocritical that it was my fault that the vape pen stopped working and they don't even sell that one anymore... I wonder why. It seems like they are more attentive to the middle aged man rather than a woman in her 20's. The staff here is super friendly and recognizes their reoccurring customers, the product is also very good and prices aren't bad. I used to smoke, and when I did, I came in here frequently for a while. The guys who work here are always friendly. They have such a variety with their product. They have cigars (and everything you could need for them), e-cigs (and all the juices and chargers), cigarettes, hooka tobacco, and I'm sure so much more. Guess what? I actually sat on it, broke it in half, put it back together and it still charges and works at 100% unlike that one you carry. Admittedly I purchased two more batteries from a smoke shop on Garnet right there by the Dominoes pizza. They all outlasted anything you carry.
