What a blessing to have found an authentic Jamaican food truck! The one cuisine Lexington was truly lacking. We have always had to drive to Louisville or Cincinnati to get our fix for Caribbean food. Now we've stumble upon Michelle and her husband truck fixed at the parking lot of the dollar tree on Southland every weekend. This couple is giving up authentic Jamaican cuisine and we've quickly became regulars. The Mac and cheese is AMAZING! the oxtails are sooo good and flavorful. The jerk chicken is SPICY and my man loves them. The coco bread is a generous portion and could double down as dessert. Or you could opt in for the island punch which will surely satisfy a sweet tooth. Next weekend, I'll have the curry chicken which is amazing and head to head tie with the oxtails for my favorite here. I'll update review with pictures then!

Best Jamaican food this side of Jamaica! Michelle can COOK!! I've had her curry chicken, jerk chicken, barbecue chicken, brisket and all the sides, which included macaroni and cheese, jerk mushrooms, greens, rice and beans, and yummy potatoes!

Everything was well orchestrated. I will do business in the future with them if it comes to that.

When I arrived, I was greeted by the cook. After looking over the menu I decided on the escovitch fish. I was informed that due to the location and feedback from the locals, that the fish be catfish, and the oxtails are sold de-boned. What in the world?!?! I was shocked and disappointed but then realized, you have to cater to your guests in order to stay in business. I proceeded to order the fish with cabbage and plantains. They were out of mac and cheese and veggie patties. I think they order the patties from Golden Krust; because he stated that lately they've been getting spinach patties vs veggie patties when they've been ordering them. I was completely ready to be disappointed by my food. This didn't look like escovitch fish that I've seen before. Where was the sauce? But I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. The fish was cooked perfectly and the veggies were seasoned spot on. Overall, I was very pleased. The price, portion and taste were all splendid. I will definitely return while in the area.

The beef patties are made fresh to order AND so flavorful and the chutney served alongside was amazing. For entrees we ordered jerk chicken, Chicken tikka masala and goat curry. Each was exceptional - great portion sizes- truly a meal! For sides - we had the exceptional mac and cheese, cabbage, collar greens and bourbon yams. I can't say enough about how good the food is. We love it here! And the owner is there - checking on us and making sure everything was to our liking! Excellent food, excellent service - we will definitely be back again!

You can tell they actually care about the food they're putting out. It's a little small inside and parking is in the back if I remember correctly. It's low-key genius that they have Caribbean and Indian food together. I got the jerk chicken bowl. My daughter tried the the veggie biryani with garlic naan. We also grabbed a side of yams, I would actually die for them. Also, the plantains were perfectly sweet and caramelized. It's giving authentic, it's giving flavor, it's giving "I'm coming back next week." (I wish), we need this in California. If you're on Bardstown Rd and haven't been yet, you're actually missing out. 100% recommend grabbing a plate. NO pictures of the food but my tummy will always remember.
