My husband and I came here for a lunch date and were greeted and seated quickly. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Peruvian restaurant in Lexington since I'm a big fan of this cuisine. We ordered the 1/2 pollo a la brasa (which comes with a salad), ceviche mixto, and one chicha morada. The food arrived in a reasonable time, and everything was absolutely delicious. However, the biggest downside was the number of flies and gnats in the dining area, which made the experience less enjoyable. It's a shame this restaurant isn't in a better location because the food is fantastic. If it were in a more visible spot, I'm sure it would be packed. Unfortunately, being tucked away in a small plaza makes it easy to miss. While I wouldn't dine in again due to the bugs, I'd definitely return for a takeout order!

Visiting Lexington, KY, looking to have lunch. We found a Peruvian restaurant that served Rotisserie Chicken. Walking in smelled soooo good. We knew we were in for a great meal !!! Allison V, was our server.... she was great. Very friendly, attentive but not overbearing. Two notes.... 1) we thought the music was too loud.... It was a bit tough to hear each other when talking. (that can be easily fixed). 2) it would be nice for them to have a wine license... to at least serve Sangria!! No alcohol is available. Food was excellent !!! We ordered a full rotisserie chicken with salad & 2 sides to split. Our meal was over the top delicious !! The brine seasoning made the chicken so tender and moist. Included with our meal was a huge salad with tomatoes and cucumbers. Very fresh. We also ordered the tostones, which were thicker than we've had in other places... delicious. The sauces served with our meal were white sauce (a very tasty mayo mix with "something ", a yellow Ali pepper sauce & their jalapeño green sauce. The Ali saucei was mild, and we think the green sauce could have been spicier. All of the sauces complemented the meal quite well. Yes, highly recommended.

First time diner. I will definitely return. Food is stellar with explosive flavor profile, tender protein, and all around enjoyable cuisine. Juice made from passion fruit was delicious. Waitress was attentive. Some menu items, eg, soups, were unavailable and waitress was apologetic and helpful. Restaurant has limited seating but relaxed atmosphere

Two stars because first visit it was so so. Second visit it was horrible. Waiters forgot us completely multiple times. Brought yuca without any sauces. We waited and waited and finally they came but yuca was cold by then. The chupe de shrimp was not good, aguadito had no flavor at all. Lomo was sad. Causa was wet. So bad. All of it. Waited an hour on hotdogs. Third visit was ok. We ordered an hour ahead and still waited on our food upon arrival. But they were nice and working hard. Yuca was great. Pollo was prepared well. This gives us hope they will do better. But first two visits were so bad I took 3 stars off. The two stars are for the third visit, they were nice. Friends had ceviche and it was not good at all.

The real Peruvian flavor, I didn't think I would find one of the best Ceviches in the world in Kentucky, Many times we pay in luxurious restaurants and the food is very simple, if you want to feel a bomb of flavors in your mouth visit this place.

This was my first time with Peruvian food and I can say it did not disappoint. To me it is kind of a meld of Mexican, Caribbean, and Puerto Rican food. The sauce on my Pesscador a lo macho ( I think that's right) was amazing and the mussels in the dish were the first ones I have ever enjoyed. My wife had the chicken with pesto and it was better than any Italian version we have had. The plantains were good and the sweet potato fries were the sweetest I've eaten. Service was great and there was plenty of cancha to eat for snacking while waiting. It is corn that tastes like popcorn but is not completely popped. It was delicious. I am looking forward to going back for more!

Food is excellent. Everything is pretty good but they should re price their appetizers, they are way too expensive.

The homemade sauces are to die for, let's just start there. And second, I'll admit that I've gotten carryout from there two days in a row. I will say that the online ordering platform on Yelp is powered by Grubhub and the prices vary from the dine in menu. The torta here is literally the best in Lexington, and I've eaten them from more local places than I care to admit. The bread was so fresh that I'm thinking it was homemade. The steak option literally looked like it had a pound of beef on it. The melted cheese and the guacamole were fantastic as well. It was like a fat cheese steak sandwich at half the cost of a usual cheese steak sandwich. Oh, and it also comes with an order of fries, which is a nice surprise. I've also had the chicken burrito plate. It comes with two burritos, rice, beans, cheese sauce and guacamole. The guacamole and cheese sauce is sooo good. I think the white queso is a regional thing and I'm glad, it's my favorite. I recommend asking for the cheese sauce on the side so that you can add some to the rice. Thank me later.

They messed up our order and still wanted us to pay for something we didn't even bother eating because it wasn't what we ordered. The waiters here don't know anything about hospitality or good customer service. On top of that, nothing was clean. I looked at the menu but already knew I was ordering a Cuban sandwich. They had many favors of Jarritos I was happy before I even got food! I got an amazing sandwich with pork and cheese, and enough for 2 servings. I really felt like I was in Miami where I had my somewhat authentic in the US Cuban. They had a huge take out business, that means the folks working in the offices around them approve. I did not try any of the side dishes, but that is a reason to go back. The location was easy to get to with easy parking, the staff was friendly and make you feel like family. This is a bit of out of the way for me, but I will be back.

The rice and beans were a little bland but well cooked. The Cuban came out fast, but the cheese hadn't really melted at all. The flavors all felt a little rushed, pre-packaged, even. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and great recommendations. I got the quarter chicken & churrasco steak, and a chicken empanadas (recommended). Everything was delicious and you really get way more that what you pay for! The steak was super tender - get a side of chimichurri with it! The empanada through me off - in a good way. It had chicken, olives, boiled eggs in it. At first I was confused but with the second bite I was hooked. Also the crust was buttery and has a perfect bite to it. I've never had anything like it before. I can't wait to try the beef empanada next time. If you want to try something new I would definitely try this place!

She took the time to bring out a roll, fresh baked cookie, make sure we had all the things we would need, and changed the TV to a children's show so my husband and I could enjoy a date even with our tag along. The food was outstanding! Tasted like it was straight from Latin/South America. Which obviously is a compliment coming from a Colombian and a gringa who loves her food with a Latin flair! Steak is medium with a nice char, and the chicken has a seasoning that is reminiscent of the Caribbean. Rice and beans are always a great combo and you absolutely cannot go wrong with the plantains! We had a chicken empanada which was cooked to perfection, my only regret is not trying the beef empanada as well! Go here. You won't regret it!
