Located along Lafayette not far from Battlefield, it's easy to find. It's in an old Long John Silver's building with a small covered patio out front which will be great during warmer weather. Parking is plentiful and access is easy to enter the building. The interior is still decorated mostly as a Long John Silver's but it works. There are additional photos, etc. typical of Jamaica added. You order at the rear along the counter and they assemble the plate for you right away. The menu is available at the counter, and the workers are very helpful in describing the options and making suggestions. The food is placed in to-go containers even if you are dining in. We ordered the chicken and bacon pasta, jerk chicken, curried chicken, and curried goat. Sides were plantains, sauteed cabbage, and Spanish rice. The plantains were outstanding. They were cooked perfectly, with a gentle sweentess without being mushy. The sauteed cabbage was also excellent. It had a nice sourness to it that complimented the proteins very well. The Spanish rice was also good, with slightly different seasoning than Mexican rice. The jerk chicken was exceptional. The sauce was spicy without being overwhelming and the flavor exploded in the mouth. The curried chicken and goat were also very good. The curry had the slightest spiciness and a lot of flavor. One caution about the goat is be aware there may be shards of bone included. It appears they use a cleaver to cut the meat and this results in some sharp bone pieces. It's not a problem as long as you are aware. The chicken and bacon pasta was surprisingly good. It is much more than just a pasta dish with outstanding flavor and plenty of added proteins. All proteins were cooked to perfection and everything was so very good. Fi Mi Pot is a great addition to the Ft. O restaurant scene and absolutely deserves many visits. read more

It was my first time trying it prices are a bit expensive but it's authentic and it's good food so I ordered the jerk chicken wrap with the green tortilla. + mac & cheese I ordered on the side, maybe the best I've ever had! It was amazing and pretty affordable on the cheaper side On the phone while ordering the guy was very nice, when I got there it was nothing but good vibes and a chill space to eat. I could see the passion in his eyes. It's hard to give anything an honest five stars but I had no complaints. I'm excited to write this review because mi tyad (I'm very tired) of driving to atlanta. This by far is the best of the 3 caribbean spots in the chattanooga area. I'm so impressed with their variety of vegan/plant based options. The mushrooms rundown ( that's not the name but that's what i'm calling it), was perfection. Juices and the Coconut Lemonade is a must have. Also I got to experience Jerk oxtails. It was spicy but very nice. Ever since an acquaintance recommended FMP, we have had it on our bucket list. We finally had the opportunity to make the trip yesterday and we are very glad that we did. The space at FMP is friendly and thoroughly Caribbean. The proprietor is passionate about authentic Jamaican food and it shows in every morsel. His food is flavorful and spiced just right. My only suggestion is that a microwave could be accessible to the customers to keep the microwave plated food evenly heated. So if you can't get all the way to JA, make the trip to Fort O and see for yourself! read more

I went here with my family and really enjoyed it. Both flavors of oxtails they had on offer that day were delicious as was the jerk chicken. Definitely recommend the spicy beef patty as well. Really wish we could have tried the Mac and cheese but that will be for next time as the portions are extremely generous. There is plenty of seating and they have drive through as well. Obviously, the chef has developed his own take and adds his spin, but the food is excellent. I lived in Jamaica for years and this is high quality jerk. I go at least once a week. Authentic Jamaican food in the most unexpected place. The restaurant is casual and comfortable with plenty of parking. They offer several types of stewed and jerked meats, with great sides. I had the stewed oxtail (falling off the bone), with okra and beans and rice. My buddies had the chicken, goat, and mac 'n cheese and were very happy with their meals. Very flavorful, and not too spicy for American taste buds. Give it a shot! P.s. Dang! This is delicious food. We ate the Jerk Chicken and the Oxtail. Both were fabulous. We tried the greens, cabbage, mac and cheese, and plantain. Excellent. No it wasn't "too spicy." In fact, my boys and I wished it was a little more so. But it was so good. And the portion sizes were plentiful. We ate it all, but we left full. Very. Full. This restaurant is Fantastic! The owner is the nicest person. He explained and showed us every dish and gave us very generous portions. We got goat, oxtail and jerk chicken as entrees. The sides we picked were Mac n cheese, Spanish rice, plantains and Cole slaw. Everything was delicious! All the way home we raved about it and planned our next trip to Fi Mi Pot.
