When I arrived for my appointment, the front desk woman (didn't get her name) immediately seemed irritated. I let her know I was there, and the only response I got was, "Time?" I then noticed a sign stating they only accept cash or Zelle. Since my Zelle isn't working at the moment, I asked to confirm if they accepted Apple Pay or tap pay, as I had been told earlier. She looked at the sign and responded, "No, only cash or Zelle," in a very rude tone. I tried to explain that I had previously been told otherwise, but she cut me off mid-sentence and said, "NO WE DON'T, ONLY ZELLE OR CASH." I understand that payment limitations aren't necessarily their fault, but my issue is mainly with the attitude I experienced. When I asked if I could reschedule instead, she sighed, opened the book, and said, "Day and time?" She seemed annoyed and clearly didn't even want to serve or talk to me by her demeanor. At that point, I decided not to move forward and told her I didn't appreciate her attitude. As I was walking out, I could hear her slam something down in frustration. I've been here before when they were located near the trail and had a better experience, but unfortunately, this visit was disappointing due to the lack of customer service. Made sure the bath was elevated for ease as my dogs are small. Even warned us of a German Shepard getting blow dried before we got started. They've got all the amenities, from towels, shampoo & conditioner (you're welcome to bring your own) and a variety of deshedding brushes. A literal pet spaw! Today was a different experience, everything was great till the very end. There was a groomer there and I asked if they can do a nail trim, (which I usually do myself or regularly at the vet) My frenchie is a 4 yr old 18lbs dog... a little bit on the hyper side but the groomer lost his patience and had an unnecessary attitude. To the point of claiming my frenchie 'bit him' (He does NOT bite) I was there, my daughter was there, and Javier was there if he needed help to get him settled we were all there. At the same time, if you CAN'T do it, just say so and keep it professional. I mentioned to Javier that I regularly take him to the vet for a nail trim and the groomer's words were "there's also plenty of vet techs to assist in holding him down!" That was unnecessary banter and again if you CAN'T do it, just say so and keep it professional. Aside from that, I WILL def be returning regularly for self service wash because everything else is great! Everyone on the team speaks to the dogs in a calm, soothing, gentle voice. I tell all my friends that it reminds me of a day spa for dogs. I can tell my little guy has so much fun here because he eagerly races inside and when I arrive to pick up him at the end of his stay he doesn't frantically leap into my arms like when he's finished at the vet - he is happy to see me but makes it clear that he's not quite ready to go LOL. We've used these services: *The Shab Cab: Super helpful. Kind, compassionate pickups from our home and rides home (this helped when we were inundated with my husband's surgery and didn't have a spare person available to drive him) *Overnight Boarding: Amazing. They sent me lots of photos every day and were super conscientious about following his routine. I can't speak highly enough about the kindness, professionalism, patience, and compassion of this team. They all clearly love animals and I'm so happy and grateful. I also appreciate that they offer exciting and innovative services such as anesthesia-free dental cleanings (which we plan to try soon) and the extended hours for Super Bowl Sunday. Forever fans! I asked for a BATH prior to pick up. They gave her a bath but also CUT her hair. I am VERY particular about her grooming. It was a horrible cut. Hopefully it will grow back. How dare they cut her hair without my permission? I asked to speak to the owner in an email....never again were my emails returned. At that point I contacted American Express and had to dispute my charge! I suggest checking out Glassdoor.com. Unfortunately I saw the comments after this disaster.

There's leashes, costumes, cleaning, grooming, and many other supplies, lots of food and treats of all ingredients, textures, and styles, and they even had a refill station to scoop your own litter. Pretty interesting. We got to see a cute tuxedo cat named Popo who was up for adoption and they have a wall with the dates and times for more extensive adoption events. I thought the little dog shaped machine to make ID tags was pretty cute and they had a wall with scoop your own baggie of treats and clearance items. Our dog absolutely loves going for both daycare and overnight stays. Our dog has occasional gastrointestinal issues, and the owner is meticulous about following her specific diet without us having to worry or remind her. We're consistently kept in the loop with updates, and she regularly posts photos and videos so we can see how happy, relaxed, and comfortable our dog is while she's there. Drop-offs are completely stress-free--our dog is genuinely excited to go, and that says everything. It truly feels like her second home. If you have a small dog and want a place where care is intentional, calm, and genuinely loving, the Dog Cottage is the place!

The dogs are free to go inside and out of the home into the backyard as they please. It is well maintained with beautiful gardens. I'm glad to have found this place to bring my puppers for care.

Christina and Ruth are two of the nicest, most caring people I've met, and they both have the biggest hearts for animals. Jack is a senior dog and has longer fur which is prone to matting so he gets a brush out and bath with Christina every four weeks. Christina does such an amazing job that the maintenance between appointments is an absolute breeze. Jack looks forward to seeing his two friends, Theo & Tiny (Christina's Basset Hounds), loves the cookies that Ruth gives him while he's there, and always comes home with the cutest bandanas :)
