I am so happy my friends and I stumbled upon Irish Tavern! The interior is very dimly lit and relaxing (there's even a countdown to St.Patrick's Day) and there is a large patio space where musicians perform live music! The presentation of the drinks is so cute and the drinks are high quality and taste amazing! I recommend the seasonal ones, especially the purple one! As for what to eat, I HIGHLY recommend trying a "Boxty" if you haven't had one before--they are Irish potato pancakes with fillings. The corned beef one was delicious--the corned beef was very finely chopped and paired well with the garlic aioli!

I am super impressed by the food here! I ordered the corned beef boxty, it is like a corned beef sandwich but wrapped in a potatoe pancake instead of bread, and it is amazing and all sandwich fillings should come in potatoe pancakes. They do have a lot of options for the filling here too, like grilled chicken, steak mushroom cheese (my 2nd choice, maybe next time), even grilled vegetable or cod! I am glad I stayed, I was actually in the process of walking out at about 10 pm because, even though the sign says seat yourself, there was no one who acknowledged or approached me at my booth for a good 10 minutes. I finally found the waiter seating a table at the outdoor patio, and I actually went up to him (with an apology for interrupting lol) and asked if he could come find me when he was done because I had been here a while! As my waiter, he was super nice and accomodating, so I don't know why he was not monitoring tables but, that is what I took away a star for. It is a dim sports bar but I like that there are 2 areas, there was live music in the bar area, and a separate quieter area on the other side. Now that the performance is over, the sound for the football game is in the bar area but there is no sound on the giant tv's in this area, which I totally appreciate! Over all I would stop by again if I'm in the area, but ignore the Seat Yourself sign and wander around until you find a server! PS Ummm just paid and the machine auto starts your tip option at 25%, with the other options being 22 and 20, so for a bar where a lot of people might be drunk checking out, that seems very sneaky and manipulative, I did not like that...

Love the IT concept! Finally got to try a Brumch, and it did not disappoint! Great value too with where most breakfast spots are price wise these days. Breakfast boxty, and upgraded grand slam slapped! Daughter loved the little burgers. Only minor critiques... the upgraded side of corned beef hash was 97% potato and offering a kids breakfast would be cool. But great stuff! Love the patio and entertainment options too.

I ordered the burger and the chicken sandwich after fasting for 50 hours and this meal hit the spot I'm talking. It was delicious. I want to eat it over and over again. I'll be back for sure. I don't know if if I ordered the same thing the chicken was all right, but man go cheese, so good for the body and the triple cheeseburger wasn't greasy had three different types of cheese but after I ate it, I second-guess whether it actually had three patties on it was really good. Also, if you don't know, know who the disco biscuits are from Philadelphia they're a jam band and you should go listen to them right now.

Great place to go with your buddies. Lots of games on large selection of drafts. The dry rub wings are unbelievable. The bread pudding is incredible. Brew Detroit Cornerman porter draft a very good choice. I would definitely drive out of my way to go here. A++

I absolutely loved it here. First of all, the atmosphere was fantastic. What a great place for a warm summer night! You walk in through a gorgeous outdoor patio. They have the garage doors open leaving a wonderful breeze inside. There's a large bar and a lot of seating throughout. There is even a private room that can host a private party with buffet. We got there right in time for happy hour! We love happy hour!! Half off beers? Yes please! We were promptly greeted by the most bubbly, sweet bartender. She seemed to really love her job! They had a fantastic beer selection! We ordered a couple of beers and continued checking out the menu. I have been craving a burger. So I was happy to see their burger selection. We both ordered burgers. I got the Beach Burger and he ordered the Mushroom Swiss. There is a choice between a half pound burger cooked to order or a quarter pound smash burger. We both chose the smash burger. Smash burgers can make me nervous, as they are sometimes overcooked. These were both perfectly cooked. Their toppings complimented the burger. We also both chose the fries. I recommend them. They were delicious! I typically eat a couple of fries and that's about it. I ate a lot of fries. They were so good! They have a special late night menu for the weekends and a brunch menu. We loved everything from the atmosphere, to the service, to the food. Definitely 5 stars.

First time here and it was nice. We wanted a snack and beer so we shared a turkey club sandwich. It was very good with lots of turkey. The French fries were good and hot. They charge 4% for credit card but it is obvious,no surprises.

Look, I understand that there was only one sever when I arrived and no hostess. But. I am a single and just watched 3 groups after me get their food. One group was 5 people. Who were very important because they were seated and got their menus from the bar and water before the rest of us although they arrived after us Not only were served. They ate and now have take home containers. I have been here 90 minutes. I have been here 90 minutes. All I ordered was a sandwich. A chicken blah blah sandwich. No fries no sides. Just the sandwich That is BS. Another server arrived, and both her tables have been served. For the first time ever, I left money for my drinks and walked out. I am done. I am still waiting One of the groups was 5 the other 2 groups were 2. That is complete BS

A group of 7 went here last week for my dad's birthday. I've been here when it was different businesses, but never to Fork n' Pint and wish I would have come sooner! They have a wide variety of different types of food, but they all looked so delicious and I ended up going for the Coconut Curry with Chicken. I wish it was a bit spicier, but it was a great option as were the Brussels sprout appetizer and the red velvet cheesecake. Our service was a bit slow, which is why I marked it down to 4 stars, but the server and the rest of the staff were really nice and accommodating.

Mediocre food and horrible service. We went here for lunch on Father's Day. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. Once our food finally arrived, we were completely missing one person's order. We never got the salad that came with another meal. The place wasn't busy at all. We won't be back.

Ask the Community - Irish Tavern

How much is the Sunday brunch?

Do they have happy hour specials?

The have daily specials as opposed to happy hour. Sundays they have a mimosa bar from 11-3, and wednesdays they have half off wine and pizza. Not sure what the rest of the week's specials are.

The staff were super friendly and sat us right away, which set a good tone from the start. The environment was lively but still very family‑friendly, which I really appreciated. They have a solid variety of drinks and beers. I ordered a mojito, at first sip it tasted like water, but after stirring it up it turned out to be really well balanced and refreshing. For food, I had the lemon pepper wings and my husband had the buffalo wings. Both were perfectly cooked: crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and the sauces were spot on. Definitely some of the better wings we've had in a while. We'll definitely be going back! I've got my eye on the steak fries for next time.

Waitress seemed annoyed that we weren't ordering food right away. So, we put in an appetizer order while we waited. The Quesorizo was okay, but the portion was tiny. We put in our order before our sixth arrived as they told us what they wanted. The food started arriving fairly quickly which was good. But the waitress put in an order for a regular chicken tenders meal for one of my daughters instead of the one from the kid's menu. I ordered the "El Gordo" Burrito with beef. It was a lackluster item filled with regular ground beef that was not seasoned. I didn't finish it. My wife and oldest daughter got the buffalo chicken mac and cheese - which they normally love - but they said it was not very good today. And to top it all off, our waitress disappeared for about 10 minutes forcing us to go up to the bar to get drinks/refills and request a new set of silverware because my son dropped his on the ground. I do not plan on going here again.

By the time we left, it seemed to be a little more busy. I'm pretty sure there was only one waitress for both the bar and the dining room floor. The menus were sticky, especially the happy hour and drink my news. Lots of different cocktails. I ordered a margarita and was asked if I wanted a flavor. I asked for mango but then was told later they were out. So I went with blackberry. The drink was fine. It wasn't the best margarita I've ever had though. It's called O Grizzly's and there's some Oakland University nods inside. There were quite a few patrons wearing Golden Grizzly gear, there was a basketball game that night. But the place still feels gimmicky to me. A way to market Oakland University people and get them in the door but doesn't do much else after that. There really doesn't feel like a true affiliation with the University. Bathrooms are single stall and felt clean. The menu is not too overwhelming. Went with the blooming onions and they were absolutely delicious. Hot onions with a crunchy batter and a yummy dipping sauce. I went with the Tandoor wings as it was really played up on their menu. I got medium for sauce. My husband got chicken tenders and we ordered a side of fries. I was disappointed with my chicken wings. They were a good size but the skin was rubbery and some of the chicken tasted chewy. Also, the sauce was very runny, didn't really stick to the chicken wings. I am not sure where the Tandoor part was to the wing? They gave about five half sticks sliced in half of celery for nine wings, not enough at all. I asked for blue cheese but was given ranch. The fries were thicker, cut, and swirly, which are interesting and they had a good seasoning on them. Our waitress was friendly and decently attentive, considering she had to serve every table and run the bar. Food was coming out decently fast. But getting our check and cashing out took a while. It got to the point where my husband just went up to the bar where she was so we could cash out.

My wife had the fajitas and I decided on the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. The food came relatively quick. The chicken fingers were about the same but my son was happy. The pizza was pretty nondescript. I'd compare it to a low grade high school pizza with really nothing to recommend it. My wife appreciated the large size of the fajitas and salad but also found the fajitas unusually spicy. Sadly, the Nashville Chicken didn't really taste at all like Nashville Chicken. It wasn't bad but it just wasn't what was expected. The fries were good and we like the seasoning. But that's about the highlight of the night. I think this really will be the last time for me.
