Always a great place for good bar food. Plenty of TV's to watch whatever games are on. Plenty of space and some outdoor seating. Excellent burger & a beer.

Love, RJs pub! It's a great local dive type bar in the Rochester Hills community. Great spot to have a drink at the bar, watch a sports game, or as I frequently go to the Oakland University basketball's head coach Greg Kampe's radio show. Parking is not too bad. They also have a great outdoor deck area. When you walk inside, you are greeted by the bar and tables throughout. If you make a right and follow the hallway, you're in a more quieter dining type area. The staff here are always extremely friendly and attentive. Restrooms are clean and single stall use. Their menu has a lot of great bar food, staples, such as wings, pizza, and a nice selection of appetizers and sandwiches. Their prices are not bad, but if you add fries or want to upgrade, it can quickly become pretty pricey. They do charge a service fee for credit cards and their menu also notes charging extra for soft drink refills (you get one free refill). The food is amazing though! The appetizer of cauliflower with ranch always comes out piping hot and has a great batter on the cauliflower. I've had quite a few sandwiches, and every one is very good. Please do yourself a favor and get the seasoned fries! They have an amazing taste. The taste is hard to explain, but it has a salty and sweet type of seasoning. I would come here just for the season fries! My only complaint is they never have hard cider on tap. Otherwise, never had a bad meal and always had great service!

The 288 burger is outstanding. I'd even say the best burger in all of the Rocheater area (fyi I'm a snob when it comes to burger). Not only is the food great, the staff is amazing, plus we scored a limited run of ball caps to show our support for a local business!

The service, food, and atmosphere are stellar! This is not an average pub. This is a place for everyone who enjoys great food, sports, and / or patio drinks.

For my drink I had the Dragonberry Mojito and it was refreshing, but could've been a little stronger. I ordered the Irish potato skins and the corned beef is brown and crumbled like ground beef, which was not what I was expecting. Although I didn't order it this visit, I have enjoyed their donegal chips and dip. I'd be interested in attending a live music night in the future.

I sat at the bar where Mae very thoughtfully helped me navigate through the extensive been menu. I was very impressed at the selections! The food menu is just as impressive. I'm certain anyone can find a favorite. I ordered the blackened chicken gnocchi and found myself in flavor heaven. I've made and eaten a lot of gnocchi and this is easily the best I've ever had. Mae agreed with me and suggested it's because there's cheese in those potato pillows. I dunno but I would eat this every day if I could. If I thought they'd keep, I'd buy extra and take some home. Meanwhile the bar crowd was friendly and chatty as we watched soccer on a few TVs. Finally stumbled in on a Sunday afternoon, and secretly loved it here. When I walked in, I immediately thought "is this an off shoot of Red Coat Tavern before it was Red Coat Tavern? Why does it look like a Mafia place from the 1970's with a 1995 sports bar feel?" I find I'm still thinking about this place even days later. No, it's not the coolest place in town, but I kind of like it because it's a typical bar with regulars and randoms like me. I decided to grab a mid afternoon bite and didn't want to be bothered with the usual places as I have grown tired of them. Also, there's this new thing called Yelp Cash Back, and this was the closest place to me that does it, and since I don't know much about Yelp Cash Back, I wanted to see if it really worked. Anyways, I scoured the menu and found a BBQ burger that sounded right up my alley. The bartender was also my server, and she was miraculously running the whole area by herself. Mind you, when I got here, it was dead. There was me, in a booth far far away, and two older dudes who were clearly regulars watching football on the TV's over the bar. Clearly, the two guys and the bartender were familiar with each other, and I secretly loved it, and watched as they interacted amoungst each other. Gave me a cheers feeling that sometimes you don't always find anymore. My burger came out with fries, and it was a okay. Nothing exciting really, but good non the less. I polished it off with the fries and downed a sprite since I wasn't in the mood to have any booze. Another reason I like this place is because it seems to be douchebag free. Honest good people without an agenda. As time went on during my meal, more people started rolling in. Some of them were regulars, as they were warmly greeted by name from the bartender, and asked if she could get them their "usual" beer and meal. Again, loved it. I should also give my props to the bartender. She was hilarious without knowing it. When I walked in, she greeted me immediately, and asked how I was doing. After my eyes adjusted to the light, I realized she was bundled up in about 12 coats, a hoodie, and stated that she was freezing since the cold air was blasting her every time the door opened. I have no clue what this place is like when it's busy, but it's a nice casual atmosphere. I would gladly return in the future even though it's not the most remarkable place in town, but I still love it. The food was decent, loved the atmosphere and for $9, I got a burger, fries and a Sprite. $9!
