We had a great experience while shopping for my daughter's quince dress. I can't remember the name of the lady who helped us, but everyone was very nice and helpful. We didn't feel pressured to buy a dress at that moment. My daughter tried on about 5 dresses and the sales lady was very knowledgeable and gave her good suggestions. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a dress. My daughter found her dress here, but we still have not purchased because it is such a big purchase, so I want to make sure this is the one she really wants. My daughter in-law was desperate to find a dress she loved for her wedding just 18 days away. She had ordered one online and when she got it, it was horrible and looked nothing like the picture. I drove an hour to get here and traffic occurred things happen, but once the blonde lady saw us she had this ugly ass face as if we were bothering or something. Of course, I had to wait until the last minute to buy my daughter's veil for her 1st communion. Someone told me to check out Irma's because I was having a hard time finding one that I liked, and I'm so glad that I came here. I arrived right when they opened and they were all really friendly. It is a small store and it is a little tight in there, but they have a great selection of dresses, veils, and other items that you need for a wedding, quince, 1st communion, baptism, prom, etc. The veils were right in the front and I was looking for a veil that didn't have a crown attached to it. I had the worst experience here! I ordered my dress few months before. The dress I had ordered was not in the color I wanted, ready to move on to the next they offered to put in a "special order" & change the color so made from the beginning you know. I agreed I was excited everything WAS perfect... We (my mom & I) ofcourse asked if it was possible & if it would come in time. They assured us YES! I GOT MY DRESS 2 days before my 15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Side note: I was losing wait so I needed to make sure we would have time for alertations.) Oh & WORST THING WAS. That the color WE PAYED FOR came wrong!!!! After having no luck in finding a prom dress that would fit my plus size daughter. We decided at a spare of a moment to drop-in and look at Irma's...Thank God we did because we found an incredibly beautiful dress that was equally well priced- which I was shocked! Cause the other formal boutique dress shops we went too were priced $400-800 and the selection was very limited. Frankly, my daughter was getting very discouraged at the whole prom shopping experience. It was getting less exciting at each store that didn't either have her size or had the size but the dress looked awful. I could see the stress and disappointment in her face. When we arrived at Irma's, we were immediately greeted by Denise. We told her we were looking for dresses sizes 22-24, and asked did they carry it? Denise said,"Yes" and immediately started pulling out a Variety of beautiful dresses. We were so taken back by the amount of dresses she was pulling from the rack for my daughter to try on. I thought maybe she did not hear the sizes correctly so I asked, "These are size 22-24 dresses?" She said, "Yes" and that even if a dress did not fit well, they could either make alterations (alterations are in-house) or order the next size up. They could work it out! She made it clear to my daughter not to feel discouraged on the size or style. As long as she was open to try different dresses,etc it would be easier for her to assist my daughter in getting her the perfect dress. My daughter was very open minded. She had no set style, let alone color preference. She just wanted an amazing dress that would make her look and feel beautiful on one of the most memorable moments in her life- Senior Prom. In the end, we found "Thee" perfect dress that made my daughter look gorgeous!!! We are so blessed that we found this store and that Denise was there to turn the prom shopping experience back around and made it very pleasurable. Got everything here for my cousins 15 party from dress to decoration EVERYTHING! The owner is super nice always helpful but her daughters are so rude they gave us different prices every time we went the first person we spoke with was the owner and everything was pretty reasonable but every time we went back her daughters specially a blonde one would always be very rude to us and she tried to charge us more then what was stated in the beginning and would give us wrong dates to pick up stuff, we would show up the day they told us it would be ready only to be told it wasn't, with no phone call or anything before hand just so we didn't drive there for no reason and this happened about 4 times! They will ruin their moms business! If it wasn't for her this place would not exist anymore. I got everything here for my 15 party as well 6 years ago and we had some inconveniences too but I thought it was better now we wouldn't have returned here if it wasn't for the owner because I know a lot of people who have had problems with them as well. read more

They are really rude , i paid up front months before my wedding and they were always so rude about any questions or concerns I had . The day I signed my contract they showed me glass vases that they would use the day of my wedding as my centerpieces but in the day of my wedding they were PLASTIC and spray painted horribly . If I could give -0 stars I would for sure. My daughter bought her prom dress here about a year ago and had a decent experience. So when it was time to go dress shopping for my upcoming wedding we went to a few bridal stores including Davids Bridal (they were great). We wanted to shop around and see if we could get a better price so we stopped in Irma's just to see their selection. Upon initially walking in the door they basically told us that we needed an appointment and they couldn't help us which was fine we were just there to see what their selection was like and then if we thought it looked promising then we would make an appointment. As we walked over to just glance at the selection another girl came over and told us not to touch the dresses and that they're extremely busy and that's why they don't like people walking in and looking at their dresses and touching them. In so many words they basically told us to leave which was fine and their loss. They lost out on a huge sale of a wedding dress, tuxes, bridesmaid and flower girl dresses, etc. Do not waste your time and money on this shop that doesn't appreciate your business. read more

Great prices but we had a pretty hard time getting the dress once it was in. They said alterations would take a few days so after a week we went to pick up the dress but it was not ready. We returned on Sunday (which they are open 12 - 4PM) at 3:07PM and the place was closed, no sign or anything. We finally got ahold of them on Monday and they could care less that we've driven out there twice to get the dress. They said "Oh we were at a convention Sunday". VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. My best advice to anyone thinking of doing business with these rude, unprofessional women! Is don't do it. They act as if they are gifting you something, they do not value you as a customer and the mother and her daughters I assume, are extremely arrogant and disrespectful. Any question or concern you have the take up the ass, excuse my french.... I stuck with them because the minute I gave them back the same attitude they were kissing my ass to keep my service. Worst mistake!!! I unfortunately bought 4 dresses and could not turn back it was too late. The quality in their gowns are very cheap!!! Flea market quality.. They say you get what you pay for, in this case its not true because each gown was $92.43 and I could have found a better quality gown without the bullshit at a Nordstom, Macy's clearance had I had the option to find 4 a like dresses in the sizes I need it. Not only are the rude and unprofessional, they don't know what they are doing or talking about, seems like they are new to the business they run around like chickens with their head cut off. The zipper in one of the dresses for example would get stuck over and over even after they supposedly ironed it and cut a string but they argued thats how these style dresses are mind you we only had a problem with 1 dress and not the other 3. Not once did they apologize for anything at all if anything they would argue they're point. They measure the girls wrong and when the girls come in and the dress dont fit they say they must have gained weight! Really! Ok the older lady argued with me for 10min about how she ironed the dress and it had probably got wrinkled from being in the bag for only 2mins at most, until one of the nicer working ladies there offered to re steam it for me because the lazy hag rather argue that she had already done it, well I think I made my point this place is nasty too, dirty... read more

GO HERE FIRST! Irma's is my go to place for dresses, tuxedos, linens, etc. Irma and her staff are always welcoming and helpful. They make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed. There is never any pressure to buy! Appointments are offered especially if you know you'll be trying on dresses. If looking for prom, wedding, bridesmaid, quinceanera, communion dress, etc. this is the place to go. You can be almost guaranteed their price is better than everywhere else including online! After visiting Martha's boutique in Pittsburg, I was adamant about not getting tuxedos at a place where they would talk in another language and make those of us who do not speak that language feel uncomfortable. This was not the case at Irma's. Although the staff do speak Spanish it is 90% English. We ended up getting the quinceanera and attendants dresses, homecoming dress, all tuxedos, linens and decorations through Irma. Tuxes looked great no tears, holes, or wrong sizes like we'd experienced at another location. All dresses included alterations which looked perfect! When we walked in the hall my somewhat hard to impress daughter was speechless! They did an amazing job. My family and I look forward to working with Irma, Edna, and Denise in the future for all our party and dress needs. read more

I had the worst experience here today. I went to look for quince dress and was treated horribly. We had heard a lot about this place so we drove from Vallejo to check it out. We arrived there and realized that the dress I had fell in love with from a catalog was on the rack so my friend and I immediately went to the rack where the dress was and looked at the dress. My mom and I asked if I can try on the dress and we were told that trying on dresses was by appointment only - which was totally fine, but what made me and my mom upset is what happened next. A young blonde lady (who was very rude) walked over and told us not to touch the dresses because it would ruin them but there was plastic over the dresses and it didn't make any sense at all. My mom got very mad and we all walked out of the store because we were very pissed off. I had never been to a dress store where you can't touch the dresses you are interested in buying. Where to begin! When I found this place I thought I was extremely happy. I needed dresses for my flower girls and found them there after looking around various other places. I went in May and asked if I ordered the dresses, would they arrive in time for my end of July wedding. The sales woman assured me they would arrive within two weeks. They did not. A month later we call the store to inquire and the woman lets us know there is some sort of problem with the dresses getting sent to the store. Yet she assures us the dresses will arrive in time. The beginning of July rolls around, no dresses. Finally, after calling yet again, the woman lets me know it would probably be a better idea to order a different, yet extremely similar, dress. I agreed and they finally arrived a week before the wedding. The dresses were completely different than the originally ordered dresses. They were not at all what I wanted and their customer service at no point appeared apologetic for the situation. On the contrary the clerk was rude, hostile and stand-offish. The phrase, "You don't have to take the dresses," was rampant upon requesting a discount on a dress that was completely wrong. I took the dresses because my wedding is a day away, otherwise I would have requested my deposits back and left. NEVER will I go back. read more
