I called 11 am, asked specifics , came in (a little late) by 3 and had my thick full shoulder length hair completed into Senegalese twists by 7pm! The braider was excellent, quick, focused, not too rough (I'm tender headed too!) and definitely knows what she's doing , no matter the fact that she's young in age. Experience speaks for itself . The owner was extremely gracious and even took me down the street to extract the cash to pay the stylist. They have everything for your fashion needs on location, so she also helped me picked my hair color for the twists and it was the perfect match for the color I had described from my head. They have more than the normal selection since their products stem straight from Africa ! I will definitely be returning to this shop only to get my hair done! Was drawn in here by a cute pink jumpsuit sitting in the window! Have to say I agree with Roberta's review - the clothing is more of a cute, casual, fun and clubbing variety - rather than office wear (not to say you couldn't get away with some of those outfits at your office, but yeah, most of if is short or tight or revealing or a combination of both!). They have plus sizes and a very random selection of styles of tops, dresses, skirts and shoes; there is braid hair and a few wigs and some costume jewelry accessories to chose from. I think I even saw colored contact lenses and panty hose! I bought myself a super cute dress and tank top - not even trying to shop - intention was to get some lunch next door! HA! Updated review.... I went to this shop excited to pick up some Braid hair. Let me just say that the selection was very minimal. There were only 2 brands of hair and the colors were 1b and then 430. There were no 1's or 2's or 4's. The hair is in a small corner behind the counter. The entire shop is filled with fun and flirty 20 something's boutique clothing. I wouldn't call it a beauty supply store rather a botique clothing store. Customer service is excellent though. The lady was very attending and helpful. read more

This is the most unprofessional place I've ever been to. I went there thinking that my regular braider was too busy for me at the last minute. I called this lady in advance on thursday, and that was a red flag because she was unprofessional on the phone. I'm rushing to finish my job for my 9:30am appt to be pushed back to 12:30pm and that wasn't a problem. I arrive walking into clothes apparel and the shop was in a small room on the right side of the door. I had to use the bathroom due me being pregnant. She had no soap in the bathroom, not well upkept, and the store didn't look very upkept either. After drying my hands on my clothes, since she didn't have any paper towels, I go back to the room she's braiding in. She was doing some twist as I walked in so that lady must be a regular for her. It's my time to get my hair done, and I showed her the picturs of box braids in a bob style. After showing the picture, I showed it 2 more times after that. As she starts doing my black hair, I have three-toned color hair, she chooses the lightest color FIRST. I told her not to do that and to put the darkest color first, and the light color at the end, LIKE THE PACK OF HAIR. She says ok, but still does it wrong. She then makes my braids all different sizes, extremely choppy, ugly, and sloppy. I was so irritated that I almost watched every braid she did. I finally stopped her after complaining how my braids are all different sizes. I turn around and this lady used 4 PACKS OF HAIR and she wasn't even half way to my head. I could've went to jail after seeing that. I stormed out of there without paying her. Will NOT EVER go there again. I should've took a picture of the different size braids I took out my hair before I called my regular braider, embarrassed to walk in her shop. Those packs were 7.99 a pack for her to waste my money. I had to buy more packs of hair later for my regular braider. Thank you for wasting my time and money. If it wasn't for that sweet white woman in there, I would've told that woman about herself. Even though you don't need a license for braiding, you do need a business license. What a mess read more
