Great price for all you can eat KBBQ in this economy. However, the quality of meats are generally on the lower end for some reason. They usually come out tougher or less flavorful than other KBBQ spots around the area. Not sure why, but everything else is standard otherwise. Reliable choice if you want to fill your stomach with meat, but there are better options if you are aiming for taste. Service depends on server - generally good, but can get rough when things are busy. It's also dark and can get pretty loud.

The Iron Age here is pretty good, overall I think the selection was a good variety. I do miss marinated beef though. The service was great, I believe the person helping us was Trinity! I would definitely come here and recommend it

Iron Age Centreville has become my go-to spot for Korean BBQ, especially for those who don't eat too much beef or pork. Their chicken options are plentiful and delicious! While I haven't tried many other Korean BBQ places, the chicken here seems very good quality. Chicken & Banchan Stand Out: Chicken Paradise: As a non-beef and pork eater, I appreciate their wide variety of chicken options. They're flavorful and perfectly cooked. Side Dish Symphony: The side dishes (banchan) are truly amazing! From the refreshing salad to the fluffy steamed egg, everything is delicious and well-prepared. The Teokbeokki is to die-for. It's one of the best selections I've seen at a Korean BBQ restaurant. Flavor & Value: Saucy Success: Their sauces are fantastic and pair beautifully with the meats. Korean BBQ Lite: Having recently returned from Korea, the marinated meats here aren't quite the same quality as those in Korea (of course!). However, for the price point, the all-you-can-eat option is a great value. Ambiance & Service: Iron Age Vibes: The restaurant has a unique, dark, and rustic ambiance that fits the "Iron Age" theme. Attentive Staff: The staff is very friendly and attentive, especially helpful for first-time Korean BBQ diners. They'll help you cook your meat to avoid burning! A Note on Locations: Centreville vs. Annandale: It's worth mentioning that the Centreville location might have slightly lower quality meat compared to the Annandale branch.

Not as good as I remember, but still decent! I thought the brisket could've been softer and more tender. The hawaiian bulgogi was delicious, but the regular bulgogi was on the drier side. My favorite meat was the spicy pork belly! So flavorful and the texture was great. I also loved the top blade - it was surprisingly thick, but tender and juicy when cooked medium rare. The banchans were great - japchae was tasty and I loved the kimchi. Service was quick and our server was pretty attentive. Ambiance was ok, but the place can get loud when it's busy. Luckily, the restaurant was quite empty on a Sunday around 12 pm. I enjoyed my lunch here, but would not come back as I have other Korean bbq go-to's.

Example of the type of hand dryer in the bathroom

I've been going to Iron Age since I was in college. I've been a big fan of the spicy sauce and haven't found anything quite like it at similar kbbq places, but maybe that's just me. I love the beef brisket and pork belly most, and the salad side dish has a great dressing. As far as the service, I felt a little bit like our main server was... hmm. I mean, he was fast at least! I think the 2nd one made me feel more welcome (when no one's got me I know Yullee's got me) If you haven't been to iron age before, know that it's a bit dim outside of your table, and they've got kpop music videos playing on screens around the room. It can be hard to hear, but overall I've always liked the experience. The darkness helps me forget there's other people around. What could improve? Well, more napkins from the start feels kind of necessary given the messy nature of the cooking and the sauce all happening in front of you. I also wish iron age had galbi. Most of the screens were tinted blue if you care about that. The bathroom only had those awkward Dyson hand dryers that make you feel like you're two centimeters from touching the germy equivalent of the bathroom floor (pic attached for reference of the type of hand dryer I'm talking about)

The food here is delicious and the service is always great when we come here! I suggest coming earlier in the day as it gets crazy packed later in the evening usually 6pm and later. I do wish for the sides there were options for the corn cheese and the potatoes. Otherwise they have a great drink selection and the food is delicious!

We have tried Iron Age from a different location and was not impressed compared to So restaurant. However when we found out that we had to make a reservation at So for a party of 8, we have to come up with a back up plan and since Iron Age Centreville is nearby, we decided to go there instead. The wait time was only for less than 30 minutes. We didn't wait inside the restaurant, but we received a text message once our table was ready. Normally, Iron Age has 2 menus for All You Can Eat buffet. All You Can Eat B is for $20 and does not have seafood in it, while All You Can Eat A is $25 and has seafood on their menu. Once we are seated, we were informed by our server that since it is a holiday when we ate there, there's no AYCE B option. We can only order from AYCE A. This was annoying because we never intended to order seafood. Like most Korean BBQ restaurants, we were expecting a lot of banchan (side dishes), but we were surprised that we were only 4 banchan available when we were seated. However you can order kimchi, japchae, rice cakes, from the menu as side dishes. I kind of like it cos there's not a lot of waste of food. I just wish that they also have mashed potatoes or fish cakes in their banchan menu. As for our food, we ordered pork belly and beef brisket, We loved it and we kept ordering it a few times. This was kind of the reason why we we only wanted the AYCE B because we didn't want anything else but the belly and the brisket. We enjoyed our meal since our foods were delicious. The only thing my friends didn't like was the undercooked rice. When we told the staff about it, they immediately exchanged it, but it was still undercooked. Until this day, I still don't understand the hype with Iron Age. I still prefer So whenever we are in NorVa. However I still recommend Iron Age for the Korean BBQ experience,

    Never changed the hot plate..

If I could give this zero stars I would. This place used to be good & the service was even better.... AFTER this time I went I will NEVER go back. I brought my mother and my family here, it was seven of us. Our server was acting as if he was uninterested in his job. He did not pass out the waters did not fill our sauce did not change the hot plate out after multiple rounds of meat.. we had to basically serve ourselves. I will not be coming back here after this. Have a blessed day....

I have been to Iron Age several times before COVID and I always have a wonderful experience. Unlike other Korean BBQ places, Iron Age has a Kpop party feel so expect that the place can get loud due to Korean pop music continuous playing in the background. Due to COVID restrictions, Iron Age has made their all you can eat menu available online. Guests are now expected to watch the meat cooking although our server stopped by every now and then to make sure the BBQ wasn't burning. During my most recent visit, we ordered Beef Brisket, Beef Bulgogi, and Top Blade Steak. We also requested for rice, steamed egg, japchae, and vegetables. Our orders came in right away and we had an amazing experience. I'd love to return soon!

Food: there was a blend of Chinese-American, sushi and Thai. I typically do not go to restaurants that have that many Asian cuisines on their menu because it looks confusing to me. I normally choose more 'authentic' style restaurants. I want to state that so my review doesn't seem too harsh. 2 of my friends and I shared the crab rangoons, Peking duck and broccoli. Crab Rangoon was average but I did appreciate the sauce wasn't the typical sweet chili sauce. Our main had great crispy skin but the duck was dry. I was disappointed since it was $69 so I was expecting it to be a lot better. The broccoli had great taste but u was surprised that it was American broccoli and not Chinese broccoli. I understand it's Chinese American but maybe I should have read the description a little better. My friends did love it. Overall - the food was ok. The service was great.

The chicken adobo here is tender, fall-off-the-bone perfection, but the real star is the sauce.
