The cold udon was perfectly cooked with a nice al dente chew, making it incredibly refreshing in the summer heat. The portion size was also very generous, offering excellent value for the price. Greeted by a friendly server who seated us at a table for 4 right at the front of the restaurant. We ordered Octopus Tempura, Chicken Teriyaki and Tonkatsu lunch specials, and Spider Rolls. The 2 specials came with an eggplant appetizer, edamame, miso soup, and green salad. These were all great and the salad dressing was very good. I had the pork cutlet which was a relatively thick piece of pork with a nice breading that was light and not greasy. The octopus was nicely breaded, cooked well, not too chewy. The spider rolls were ok but I've had better. The green tea was nice and water for my youngest daughter was served in a small plastic cup. I love little extras like this. All of the food was served on very nice Japanese dinnerware, unlike the melamine stuff you normally see at other places. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. My husband ordered nigiri sushi: red snapper and white tuna. Both of these were bland, with a mushy mouthfeel. My oyster had lots of sheen and liquor, but they were clearly harvested long ago, and were shriveled in their shells. Both of us left with upset stomachs. As a topper, our young waiter asked us as we settled the bill, "Why are you old folks out during the busy time?" OMG. This restaurant is affiliated with Wind restaurant, which also uses robot servers. The Buffalo location has wider aisles: Here, it was dinner-and-a-show watching the servers and patrons dodge and weave around the robots.

But I would've liked for their to be more meat/tofu in the kimchi jigae, and a bit more portions of the seotteok to justify the price. In the end, I would love to come here again and try out some of the other dishes that they have.
