The coffee was fantastic but it was $11 with tip. The ladies that were running it were super nice.

What stood out though was the service. So friendly and attentive, we felt really taken care of. She even brought my dog some water. The live music was cool too. Highly recommend!

Service: 4 stars Food: 2 stars…read more We were greeted by a kind waitress who promptly seated us in the back of the restaurant which was cooler on a super hot day. Apparently people were all about the paninis here so we ordered the chicken pesto panini, BLT and a raspberry scone. The waitress was attentive and kind and would show my kids options for scones and chips on a tray so they could choose for themselves which was a nice touch. However the scone was weirdly creamy and soft? Idk, it was just not great. Also the chicken pesto paninis were on focaccia bread which itself was good, but fell apart and the chicken was just a whole chicken breast that was bland and really hard to eat because it was so thick. The whole thing was messy and fell apart. Had to eat with a knife and fork and unfortunately it wasn't appetizing at that point. The potato salad was also really creamy which some may like but I think we prefer a less creamy, more potato-ish forward salad. My son really enjoyed his BLT though, so there's that! I may just stick to drinks if I were to return to this place unless they revamp their recipes.

We had stopped by the highway, where the view of lush greenery and rolling hills was nice. I approve! It was nice to sit on the patio watching the passing cars, and the tarp above us provided pleasant shade from the sun. My daughter and I shared the Biscuits and Gravy with scrambled eggs and sausages. The homemade biscuits were buttery and flaky--absolutely delicious. My partner and her daughter shared either a skillet or an omelet; I don't quite remember since I didn't take a picture. Regardless, we were all satisfied with our meals and ready to continue our adventure. The service was friendly and efficient. I didn't even get to check out inside the restaurant. Was there an inside? A quick tip: you'll need a key to access the restrooms. I noticed several people walk over only to discover the door was locked, so I made sure to ask for the key. According to their website, this place has a fascinating history--it once served as a miner's supply store before becoming a hotel. I believe there are still rooms available, as I noticed you can reserve cabins with twin and queen beds. While I might not stay in a cabin myself, I would definitely return for the food.

The only thing to note is that parking is limited so I image some days are busier than others so you may want to stop by during off hours. We came for an early lunch on a Monday on our way back to the city from visiting Yosemite. They offer breakfast and lunch options. All the food taste fresh and the prices were reasonable. All of us ordered different burgers with a side of our choice. I had the hot and spicy burger which was topped with jalapeño, pepper jack cheese and salsa. It was not that spicy but had good flavor. The salsa was a bit messy so I probably wouldn't get it again. For my side I had the sweet potato fries and wish they were more crispy. I enjoyed the regular fries off my husband's plate more. I also had a taste of the coleslaw which was also good. The burger itself was cooked well but not dry. We all shared the cheesecake for dessert which was thick and creamy just as you expect. I also had the fresh lemonade which was refreshing but could have more lemon flavor in it. Overall we all enjoyed our food and would recommend visiting.

The 4 adults and 3 kids seated outside with me ordered right before me but were served within 10 to 15 minutes. The server was pleasant and attentive to them. They were basically done eating and another server literally tossed my cold tacos onto table. He was really sweaty and abrupt. The tortillas were stone cold and looked like they must have been cooked at some point because they had brown char marks on them . The chicken was cold and dry cut into cubes with some reddish powder so they may have been moist at some point. There was some white sauce drizzled on them that looked like it had just been applied since it had not soaked in at all. The $5 guacamole was a table spoon at most. The salsa even less. The handful of chips were generic and stale tasting. I asked him if I could get some water since I drank my beer already since I had been there over 40 minutes. He dismissed me abruptly and pointed at sign on table to order online. He left . I was in shock. I was so excited to stop here on way home to San Francisco. The tacos were dreadful.
