Avocado toast with eggs and sausage gravy. Bacon on the side

I have been to this location many times. I love the consistency of this place. All of the ingredients are fresh and delicious. The pancakes are on point. I would die to have the pancake recipe as it tops everything I've ever tasted. The owners and their daughter offer the most welcoming ambiance. Anytime we have family in town we bring them with us.

This is the perfect place for to try the best breakfast burrito ever! We tried the OG and the Beacon burrito. These were so full filling and hit the spot. The service was great and quick. Must stop by.

Located across the street from Firefall Ranch is a Tangled Hearts Cafe, a hidden gem about 15 miles west of the CA-120 entrance to Yosemite National Park. Don't let the modest exterior deter you from going inside, the Tangled Hearts Cafe has a myriad of breakfast dishes to choose from. The food is excellent and our host, Ledina, was great. I had the OG breakfast burrito stuffed with turkey sausage. If you saved room for sweets, the Tangled Heart offers plenty of treats and pastries. The Tangled Heart Cafe is a must stop when traveling to or from Yosemite! Just about every entree on the menu is priced under $20 pp but after drinks and taxes expect to pay over $20 pp.

Don't skip this little place and get there asap because I overheard the owner mention they're only open seasonally and this year (2019) they plan to "stay open as long as they can". Friends know I am not a fan of biscuits and gravy but since I made this trip without the man specimen I wanted to channel his love for B&G and placed a 1/2 order. You know what? The dish was Deeeeelicous with a capital D. Chunky sausage flavorful country gravy atop butter grilled fresh baked biscuits. Come on, what's not to love? This girl might have to change her mind about B&G. We also ordered a short stack of pancakes with bacon of course because bacon and buttermilk. Period. The only thing that would have made these better would be warm syrup and I bet if I asked nicely, they'd give it a couple seconds in the nuke machine. P-cakes and bacon were sublime. The bestie ordered "My Better Half" and judging from the empty plate, she enjoyed it just fine. Peeeeeeet's coffee served here. If nothing else, they have Peet's. A week without my beloved was torture, but I got my fix here and even if it wasn't Major Dickason's I was satisfied with the blend that day. You want cookies, scones or pastries? They bake 'em here. We refrained but now I'm craving one of those peanut butter cookies tied up pretty next to the coffee pots. You can get your Tie Dye fix here (made by local artists). Don't forget to put a pin in it...or on it, on your home city that is. Check out the "Where are you from" map, it's cool as all get out. No idea what that saying means but it sounds good. Friendly service, ample parking, easy to find with directions. No real bathroom, outhouse is all so if that bothers you do your business at home, hotel, B&B or elsewhere. No wi-fi either so I had to check in a couple miles away when the signal cleared. Forest, dig it? And p.s. homemade food takes time, so chillax while the geniuses are doing their thing in the kitchen. It's worth the wait.

I wish I could give them more stars!! We stoped by for breakfast on our way to Yosemite. Chorizo and mushroom skillet ! That's all I have to say!! Friendly service, great food, convenient location - wha else do you need?

Chicken Fried Steak sandwich with sausage gravy to dip

We just ate here this morning. Wow! Delicious. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich and family had the burrito and chicken fried steak breakfast. Wouldn't change a thing. The tables and place was so clean. We can't wait to visit again.

Sausage and bacon biscuits and gravy

We stopped by the cafe twice over the weekend because I wanted to try their biscuits & gravy, but given I wanted to be able to carry something hiking, I got the rafter burrito and my partner got the Class 5 burrito. They both had the gravy inside, but the Class 5 also had the biscuit. The sausage gravy is goooood in both of them and we knew we had to come back the next day to try them in their unadulterated states. We were in for an even more pleasant surprise because they had bacon and sausage in their gravy and hot damn that gravy is magnificent. It's this complexity of buttery richness with this slightly sweet tang that kept me guessing what kinda fat they put in it and how they pulled out some extra depth. The croissant was good, but I'll dip anything in that gravy. If u like biscuits and gravy as much as I do, u have to stop by.

We had stopped by the highway, where the view of lush greenery and rolling hills was nice. I approve! It was nice to sit on the patio watching the passing cars, and the tarp above us provided pleasant shade from the sun. My daughter and I shared the Biscuits and Gravy with scrambled eggs and sausages. The homemade biscuits were buttery and flaky--absolutely delicious. My partner and her daughter shared either a skillet or an omelet; I don't quite remember since I didn't take a picture. Regardless, we were all satisfied with our meals and ready to continue our adventure. The service was friendly and efficient. I didn't even get to check out inside the restaurant. Was there an inside? A quick tip: you'll need a key to access the restrooms. I noticed several people walk over only to discover the door was locked, so I made sure to ask for the key. According to their website, this place has a fascinating history--it once served as a miner's supply store before becoming a hotel. I believe there are still rooms available, as I noticed you can reserve cabins with twin and queen beds. While I might not stay in a cabin myself, I would definitely return for the food.

The only thing to note is that parking is limited so I image some days are busier than others so you may want to stop by during off hours. We came for an early lunch on a Monday on our way back to the city from visiting Yosemite. They offer breakfast and lunch options. All the food taste fresh and the prices were reasonable. All of us ordered different burgers with a side of our choice. I had the hot and spicy burger which was topped with jalapeño, pepper jack cheese and salsa. It was not that spicy but had good flavor. The salsa was a bit messy so I probably wouldn't get it again. For my side I had the sweet potato fries and wish they were more crispy. I enjoyed the regular fries off my husband's plate more. I also had a taste of the coleslaw which was also good. The burger itself was cooked well but not dry. We all shared the cheesecake for dessert which was thick and creamy just as you expect. I also had the fresh lemonade which was refreshing but could have more lemon flavor in it. Overall we all enjoyed our food and would recommend visiting.

We came here on the three separate occasions we did while we were at the Ranch last Summer; I've…read morehad this review in drafts for almost an entire year, and I figured it was time to finally post it. The first experience was less than satisfactory (for me atleast)...The second was absolutely phenomenal...And the third was good as well. The ambiance is like any tavern; classy but warm, and you'll feel right at home in an otherwise perilous place like Yosemite. The service here was absolutely phenomenal; the staff are always looking to make sure their customers are satisfied and often go above and beyond for them whenever they're not. The meals however, I'm mixed on. So the first time, I decided to order their "grilled ceasar". All I can say is this is apparently deconstructed and is anything *but* a caesar...I'll grill this one personally and just say pass...Then I tried the pan-seared duck breast...It felt undercooked and flavorless, and even after cooking it a little more, it still felt disappointingly bland. After barely finishing the duck, I quite literally thought to myself "got any grapes?" and waddled away to the convenience store for a microwavable meal after that... Brutal? Absolutely...Now you're probably thinking "If your experience was so bad, why should I bother eating here?" with how vitriolic I was about it. One bad meal doesn't mean all of them were misses, and mind you, I'm only 1 of 5 in the group at the time...And one of them suggested that over what I originally wanted...The latter which we'll talk about next. Now the second time was actually much, *much* better. That time I ordered a tomato soup (which they had that time) and the Quatro Formaggi Mac. The mac was absolutely to die for. It was garnished with breadcrumbs, the cheeses were strong and bursting with flavor, and no matter what meat you have put in there, you'll walk away satisfied like a bear that stole someone's picnic! The third time was breakfast. Honestly I'd cannot complain; not much to say there though. But it was definitely good! I will warn you that, as far as I know, the menu has changed since I've last eaten there; some of these items may or may not be available anymore. Overall? A solid spot I'd recommend to anyone who managed to brave a perilous mountain drive and found their way to the Ranch!

We especially loved the kale and farro salad. Came on a Thursday evening in May at 6:30 pm and were seated for a table of 4 with no wait. Great lunch option after doing Zephyr white water rafting!…read more I ate here with my husband for lunch on a Friday around 12:30 PM. Parking was easy to find, but may be challenging if you're not staying at the connected Yosemite Bug Inn and if it's busy. We ordered at the counter and were given a metal number card. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and patient with us as we decided what to order. We enjoyed coconut water and kombucha for our drinks. We didn't wait long for our food to arrive at our table outside. This is what we ordered: * Chocolate cream pie - it was chocolatey with a thin shortbread crust. Just the right amount of sweet for us. * Chipotle chicken quesadilla - I tasted a small piece and thought it was flavorful. They put a generous amount of cheese. * Bombay sandwich - Warm vegetarian sandwich with potatoes and other veg with what tasted like a pesto or vinegar based sauce. The bread was crisp and the sandwich was split in half. I enjoyed it. After tax and tip, we paid a total of $49.93. No pics this time since we were hungry :) We both enjoyed our meal overall and felt like the portions were big and satisfying. I would come back here again on another Yosemite trip!

My husband had the American breakfast one morning and the huevos rancheros the next (no photo of that one). I tried both the Farmer's Breakfast and the American breakfast. They definitely know how to cook their eggs! For dinner, my husband ordered the steak, which could've used a bit more seasoning, while I had the vegan noodle bowl. Both meals came in generous portions. We also shared two beers and an apple pie for dessert, which was absolutely delicious. The service was fine, nothing over the top, but consistent. We noticed it was often the same staff working multiple days. The ambiance was really nice, with a mix of travelers and foreigners since the resort also functions as a hostel. Despite that, the vibe was always calm and welcoming, we never saw a rowdy crowd. Having this café just steps away from our room was such a convenience.
