On our way home from Yosemite last week, we decided to stop in Groveland for some lunch. I needed a caffeine fix first so we checked out Caffe Dolce Vita. The inside was cute and rustic - they even had a few items for sale like tote bags. I was excited to check out their coffee specials menu, but they were out of the Tiramisu and S'mores Lattes which was a bummer. I sort of wondered why they didn't tell us that when we asked to see their menu - I ended up ordered the Dubai Latte instead. The Dubai Latte was decent - I did like the pistachio flavor, but it was really nothing special. Overall, the drinks came out quickly and staff were friendly enough. I know they service food for breakfast and lunch like Avocado Toast, Quiche and different sandwiches. I also saw pastries and loaves of bread in their glass case. Not sure if we'd visit again, but check them out and see for yourself! read more

Service: 4 stars Food: 2 stars We were greeted by a kind waitress who promptly seated us in the back of the restaurant which was cooler on a super hot day. Apparently people were all about the paninis here so we ordered the chicken pesto panini, BLT and a raspberry scone. The waitress was attentive and kind and would show my kids options for scones and chips on a tray so they could choose for themselves which was a nice touch. However the scone was weirdly creamy and soft? Idk, it was just not great. Also the chicken pesto paninis were on focaccia bread which itself was good, but fell apart and the chicken was just a whole chicken breast that was bland and really hard to eat because it was so thick. The whole thing was messy and fell apart. Had to eat with a knife and fork and unfortunately it wasn't appetizing at that point. The potato salad was also really creamy which some may like but I think we prefer a less creamy, more potato-ish forward salad. My son really enjoyed his BLT though, so there's that! I may just stick to drinks if I were to return to this place unless they revamp their recipes. read more

Great spot! Parking is down a small alley behind the shop. Nice setup and great food and drinks! Plenty of seating and this Sunday morning they had a guy on a guitar. Avocado toast and waffle are phenomenal! We also liked the frappes and macchiato. Kudos to our server Shayna. Drinks could get a little backed up, but not a bad wait at all. Stopped by here for some morning coffee and light breakfast. Upon entering, live music was playing; a man sang American Pie ( feels like we took a step back in time for a brief moment). The shop's interior and ambiance were cute and quaint. We ordered the avocado sandwich with fresh green arugula and balsamic, which was delicious, and the sandwich was amazing. Amanda is such a kind person and so easy to chat with and enjoy a stop. The place is really nice and comfy, I had the pesto ham sandwich and it was the best ive had in a long time or ever, got with potato salad that was great also, had big chunks of red potatoes in it and other add ins that made it fantastic. As I write this review I am struggling to accurately review this place. I initially wanted to leave 3 stars as I was hoping it would encourage improvement, but now realizing I've returned three times at this point for multiple reasons. I feel as though I have to leave four stars because of this. I can say that if you enjoy a drip coffee this is my go to every time. I love that it isn't burnt and the flavor of the coffee barely needs a touch of half and half and its delicious. Ive had the truffle prosciutto sandwich every time I've been here because I just cant get enough of it. So far everything has been delicious. The brushetta, breakfast panini, pistachio waffle, and breakfast burrito did not disappoint. A few friendly critics would be during breakfast rush on weekends to have more then one pot of coffee brewing as the coffee goes fast and I have had to wait a few times for it to be freshly brewed. The items in the back of the shop are a bit too steep in price for the area although it has plenty of potential, and lastly I would up my review to five stars once there is wine pairings for the food and a possible limited dinner option for the locals who could reserve a seat during the slow season. read more

This cafe is such a cute concept. They have different syrups to add flavoring to your drinks. They are very accommodating! Always checking up on you and are willing to adjust your drink to your liking. They have many snacks and other bottled beverages on the side as well as little trinkets to buy. They have a patio as well. Hopefully in the future they have more drink options! read more

I was in town and wanted an iced treat so I stopped here and found the cutest little coffee shop inside! Their drink menu was very festive (it is currently December) and they let me customize my drink. I got a gingerbread chai latte with cold foam and it was delicious. The prosciutto truffle burrata sandwich here is the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here multiple times a week. Staff were extremely friendly and the aesthetic is very cozy. The pistachio mortadella sandwich was also delicious. My family and I went into the cafe on a busy weekend and we all having quite a "day". We had big emotions and feelings and just needed a good place to decompress and share a meal. Amanda and her staff welcomed us with open arms, filled our bellies and hearts. There was no judgement, just smiles. My kids were spread out on the floor playing and being silly and she just rolled with it so graciously. Caffe Dolce Vita is beyond family friendly, they have the best food made with so much love and care and their coffee is so delicious. They're welcoming, warm and kind and you can feel the utter sense of community when walking in. Her and her staff are incredibly wonderful, gracious and patient. We all had the much needed break because of the kindness we experienced. I highly recommend stopping in for a bite to eat and to experience the wonderful hospitality.
