If breakfast is your thing, this place deserves a spot at the top of your list. And if you're a biscuits-and-gravy or chicken-fried-steak person, honestly, you'll want to stop here more than once. I went for the Country Boy, which comes with their house-made biscuits and from-scratch gravy paired with a perfectly cooked chicken fried steak. I added eggs because... why not? Photos don't even come close to showing how good this plate really is. It's comfort food done right, and this spot is officially our go-to whenever we're in the area. The inside is surprisingly spacious, the atmosphere feels relaxed, and major bonus, they welcome well-behaved dogs. That alone makes it an easy choice for us. Highly recommend!

Avocado toast with a side of eggs
Jennifer G.

Stopped by on a Saturday morning. When we entered, we greeted the workers and told them good morning. We received absolutely no response from them. They warmed up a little when we approached the counters. We ordered avocado toast which came on sourdough, with everything bagel seasoning, thick cuts of tomato and micro greens. I also ordered over medium eggs on the side. The food was served on paper plates. The toast was very underwhelming. It was generally flavorless without adding a lot of salt and hot sauce. The bread was not hearty or toasted enough to support all the toppings. The tomato was cut in thick slices which made it hard to cut with the plastic forks. There was a generous amount of microgreens on to. However the toast desperately needed salt and an acid, like a pickled onion, in order to fill out the flavor. And at $14, the quality doesn't justify the price. I also ordered a side of potatoes and they were very soggy and unseasoned. I don't think I'd return.

Want some really good hash browns?

Yes , yes yes! Loved the biscuits and gravy with chicken fried steak which they dip in buttermilk not eggs. I can't eat eggs so breakfast sometimes is limited but not so much here! They have plenty of eggs dishes but so many delicious alternatives like the hash browns with black beans and avocado which my friend had and it was also so good! Definitely recommend this cute and friendly cafe!

Sweet family owned and operated cafe nestled next to a gas station on the way to Yosemite NP. Great home made food, baked goods/desserts from the owner/waitress, dinner by her Shia nd who's makes a mean burger! Burgers are the highlight, loaded fries are a fun addition. Local charm and rustic atmosphere create a homey and quaint experience.

This is the burger and loaded fries.

This place has the best service ever. We had the best experience dinning in on our way to Yosemite National Park. We are so glad to have experience a welcoming and warming atmosphere. Service was divine. The food is the best we have ever had. Definitely recommend the burgers and the loaded fries. Will be coming backing whenever we are in the area again.

Outstanding service form Bubba and the waitress and wonderful food, would definitely come back on another trip. Solid cafe on the way to Yosemite

Homemade chilli cheese omelette, homemade cornbread, and hash browns. If you can make a good chili you impress me!

Between the two cafes, go to this one. Friendly, gluten free options, relaxing. Reuben was tasty.

Headed to Yosemite, make sure to stop and fuel up (breakfast burrito) on the way. Food was great and hospitality was even better.

One of my favorite chocolate lattes ever came from here…read more It had a light mouthfeel and wasn't too sweet, a well-balanced latte that was neither bitter nor too sweet. Super aromatic and tasted even better since you can see them pulling the espresso shot. My friend's lavender latte was delicious. First floral note giving away to an excellent latte. They know their stuff here. We loved the staff here. Very friendly and helpful, I loved complimenting the baristas on their craft and passing along the cheerfulness from the cashier who was very welcoming. They were very methodical and consistent with each drink, it seems. The shop was cute, with ample parking. The patio was busy-ish with people flocking in and out to pick up their orders once their name was called. I liked the combination of rustic and modern decorations, making for AN EXCELLENT stop before heading in or out of Yosemite. This coffee is worth going out of the way for since you will be leaving very happy after pleasant interactions and a deliiiiiicious coffee. 10/10!

They were too sweet, and the coffee flavor felt very light -- almost lost behind the milk and syrup. If you enjoy sweeter, milder drinks, this place might work for you. But if you're looking for a stronger, more noticeable coffee taste, it may not be the best choice. Overall, it's a nice spot, but the coffee itself didn't really stand out to me.

Service is always friendly and speedy. Just love the interior decor, with all the sewing machines and eclectic items.

I finally decided to stop in with my 5 y/o son. The outside decor and ambiance were adorable and the merchandise had fun designs. Unfortunately, the interaction with the owner completely changed the experience. He seemed irritated from the moment I ordered a hot chocolate for my son, correcting me in a rude and dismissive tone that it was "hot cocoa" and annoyedly asking how many I wanted. I said one and then asked if they had a menu so I could see what type of coffee they offered. That simple question also seemed to frustrate him and he dismissively responded, "It's just coffee," while shaking his head. His overall tone came across as arrogant, annoyed, and dismissive over normal questions, which made the interaction uncomfortable. I was shocked by the attitude, especially from a business owner. Maybe he was having a bad day, and I do see many positive reviews, but I also noticed other reviews mentioning similar experiences with the owner. It's disappointing because we were really looking forward to trying this place. I ended up saying never mind and leaving. My son didn't understand why we walked out without getting what we came for and I explained that I didn't want to support a business where customers are treated rudely. I truly hope the owner is doing okay and is able to treat customers more respectfully in the future because it seems like there's a great product behind the business. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to try it.

The inside is pretty big with a decent amount of seating - I also like their décor with all the plants and artwork. We ordered the Strawberry Latte from the Spring menu, another latte with cute latte art and a Morning Bun. I really enjoyed the Strawberry Latte - it had a strong coffee flavor and a slight strawberry flavor. My daughter loved the Morning Bun - it took her 2 days to finish it. Their Spring menu also included a Strawberry Mocha, Strawberry White Chocolate Mocha, Strawberry Matcha Latte as well as iced teas and lemonades! Overall, this is a super cute coffee shop in downtown Sonora and staff were friendly and patient while we decided on what to order. I will absolutely come back for more the next time I am in town! I tried the strawberry mocha latte, which was not overly sweet but still gave the flavoring of a chocolate-covered strawberry. For food, I have tried both the almond poppyseed muffin and the egg, bacon, and cheese croissant. The sandwich was warmed for me, but the egg was still fairly cold to really enjoy the sandwich. The croissant was delicious though - very buttery and flaky. Definitely something that I would try again but I would recommend asking for it to be warmed for an additional two to three minutes.
