They aren't some greedy corporate business looking to take every penny from you. It's a family run business that look to provide the best services for you. When I was inquiring about a membership, they guy didn't try to sell me on it at all. He just went over what they offer and gave me everything I needed and told me that I could go home and think about it and just to come back if I was interested or to call if I had any further questions. I went back the next morning and there was a different guy working the counter. He was a riot. He walked me through the gym again like I requested and he was just a total hoot. He really made me feel welcome. I was very impressed by how family oriented this place felt. The workers knew the members names when they walked in. Everyone got an acknowledgement. I really like the feel for this place. They don't have annual fees or start up fees for their membership. (Like I said they really aren't trying to screw you in any way possible) I can't wait to really utilize this facility. I'm excited!

As much as they love attending it's not really affordable to send both kids year round (they also practice jiu jitsu at another place). It is located in Coventry now so it's a bit of a drive as well. The classes are filled and anyone is welcome. You can join with zero experience and will be warmly welcomed. The owners Sensei Serge Boyssou his wife Liz are two incredible people who have changed the lives of so many especially by getting kids off the street and providing them a safe environment to grow. I joined this club at 16 when I was new to judo and only had wrestling experience. There are a ton of female athletes in the club that has never been divided or discriminated. The minute you step in the met gender disappears and you respect your opponent and protect them. Katelyn their daughter runs most of the classes and is an extremely accomplished judoka and wrestler. Many of the students compete and travel frequently. There is a long list of accomplishments that come from this club. Serge always has seminars and camps and in the physical sense you could never get a better workout. There's also a Weight room in the back. Serge goes over and beyond for all of his students and will give you the shirt off his back if you put the time in. This truly is an amazing special place that made me a million times better person, I wouldn't trade the lessons I've learned here physically and mentally for anything. I highly recommend !

Lots of free weights, grunge type..you know, where you actually sweat. Well, this is one of those places with a twist. There are two separate buildings; side-by-each as we say in RI. One houses the strength conditioning equipment (weights, treadmills) and the other is the cardio side which houses the boxing ring, heavy bags and everything else you would typically find in a MMA environment. What's nice is it's not your typical (Yo, Adrienne!) type gym or mentality. I would estimate it is evenly split 50/50-male/female...as more people become aware of the benefits of this type of cardio/core training. There is instruction (group and private) at all levels including: children's sessions in Boxing and Jujitsu; adult Muay Thai; BJJ, Boxing (non-contact) and sparring (only if you wish). While there are other places that offer some type of self-defense training, this is the ONLY boxing venue in the area. Overall, the best price structure as well. So if you're a beginner-advanced, just want to lose weight....OR MAYBE...you want to learn a good take down move the next time the guy in front of you is about to clear out the crab legs at the buffet...then this is the place.
