And all the other women in the classes are down to earth and collaborative through the workouts. The classes are hard and I always feel a huge sense of accomplishment when I'm done. The owners Adam and Alecia are incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. I found the same to be true for the entire coaching staff. If you are afraid to try CrossFit this is a great gym to start at. Their programing has the standard "CrossFit" workouts but also always has an alternative in case you don't want to lift heavy or just aren't feeling a specific movement that day. With plenty of class times to choose from it is easy to fit in your schedule. They also offer other services nutrition, personal, and specialized training if that is what you prefer. It is also easy to get the free class if you just want to try it and see what it is all about.

The first time around I used their provided earbuds which were very uncomfortable. My ears are known to be small, and afterwards I was sore, so this time, I remembered my own ear bud loops for loud noises. I love how they are still offered for free because my gym anxiety is very high and I felt brave going today by myself after the free Yelp event. Really motivating and fast pace! You WILL get a good cardio workout with strength work! The bathroom was well equipped with scrunchies, deodorant, and body spray and feminine products. All bathrooms are gender neutral, and has two shower rooms. Each shower room has body wash, shampoo, and conditioner! I haven't tried it yet, but maybe I will if I needed too~ felt very inviting versus other daunting gym showers I've seen in the past. My last point is how friendly everyone is! As mentioned before, I DO enjoy the gym, but I can get easily overwhelmed by gym anxiety. I liked how the staff had such friendly smiles and were inviting but also, let us be (hopefully that makes sense). They didn't pay too much attention to me, and let me slide into the class with no "FIRST TIME FRIEND?!" Vibe other places attempt~ I felt included and in the zone right off the start. Will continue!

An incredible selection of machines to hit every single muscle group in multiple different ways. The pump was very real and I felt Uncaged The gym is clean, well-maintained, and organized, which makes every workout enjoyable. I got two great workouts in and felt right at home in a very welcoming community. The owner, Sara, was very friendly and quick to respond on email. The coach, Jo, was knowledgeable and motivating and put an emphasis on demonstrating movement standards and scaling. One interesting aspect of CMV is that they always have two WODs you can choose from- as a drop-in I definitely appreciated being able to choose the one that worked best for me on those days. The gym is small but well equipped and with a great outdoor space and two workouts they were able to accommodate a large class (over 20) with no problems. If you live in MV and are looking to pick up Crossfit or are an experienced Crossfitter looking to drop in while on vacation I highly recommend giving Crossfit Martha's Vineyard a try!

Like the CrossFit gym I'm used to at home in Oregon, her program attracts very fit people to those who are just starting out or back on a fitness journey. It was fun to see that she herself had competed at the Regional level. And she participated in parts of our 6am class, maybe as an extra. She took lots of videos - not sure where those get posted but it would be fun to see them!
