Perfect place to escape the craziness of PF! Tucked away behind all of the tourist attractions on a quiet street, I'm so glad we decided to stop here. We went for lunch on a Monday (holiday weekend) with our two young kids. Weather was perfect to sit outside which gave the kids some space to roam. Played a few table games and played in the open field while enjoying some delicious beers. The food was tasty too. My husband and I split the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the y'all that smash burger. Both were good but we both preferred the burger. Side salad and onion rings were great. We were looking for a bar bite place to have a reasonably-quick, reasonably-tasty dinner and Iron Forge came through. I called ahead to see if we needed a reservation. Nykaila delightfully grabbed the call, advised that they do take reservations but we could come right in. 15 min later we found this hidden gem a delightfully quick distance from the chaos which is Pigeon Forge. Decor is the traditional "warm industrial" of the modern brewpub/eatery. They have a beer for every mood and we had the enormously good fortune to have that same Nykaila as our waitress. I'm a hazy IPA; wife a traditional lager; 70-something mom loves a good cider; and my 14 year old loves stout (just kidding .. maybe). Beer was on-point. They allow dogs. We are a huge dog family .... hold on ... we aren't a huge, dog family (overweight) nor do we like overweight dogs (huge-dog) . Expressed another way, we L-O-V-E dogs. Normally, I would have taken off a star for the not-yet-ripened dessert and the fact we saw boneless wings on the online menu which have been sub'd for tenders, but those minor transgressions were no match for Nykaila's delightful service. Wow! Wish we could give more than 5 stars. We stopped by after a long day of driving and hiking and so thankful we found this place. First, the service. The bartender was so friendly and knowledgeable about the food and beer selections. (Highly recommended the Lilikoi). Food was delivered fast and well presented. Second, the food. Almost every menu item is made in house, including the dressings. We had the Smashburger and the hot Nashville chicken. The burger was incredibly juicy and the bacon jam and pimento cheese were such an incredible compliment on it. The Nashville hot chicken had a nice spicy kick to it tempered by the creamy coleslaw. The chicken was moist and juicy so ask for extra napkins! As you'll see in other reviews, the onion rings are talked about and there is a reason why. They were fresh with a nice crispy coating and a great add to the meal. If we lived in the area, we would be here often. If you get a chance, stop by. read more

On any vacation my husband and I love to check out a local brewery, and this was such an amazing location that was only 10 minutes from our hotel. Iron Forge Brewing is a huge space with delicious craft beer, a full bar, food menu, a pet friendly beer garden, and amazing mountain and river views. We sat inside at the bar on a Sunday afternoon and the bartender was so nice and friendly. My husband and I both got a flight of beer to sample a few different styles to decide what we wanted a pint of. My favorite beer I tried was the Rio Sunset, which is a wheat beer. We didn't get any food on our visit, though all of the food looked amazing that we saw coming out of the kitchen and a couple close to us at the bar got a flat bread that looked delicious This brewery is located in such a big, nice building and has the most beautiful views of the river. When we were there they had the roll up doors open on the side of the building because the weather was so nice outside. They have plenty of outside seating as well as a great area set up with boards to play corn hole. If we lived in Pigeon Forge we would be regulars at this amazing brewery! I'm a brewery groupie, so while in Pigeon Forge, I had to look for the local breweries to check them all out. This was by far my favorite in the area! The outdoor seating area was huge with a couple of fire pits as well. It was a little chilly for my visit, so I chose to sit inside. I wasn't disappointed inside at all. They had sports on the tv's behind the bar, as well as a projection tv playing the main football game on the wall. Plenty of seating, and sitting at the bar was fun. Our bartender was very nice and personable. He explained all of their brews and let me taste a few before I decided what all I wanted in my flight. I'm not a big IPA person, but theirs was one I could handle. The Iron Forge lager was super smooth, and I could have had a couple more of those. I also tried the Anvil Ale which was a strong scotch ale. It was a unique flavor but very tasty and smooth. Bigfoots red lengths was my second favorite on the list. I went in just looking to have a drink but when I saw that they had a food menu, I couldn't resist the fried green tomatoes. There seemed to be a little corn meal in the breading, but I'm not complaining. They were delish! The bacon jam took it right to the top. Their pimento cheese was house made and also yummy. No complaints there at all. I ended up purchasing a couple of shirts and a growler to take home. I will absolutely go back there next time I'm in Pigeon Forge!! Cheers! read more

Can I just say this chicken sandwich is truly the best chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life. It is so good I'm going to be dreaming about it. The onion rings too were also some of the best I've ever had. Perfectly crisp, but man that chicken sandwich was so delicious. The perfect amount of spice with the slaw for a nice cool down. All the of the beers were tasty but I'm a sucker for a good stout so the wrought iron was definitely a favorite. All in all, service was great, the layout was super cool with cornhole to play out on the patio. We wanted to sit outside and they accommodated up with a shady table which we were super grateful for. We checked out Iron Forge Brewing on our trip to the area last week, and we are locked in with a new favorite place! The bartenders, Luis and Paul, were fantastic, and the servers (Nate, Abby and Jackson) were great too. Yes, it's a brewery with amazing craft beers, but the food ... THE FOOD! We started with the fried green tomatoes. Paul shared with us that these are not frozen. They're fresh tomatoes sliced, breaded and fried in the kitchen and served with house-made bacon jam and house-made pimento cheese! Once I learned that the pimento cheese was made in-house, my dinner selection was a no-brainer ... the Y'all That Smasburger. Added some bacon, and it was amazing! My friend had the buffalo chicken sandwich and loved it. Their onion rings are fantastic too. Got a couple of four-packs to go on our way out. Whoever does their artwork for their cans and their merchandise is very talented! This is now our go-to place when visiting the area. The smash burgers were very good. The fries were hot and crispy and perfectly seasoned . The chicken tenders were hand breaded - nicely breaded . I had the Nashville sauce on the side - it was very good and had a great kick. My partner had the pork medallions wrapped in bacon. The medallions were served with rosemary potatoes and zucchini which was a solid choice if you are looking for something other than burgers . They also serve salads . Overall, a great brewery. Definitely recommend if you are in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. PS- Service was exceptional all three visits and they were very animal friendly. I was trying to plan my daughter's Rehearsal Dinner at Iron Forge. After speaking to Leah on the phone, I felt confident about having it there and excited. It seemed like the perfect place and exactly what we wanted. However, I never received the information that was promised. She told me I would receive a text message showing that I had the reservation and that I would receive an email with the menu for my daughter to choose her dinner options. I sent two more emails. I called three more times and each time I was told she was there, but too busy to speak on the phone. I was told that I would get the information and I never did. The last time I called, I was told that an " event coordinator," Opal, was hired to help Leah because she was overwhelmed. I was assured that I would receive a phone call from either Leah or Opal that day or the next. That call never came. I am frustrated and extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism from the owners/management team. I was told each time that they were in the process of opening another restaurant and that it was spring break so they were very busy. Understandable. However, not an excuse to not respond to me at all! I do not recommend you use this restaurant! read more

It was busy so we put our name and phone in. Was told it would be a 30 minute wait, and we could have a beer at the bar, but cannot order food there. We were lucky that we were able to get seats and we both ordered a drink Very friendly bar tender who gave us excellent service. She asked us if we wanted anything else. So we asked, can we get food here at the bar. Sure she said and gave us menus. Perfect! I ordered the salad and my spouse ordered the chicken fingers and onion rings. Both were excellent. Iron Forge holds a special place in my heart, because it's the first restaurant I visited in the Pigeon Forge area. I know it's located in Sevierville, so not technically in Pigeon Forge, but still. Just go with me. My family and I were tired from traveling and just wanted to get dinner (and a drink for the adults). The city of Pigeon Forge gets crowded at times, and restaurants fill up quickly, and there are lines and 45 minute wait lists and other things. We were facing these things, so we ventured a little ways north of the city and found Iron Forge. We also found a place with no wait (we visited on a weekday around 4 p.m.), great servers, great food, a family-friendly atmosphere and a generally nice place to relax and have a meal. Iron Forge is a brewery, so they make their own beer! They are also happy to give you a sample, if you ask. I loved the Lillikoi, a hazy IPA that they make in-house. It's fruity and refreshing. I loved it so much that I got a growler to take with me back to my hotel. The food is your usual pub far: burgers, fries, etc. I got the loaded tots, which is considered an appetizer and are tater tots topped with beer cheese, bacon, sour cream and green onions. They took a good while to come out from the kitchen, but they were worth the wait because they were tasty and had the idea loaded tot texture: half mealy and half crispy. Love me some loaded tots. They have a kids' menu here, with just three offerings: a smash burger, mac & cheese, and chicken tenders. Kids meals come with one side, either fries, tater tots, onion rings, roasted vegetables, coleslaw or a side salad. Kids meals do no come with a beverage. My kids got a cheeseburger and the mac & cheese and loved them both. This place has beautiful outdoor seating. There are twinkle lights in the outdoor patio area, as well as fire pits. It was too cold to sit outside when we visited, but the lights were on and the fire pits were blasting, and the space looked magical and inviting. read more

We went in after a day at Dollywood. The atmosphere was amazing, and the staff was friendly. The food was good, not earth shattering. We had the smash burger with onion rings (which were overly salty) and the margherita pizza. I am a more malty beer lover and I could not find a beer I enjoyed. Their IBUs were off in my opinion I had a couple of normal ales with around 20 IBUs that I couldn't finish because they were so hop forward. The other gripe, the bar was suuuuuuper slow. We ordered drinks and it took about 15-20 minutes to get the first round, they were busy, but they also kept taking orders at the bar and prioritizing them even when they were super backed up on the table orders. So after we ate we ordered another round (and they were far less busy) and after 15 minutes we asked the waitress to cancel it, but then it was the next order they were pouring. If you are going to hang, make sure you preorder your drinks or you may be disappointed. read more

The bartender and hostess were so rude would not let us order food from bar was "too busy" and then when we asked for a server she gave me attitude and said it would be over an hour when it wasn't busy.
