Tried this place out through Uber Eats because traffic was so bad there was just no way to get to it. We ended up going back to our Air BNB and ended up finding this place and decided to try it. After putting in our order and having 3 different drivers cancel on us, we finally got one driver that stuck it out and got our food. To be fair it was some weird event happening with a lot of uh I'll say people in huge jacked up trucks with huge wheels which is why we went back to our Air BNB we felt super uncomfortable. Anyways to the food we ordered quit a bit of food so first up is the cheese and queso. I thought this was really good. The cheese had great flavor and wasn't runny or watery. It was a really good consistency with a slight kick. The chips though were good and crunchy but could have used salt. They were also a touch oily. Next up the sampler. The quesadillas were actually bomb would get again, the mozzarella sticks were fried perfectly and still cheesy, The wings were well sauced but could have used some seasoning. The sauces for everything was also good. Lastly I had this huge bacon cheese burger with a fried onion on it. The burger was seasoned well and cooked just how I wanted it. This bad boy was thick and juicy and I would 100% get this again. The fries however were terrible. All in all I'd definitely order from here again. After about 5 minutes of standing amongst other diners waiting to be seated, I went to the bar to ask an employee. She told us to seat ourselves. We ordered the nachos for an appetizer. We arrived about 5:15 on Sunday. About 25-30 people in the bar. Tod was our waiter. We ordered the pretzels and nachos. We had to ask for plates. The beer cheese was terrible. The cheese tasted like cold beer it had absolutely no cheese taste. The nachos were probably the worse I've ever had. The beer was cold. We were supposed to meet 4 other couples there but we called them and told them not to come. We stopped in for a bite after shopping all day. Really hot out so we were not going to go anywhere until we saw a sign for BLUFFS ON A BILLBOARD . Found it with ease. Everybody was very polite. We got seated really fast. They were remotely busy. It was 830. Our order was taken pretty fast and we got an amazing appetizer and drinks. We are from Texas, home of Tex-Mex. DO NOT ORDER STEAK FAJITAS HERE. It does not taste good! Thinly sliced beef with no flavor for $19.99. Husband got a Mountain Margarita for $11 and it was okay. We also shared Zesty Rolls appetizers ($12.99) and they're kinda like southwestern eggrolls at Chili's. A little pricey for 3 eggrolls. Stopped in for lunch, we saw bluffs when we used the laundry mat next door. Very well pleased. The ambiance was nice, very clean, well lit and welcoming. We sat at bar for 20 minutes without being acknowledged on St Patrick's day. Bar had many open seats a plenty of open tables so they weren't slammed. I'm laughing at some of these stupid and ridiculous reviews. It's a busy bar at times princesses, so you might have to wait. You're no more special than the next person who have to wait. All the locals go here for a reason. Food is great! Especially the wings. Tuesday and Thursday nights are karaoke and it's always fun. My husband and I ate here a few days ago for lunch. It was busy, but our waitress Linda was friendly, on top of it, and didn't skip a beat! The restaurant looked clean. We got sweet tea to drink and split the loaded nachos and the Cobb salad. The nachos were pretty well loaded, hot, and served quickly. The Cobb salad was also well loaded and had fresh bacon on top. The wings were a hit and the live music was an awesome surprise. Our family of 4 was visiting the area and decided on a casual dining experience. The service was good, all hands on deck, we waited a bit for our server to check on us after our plates were dropped but she was explaining the menu to a table that just walked in, since she was patient with us we decided to offer the same grace. We tried 4 different preparations of chicken and our son ordered the steak fajitas. We were not a fan of the rice being serviced on the skillet, usually the protein and veggies come out steaming. The email lacked a bit of flavor but our server was happy to bring a side of queso and that was the perfect addition. The appetizers were pretty typical, cheese sticks and pretzels but the sauces made them even better. We loved the beer cheese but if you get the pretzels I recommend asking for an additional side of queso! The wings were really delicious! We tried the hot Buffalo, spicy ranch, Caribbean & boneless salt and pepper. They were exactly as described but I loved the hot Buffalo the best, especially with traditional blue cheese dressing for dipping The salt and pepper was a bit much, way too salty for me but it was served exactly as described. The sides were yummy, the macaroni and cheese was perfect for our 10yr old and the loaded baked potato salad was a delicious twist on a southern favorite. The best surprise of the night was the live music! We stayed a little longer and drank a little more because we were having such a good time. For a Monday night, this place was hopping! The food here was OUTSTANDING, so I can see why it's popular! We started off with their appetizer sampler ($16). You get to pick and choose which item you want on the platter, so that was awesome. We got the fried pickles, which featured thin pickle slices with a crispy batter coating. We also chose the southwest quesadilla. The quesadilla was as expected, but it was amazing with the sauce. The last item in the sampler we picked was the boneless wings - Caribbean flavor. I LOVED the Caribbean flavor! It was sweet, a bit fruity, and with a tiny spicy kick. They have SO many flavors (over a dozen, I think!) we'll have to come back to try some more out! We also got an order of spicy fish tacos with fries ($13). The fish pieces were large and pretty generous, no skimping here. Fried to a crisp and seasoned well too. The toppings were standard (lettuce, tomatoes) with a slightly spicy sauce. It came with a ton of fries that were just perfect. I also ordered the classic burger with fries. (Hey, I know it's a lot of food, but the Monday night special had it for $8. Can't say no to that!) My burger came on a lightly grilled brioche bun. The meat was thick and juicy, with standard toppings (tomatoes, onion, lettuce, cheese). It was excellently cooked and again a generous portion for the price! The fries it came with were perfectly crisp, thin, and salted really well. I couldn't stop eating! I love the burgers! I sort of miss the old place compared to the new, but one of my favorites for club sandwich or burgers. I couldn't help but notice some reviews said tasted like frozen patty, I have never experienced that. Most people can tell difference in fresh and frozen as soon as they start eating, I have never experienced that here at all. Always taste fresh, it's hot, and seasoned, never plain or dull taste. I don't like karaoke in general,; so we avoid those days, but they always have something going on. Not sure about the reviews that mention people staring. I have been going for over 2 years and just experienced that at the new location about month ago. Í now use oxygen, I have portable tank. As my family and I were leaving, a couple, middle-aged, came in, they stared at me and my tank for my entire walk out. I have sense of humor, I had to bite my tongue but I should have just said yes, handicap people have to eat to. That was only time I experienced that issue, in regards to other comments, but I think burgers and some of appetizers are great. I will continue to go, I think some just like to complain, and who knows, maybe staff had bad day or maybe someone didn't show up for work, but I have never had issue with food or service. read more
