We found this place about a year ago and have been back a handful of times since. We have yet to have a bad experience and have enjoyed everything we have tried. Tonight, we tried the Bavarian pretzels with the beer cheese, which were ok, but like someone else had mentioned, the cheese was very different. It seemed like a whipped cream cheese but they said it was a white cheddar??? I had Holiday Sangria drink special which was very tasty and for my meal, I ordered the pork chop. The chop was a good portion and cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the chicken marsala and said it was very good and a good portion size. The place hasn't been very busy when we have been there, which is nice for us. But I have to wonder if it has something to do with its name. The first time I saw the place, I thought it was a biker bar or something until I looked it up online and saw the menu and realized it wasn't. Or maybe its never too busy because it's tucked away in a plaza. We plan to keep to keep visiting! read more

Enjoyed lunch with some business friends and we all agreed the food was great, the service was out standing! Our sever Cathy with a "C" took great care of us and explained the menu, the special(Monday burger special), and told us little about the place. Two of us had burgers and they were excellent, cooked as requested, the toppings and bun were fresh, fresh, fresh. The salads were also excellent. Have eaten here several times, was decent. Last night had 2 different fish meals. Terrible..maybe just caught from Springfield Lake ? Fried Fish looked and tasted like it was Microwaved.... Dinner on a Friday night. Seated right away. Ordered our drinks and told the bartender was really busy and it would be a while. We sat and watched the bartender chatting with the customers and drinking shots rather than making drinks! Ordered loaded potato balls and given sauerkraut balls. Rather than leave them and make it right they took them and we waited another 15 minutes for our appetizer. No plates given for a shared appetizer... seems inappropriate for covid times. Even less for the price you're paying here. The correct appetizer was ok, can't complain. Drinks were brought about 20 mins after we placed our order. Food ordered was a Reuben. It was a decent sandwich, nothing to rave about. Service was fine but not great. Second drink was a beer they said was a canned beer which was fine but we didn't expect them to literally Set the can on the table with no glass at a restaurant at this price point. For the $60 price I expect better food and more appropriate service. Probably won't return and suggest they speak with their bartender who shouldn't be drinking shots with the customers while working and the servers should not have to make excuses for her. read more

Service was okay. Food was sad and incredibly overpriced!!! Had the grouper -- cold and very salty! Barely edible. The Brussels sprouts were decent. Best part was Wedge Salad. Should have stuck with the salad only. Hubby had a mammoth steak with awful roasted potatoes. read more

First off the waitress was great. Everyone at my table enjoyed their meals. I unfortunately ordered a wedge salad that was awful. It was almost room temperature, all the toppings were just dumped in the bottom of the bowl and half a head of iceberg lettuce was just put on top. This place just can't get it together. They're food is so hit or miss as they can't seem to keep a decent menu. We've tried a dozen times, it's not possible to even have a decent beer unless all you like is nice bitter IPA or craft. They won't keep a consistent set of taps they're always on a rotation or some tap takeover of another craft beer. This would be an awesome place if they could get decent management to bills some stability in the menu and taps. It's just too manic. read more

Received nigh perfect service. Food absolutely excellent, atmosphere lovely, and above all our waitress Seema was the best server I believe we've ever had. Attentive, happy, easy to talk to, not afraid to take extra requests even during the pandemic. Wait times exceedingly low. We were seated the second we walked in and had our appetizers about two minutes after we ordered them and our entree about five minutes after we ordered them. I'm having the extreme displeasure of attending a banquet hosted by Iron Grill. They put us at three long tables in a very large room. The tables weren't big enough. We were so squeezed in that members of our party asked to be moved to one of the booths that line the room. When I sat down, the waitress immediately shoved a salad in my face. Apparently, whether you like it or not, Iron Grill serves your party exactly when you are supposed to be there, even if the party arrives late. The salad dressings were on plates in the middle of the table with no information about what they were. After everyone had moved to be more comfortable and I had figured out what dressing I wanted, the waitress came in and asked if anyone at the table needed drinks. Before I could reply, she walked to the opposite end of the table and has continued to ignore me since. I'd leave, but we already paid for not only the dinner but also the tip that the server doesn't deserve. I'd never come to this part of town to eat and I certainly won't ever return. Apparently, they gave a banquet of 50 people to one server who proceeded to bring the food out one at a time, calling out the orders despite our place names with orders on them. I went to the manager and politely told her the server needed help with refills, steak knives, etc. She was super condescending. When my steak arrived, medium rare means well done. It was inedible. I left. Maybe you can eat here as a small group but do not ever use them for larger groups as they are totally incompetent. read more

We had the ribeye steak and fish taco. The steak was so under cooked and difficult to chew I only ate 1/3 of it. This was the worst steak I was ever served. We could not eat the French fries because they were loaded with way too much salt. Even the soft drinks were disappointing. The fish taco was acceptable. I'm disappointed. The establishment was clean and decorated nice and they tried to have "upscale food" but it wasn't prepared well, at all. It seemed like they were trying to hard and really missed the mark. Our truffle fries were soggy and limp. The "beer cheese" for the soft pretzels was so thick and lumpy you had to spread it on. My family is not hard to please and when you pay $15+ for a chicken fingers and fry meal you expect it be be good. The waitress took the time to ask what we wanted on our burgers but when they came out they didn't have any condiments on them. They had to go the bottles from the back, and that took awhile. We had not been there in a while because food was not that great but we thought we would give it another try since their menu changed. We doordashed and our order was incorrect. The manager was condescending said we would not receive a credit for the food that they omitted(that we paid for) but we could come and pick it up. Whays the point in Doordash? Manager? is complaining about the bartenders to the owner? in front of us, while we are seated at the bar, very unpleasant. Bartender was very nice and hospitable. We were uncertain as a result and tried a couple of appetizers. The amount of food was a very good value, had Hummus which was a generous portion with plenty of vegetables and warm pita bread. The Truffle Parmesan Fries were also a generous portion but the fries were under-cooked, still on the raw side, and I can't say that I tasted any truffle oil. Wanted to upgrade my opinion by a star. Last dinner was very good and the Iron Grill is still one of the better restaurants in the area. I was surprised at the quality of the strip steak. It was cooked perfectly and had a great taste. We were told that they are now getting their steaks from Duma Meats in Mogadore, OH. Duma's is an excellent butcher that only deals in fresh meats. (need to do a review). I am happy to see a place that is really trying to be great. I have heard they are going to revamp the menu in the next couple of weeks. Wow, this place lived up to the expectation, ranked fifth best burger in Akron, i would rank it closer to number one, sat at the bar, get the burger with bacon and fries egg, you won't be disappointed. My husband and I went here for a date night because I had a coupon. We both ordered steaks. I got mashed potatoes and he got fries. My potatoes were cold, like they had just been scooped from the fridge and not heated up. They very quickly brought me more potatoes. A forgivable occurrence. Not impressed. My coworkers and I had lunch here to take advantage of the patio on a nice day. We ordered 4 salads and one flatbread, and we waited more than a half hour until our food was served. My salmon salad was on iceberg lettuce and had very little flavor. There is no atmosphere on the patio - it's very boring, I don't even remember that there was any music. Not sure what happened last night, but it was as if they just opened and the cook was new. My blackened grouper wasn't blackened; in fact there was barely any Grouper on my sandwich, The Hoagie wasn't toasted (actually semi soggy)and it had the hottest lemon pepper I have ever had. My mouth was on fire. It should have been called Cajun instead of Blackened. There were four of us and only 3 orders came out. Waited about 20 minutes for the 4th meal to show up. My husband had a Iron Philly and it was cold. Nice selection of beer however the first two we ordered, they were out of. It was busy but not any busier than any other restaurant on a Saturday night. I've tried it twice now, and I have to be honest. I have never been so disappointed in the food and PISS POOR service. On the second visit, my girlfriend and I only wanted drinks, so we sat at the bar. After 20 minutes without being helped we waved down the bartender who apologized and promised to be right with us. The reviews about this place honestly confuse me. Basically because I have never had a bad meal and Jill and Tessa (the bartenders we know - we always sit at the bar) are always very nice and provide really great service. I will say it gets pricey and the food could definitely come out faster, but that is OK in a place like this. This isn't fast food or Applebees, everything is homemade and fresh to order. I have only complained about the food once, and they corrected it IMMEDIATELY and even bought a drink for the mistake. This is GREAT place to watch sporting events or have a relaxed dinner. It surprises me that some of these experiences have been AWFUL, I hope the owner is fixing the problems and addressing the complaints, because we will be super sad if this place doesn't make it. read more
