3 crispy fried pickles, 3 succulent bacon-wrapped shrimp, 3 delectable beer-battered onion rings, and 2 tender chicken strips.

My wife and I took a trip down to Kansas City for Memorial Day weekend to spend time with family, including my wife's uncle and mother-in-law's brother. Saturday afternoon, we decided to slip away for some much-needed time together. After doing a little shopping, we stopped by Iron Horse Bar & Grill for appetizers and drinks, and it was a great experience. We ordered the Sampler Platter, which came with crispy fried pickles, bacon-wrapped shrimp, beer-battered onion rings, and chicken strips with dipping sauces. Everything was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. We also enjoyed orange and mango mimosas, which were delicious and refreshing. On top of the great food and drinks, our waitress was excellent -- extremely helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. The customer service really made the experience even better. If you are ever in Kansas City and need a good place to grab something to eat and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere, Iron Horse Bar & Grill is definitely worth checking out!

We came to celebrate a family birthday we had wonderful cocktails while we waited. Best mustang margarita ever! We were a large party and Esther was our server and did a great job making sure we all were happy. My mom was very impressed with the rustic onion soup served so hot and very hearty lots of caramelized onions I. The soup. Love the large portions the chicken and shrimp fajitas were seasoned well. It came out piping hot so good! I can't wait to eat the rest for lunch! We did eat a lot of our fried mushrooms they were not my favorite the breading on them was too thick for my taste but oh my the sauce is the best! Will go back any chance I get!

Probably my favorite place in Lee's Summit. They always have events going on and the staff is prompt and fun. I mostly come here to escape the hotel and work, the setting is relaxed. I've tried nearly everything on the menu and there's literally nothing I wouldn't order again.

    Onion rings. Wow!!!!

We went for an early dinner, had onion rings appetizer, Rueben sandwich with fries and fish n chips w truffle fries. The Reuben, classic, the fries and onion rings, fantastic! The fish n chips were ok, tastes were fine just flavors were not to my liking. I should have substituted sweet potato fries. Foods served hot and promptly, service was great, checked in multiple times without being intrusive. Overall great spot for food. Had plenty of leftovers for another meal.

Good food and atmosphere. I want to go back while they have live music next time. While the chicken sandwich was really good, I wasn't big on the truffle fries or onion rings. The service was good. We went for happy hour and got drinks and some onion rings. I had the breaded chicken sandwich with truffle fries. The truffle fries were irredeemable. I didn't like the rosemary truffle seasoning, and the frier oil needed to be replaced. The onion rings were a lot more batter than onion. Each one was the size of a donut. I had to drench it in sauce, The rings just tasted like grease the minute you take a bite without sauce. I probably wouldn't want to get this again. The breaded chicken sandwich was delicious. I would definitely come back for this chicken sandwich. It all tasted fresh and not too greasy. The Iron Horse IPA was okay, lacked any flavor notes other than "bar IPA"

I've been wanting to visit the holiday pop-up here and finally made time to do so. I made a reservation online, and when we arrived we still waited about 20 minutes. It was very busy and crowded. It looked like they were taking both walk ins and reservations. We were finally seated, and our waitress came over pretty quickly. She was friendly, but you could tell she was working hard. We ordered two Smokey Bacon BBQ Burgers with fries. I had truffle fries with mine while my son had regular fries. It took a while for the food to come out, but with how busy they were, that was expected. The food was okay. My burger had a heavy charcoal flavor, I'm assuming because they were trying to get it well done and there were a lot of onion straws on it. I also ordered a drink from the holiday menu, and it was decent. The decorations weren't impressive, and there weren't many photo ops once you were at your seat. The entrance, waiting area, and bar seemed to have the best decorations. Overall, not my favorite holiday pop-up, and I'll need to visit again when it's not the holiday season.

The service, food, drinks are 10 out of 10. Very nice place to hangout especially for their happy hour.

I've been here 1000 times before, and I come back cause this place just doesn't miss! I got the Hawaiian burger with sweet potato fries this go around and it was so good! I also take my parents to mothers and Father's Day brunch and it's always AMAZING!

Tried the Sunday brunch buffet. At around $25 per person it was ok. There was nothing stand out delicious, though there was a good variety. Some items were good, some items were not. The temperature of the food could definitely be improved as most dishes were only warm at best. They did have an attendant at the buffet which was nice as he was very attentive. It was good enough that we'd give it a second try, but won't rush back to do so.

Food was just okay. I ordered the appetizer sampler, my mom had the bacon burger which she said was a bit too charred , and the kids' salad portion was surprisingly large. Service was very slow . We had a 6:15 reservation and still waited about 20 extra minutes to be seated. The drinks were very good, though. We went for the Christmas pop-up and weren't too impressed overall.

I love the staff. They are very welcoming and friendly. This place is always decked out no matter what holiday . This place is family owned what I truly love most about it because when you support them here you are supporting a family dream . Depending on what day you visit there may be live music. Drinks are decently priced on a regular day. They also have $2 mimosas every day and the kitchen is open til midnight daily !

I went today for the first time for happy hour and I was seated in the bar area as soon as I arrived. My friend and I ordered the Chipotle chicken nachos for happy hour and they were piled high with toppings and the chips were fresh. I was unable to eat it all as it was a large serving but only $10. I ordered a happy hour well whiskey drink and it was an additional two dollars off since whiskey was $2 off on Wednesdays. I also ordered the Lunazul Hawaiian Blue Horse and that was a fruity and tropical drink. Our server was attentive and great. I would return.

Quiet open arrival, but as it quickly gained patrons, it was difficult with hearing aids to carry on a conversation. Old building, high ceilings - - LOTS of conversations. Eric - - our server, was very kind, patient and helped explain several of the questions we had regarding the menu. We APPRECIATED his attention to our large water carafe, filling it frequently. THANKS ERIC (with a C!!) Our food was nicely plated, temperature perfect and portions were VERY generous. The Classic Breakfast was my choice. Eggs cooked as directed, breakfast potatoes, one smallish, breakfast sausage in natural casing. A steak knife would have been helpful. I don't know the brand of bacon they serve, but it was FABULOUS! Thick sliced, prepared beautifully and mmmm, mmmm GOOD! The plate includes a Cheddar Biscuit. It is BIG and delicious LOOKING! I had to bring it, half of my potatoes and the sausage "to go". My husband ordered the Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit. He was not a fan of the less than tasty sausage. #DIL ordered a Chicken Biscuit - - she shared a bite of the chicken. Let's just say, I KNOW what I will be ordering NEXT time we go. Our grandson ordered his favorite Biscuits & Gravy. HUGE portions, suitable for a growing young man. We will be back! P.S. The Gilded Pear cocktail was delicious. The Key Lime Pie was exquisite. Lovely plating and scrumptious. I shared it with my husband PLUS we brought half of it home.

Most of my orders have been curbside pickup since it's right around the corner from my house, and the process has always been quick and seamless. Let me tell you about the Great Salmon Caper Sandwich. A soft, pillowy brioche bun, flaky grilled salmon, fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion, topped with a creamy, tangy aioli. It is quite literally one of the best salmon sandwiches I've ever had. When I say I'll never get sick of this sandwich, I mean it. It's a genuine 10/10 and one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The Cluckers are also excellent and come with an absurd amount of food. My only complaint is that the chicken pieces can sometimes be so large that the chicken-to-breading ratio feels a little off. Other than that, they're fantastic. The breading is seasoned perfectly, the chicken is juicy, and the price is extremely affordable for the portion size. The homemade honey mustard is also some of the best I've ever had and is easily my favorite dipping sauce on the menu. Wally's is one of those places that never disappoints. Fast service, affordable prices, generous portions, and consistently great food make it an easy recommendation.
