Legacy Grill in Lee's Summit pleasantly surprised me. I don't usually think of bars as kid-friendly spots, but this one absolutely works for families and they had plenty of good options on their kids menu. The food is cooked from scratch, which really shows in the quality. There's a great patio when the weather's nice, and their event space is perfect for large parties or gatherings if you want a more private setup. It's also a solid spot to watch a game with plenty of TVs and a lively but comfortable atmosphere. Whether you're grabbing a meal with your family, meeting friends to catch a game, or planning an event, Legacy Grill checks a lot of boxes. This is your average bar and I like how the inside is modern and open. We went on a Sunday night and there were two other tables but the service was so slow. It took over 45 minutes for our food to come out. My chicken tenders weren't good, they were too thick for what i prefer and the breading would slide off every time I took a bite. Stopped in today for dinner. Lots of tvs, football games everywhere. Great vibe. Got the smash burger and rings--both were great. Good beer selection. Server was friendly and kept everything filled. Good prices too. We'll be back. One warning--the dynamite sauce for the burger--SOOOOOO HOT! And I love hot food. Would skip this one! Bartender hadn't heard of a Cadillac Marguerita, so I turned him onto Grand Marnier liquer. It was perfect and their food delicious. I'm "vintage" from So. California, but I found me a new spot. Plenty of parking, very clean inside. Large party room downstairs. Good choice of beers. So hear is where it gets bad. They served us a green tea shot. We asked and they said two ingredients Jameson and peach schnapps. Where is the sour mix and lemon lime soda. Then I ordered poutine. Poutine is French fries cheese curds and brown gravy. They had truffle fries small amount of brisket meat and brisket ajou instead of gravy. This is not poutine. So if they treat other items on the menu like this then hard pass. read more

Are a quick lunch here on Saturday! My husband had the burger and gave it a 7/10. I had the Philly and give it a 9/10. We ordered Mac n cheese bites for an app and they were 15/10. He always got a boulevard wheat on tap and it was delicious. Two entrees, one app, and a beer was $50. The waitress we had was great and very attentive! This bar was formerly Tiff & Jays, where Jay expected a great deal of performance from his employees and it showed. Legacy Grill has basically taken Tiff & Jay's menu and slashed a lot of excellent offerings. The new owners appear to have replaced a great many of the staff. We visited to take in some pre-season football in a sports bar atmosphere. We were greatly disappointed when we found there was an abbreviated menu for Chiefs football. Wings could only be had boneless and with the mild buffalo flavor. We ordered chips and cheese and received a small bowl of cheese that was barely room temperature. About 30% of the chips were solid, the rest was smaller than most cereals. When we asked for the broken chips to be replaced, we were brought another basket . . . for a charge of $1.00. We tried the Sliders and they tasted great. Unfortunately, there was as much mayonnaise on the bread as meat. Our Server never smiled. She clearly did not want to be there. That set the tone for the experience. While we were there, we noticed several other patrons arrive, find out the game-time menu was abbreviated (an abbreviation of an already abbreviated menu), and they left immediately. We should have also left, but were hoping it would get better. We will not be patronizing the Legacy Grill in the future. read more

I was given two different reasons for them cancelling my basement reservation, so clearly someone wasn't truthful somewhere. I've heard of several people getting their parties cancelled as well, due to "double booking" (which is what I was told by the owner, but that's not what his coordinator told me). If only one person owns that role, then that one person needs some training or replaced. With only 8 days until my event at the time the owner called me, they refunded my deposit and I found a place with much better staff and we all had a great time! read more

I hate to leave a bad review, but perhaps this will help the new management as they strive to find success. We went in today to watch a game and get some food. I ordered a Stella, and was told they no longer have this beer as it isn't a big mover in this bar. I hated this, but fair enough. Then my daughter joined us and asked for a Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi. She was told they only had Coke Zero, which she doesn't like. OK. This sucks, but we will live with it. But then my Taco Salad arrived, and I had an unfortunate incident that I cannot overlook. Not just a hair, but a wad of hair in my salad. The kind of thing that grosses you out to a point that you cannot eat another bite, nor can anyone with you. There are some issues that need to be addressed, and I hope that they do, because we need good dining options in this part of town. read more

Got takeout. They said 25 minutes or so and it was ready in 25 minutes or so. I got there early to drink a beer while I waited. Service was fast and friendly. I got the chicken fried chicken. The breading was perfect not to light not to thick. Gravy was tasty. My mom got the Cubano and she really like it. It had a hint of spiciness but nothing over powering. read more

Service was horrible. We have tried this restaurant 3 times since it opened. We always try to be patient with new restaurants, but the service has not improved, and has only gotten worse. This last time we had it drink order taken almost immediately which was great. We were going to start with appetizers, but it took them about 50 min to come back to even ask what we wanted to order. They seemed to have plenty of staff because they were standing around laughing and talking . By this time we decided to just give us out bill for our drinks and we had to go somewhere else who had no problems taking out business. The first two times they gave us wrong food. No more. Never again find someplace different!!! We use to attend this bar under old ownership every football game. As a group of about 16 we always get together for games for drinks and food. We wanted to continue this and wanted to patronize this business under the new ownership. When we arrived we had a waitress we knew well and I ordered the same as always to be told they no longer had that they had changed a lot of hard liquor and changed the beer selection. So I finally found something on the list I would go with making my order on the rocks due to not liking any mixers. As we received the menu we were told that this is our only choice no regular menu item would be available. We were also informed that the kitchen would be closed at 9:00pm that would be right around half time. Neither of those things sounded good. At half time we decided to get our check and I looked at it I was charged $5.00 for ice. I asked about this and the waitress knew I would ask, she asked the new owner before she brought the check. She was told on the rocks I got more liquor. I always order on the rocks and have never been charged this any other place. I ordered 2 drinks so I guess I was lucky not to have $10.00 for ice. 1-1/2 ounce liquor is the same in a bathtub or in a glass with ice. Never again, good luck I do not think our group will be back. The food was just ok for what we got. That could be just be opinion or what I ordered but charging for ice on the rocks is not for me. read more

Bring back tiff and jays. The new ownership has led to them being closed for 2 weeks only for them to rip things off the walls, make grey signs and accomplish simply nothing. The tiff and jays pizza was gluten free and not an additional price for it being gluten free, but there is now an upcharge of $1.50. It's just sad in there now, used to be a fun, lively, happy and bright place to be and now it looks like an abandon bar. The service with Kanisha is never anything less than amazing, thankfully she hasn't left. Hopefully things turn around but it is not a place I want to go until it does. read more

Wanna experience how NOT to run a restaurant? Just step inside and you will know within seconds. The service is non-existent - we waited more than 20-minutes to get the attention of a waiter... and there were 6 grazing about upstairs. I counted. Mostly talking to each other and on their cells. The event room downstairs faired no better. We brought in 350-people to a life celebration necessitating two barkeeps. So you would think the manager would have provided some extra level of service or even concern over the food & beverage business we dropped at their doorstep without any marketing costs. At least fake it! Nope! Worse than upstairs. We were left to our own devices to figure out the A/V system; setup additional tables and chairs; and navigate the "sheety" sound system. The speaker system was so bad we lost half the audience's attention in the first 5-minutes. BUT... the manager was Johnny-on-the-Spot to hurry us all out downstairs one minute after the event's ending time - threatening us with additional late charges. Oh the food? Tasteless, brown, unimaginative, cold and late! Your time & appetite are valuable... don't waste them here! read more
