In searching for kid's meal deals we stumbled upon Iron John's as they offer a free pizza with every adult entree on Sundays. They did not disappoint! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's tucked away in the William's Center shopping center and nicely remodeled.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had a salad which was so fresh and loaded with veggies and tasty croutons. The pizzas are delicious and have so many options for toppings. The kids meal burger was huge and also very impressive. The only thing is that the register attendant did not take off the correct discounts for the 2 kids pizzas we order but she did take off 1. We figured it out on the way home so no biggie. I went for a Tucson Foodie member mixer and sample some of their pizzas, and everything was amazing. Love the chicken pesto pizza and the veggie one. The garlic knots were very good and have shaved Parmesan on top. I don't really drink beer so I cannot comment on that but the food was on point. The staff were super friendly and took care of us really well. I order take out for the family and forgot to take photos of that, the flight of pork belly was amazing, my hubby had a burger and said it was great too. read more

Met up with a friend for lunch at Iron John's and we had a good time. He got the great American burger with a west coast IPA and I ordered the Diablo burger and fountain drink. I appreciate that the price of the burger includes a side of fries, making the burger a great value. The staff was helpful in explaining the menu to us and giving their recommendations. We ordered our burgers medium and were expecting a little pink in the middle but they were cooked all the way through. The habanero aioli brought some good heat but wasn't overwhelming. I stopped in shortly after 8pm on a Thursday. The place was busy, but I found a stool by the bar and was promptly waited on. I had Hefeweizen. It's my favorite type of beer, but this one had a waxy aftertaste. The Blonde I had next was better, with a crispy, refreshing mouthfeel. I didn't order any food as I had a post-walk meal elsewhere, but the menu looked good and reasonably priced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only gripe is that no dogs are allowed on the premise. The food was decent, the beer was okay for the price, and the happy hour prices were a tightwad's dream! I mean, we had a whole pie, two beers, and we left a $6 tip . . . and the entire tab was still just $21.21. I am glad I went back to this place. Originally I went there with a bunch of friends a few months ago. Here you order at the counter and then find a table to enjoy your meal. My husband and I ordered takeout from here this past Sunday and had a pretty good experience. My only complaint is the discrepancy in their hours when looking at them online. When we were deciding if we wanted to order from, I saw on yelp, that they were open and began perusing the menu for my order. However, my husband opened it on Google and saw they were closed. This was confusing, I went to their website and did not easily find the times of open and close. I did see that they had three locations, however, it took a minute to figure out that it was their taproom that was actually closed. One thing I loved is that the website menu has pictures of all of the food options! My husband picked it up our order so I didn't get to see the inside or service. However, it was ready fairly quickly. We ordered the Tinga pizza, the pork belly appetizer and the monkey burger. The pizza was exceptional, and I love that there are such a variety of unique pizza choices. I cannot wait to try more pizzas ! The Tinga was exactly as described and pretty tasty. My husband loved his burger as well. I consider myself a french fry connoisseur and give theirs a 2.7/5. They had great flavor but lacked crunch which would've been nice, but it is a huge portion of fries though. The pork belly appetizer called "when pigs fly"had a nice presentation but was a little disappointing upon eating them. I love that they're three different flavors, and I know pork belly has a lot of fat, but I really found this difficult to eat with the abundance of fat and lack of meat. But maybe there's something I'm not aware of when it comes to eating pork belly? I was not the biggest fan of the dipping sauce either. They've really improved from last year! The burgers were well-flavored and come with shoestring fries. The drinks are self-service and there aren't a lot of tables. You order at the counter and they bring your food out. The order taking is friendly and welcoming (that hasn't changed!) The people serving food seem happy to be there. I only had the pizza once and thought it tasted ok but the toppings were extremely sparse. My first cheeseburger was bland and it took me a long time to go back, but I was wrong. I really enjoyed their new location! The pizza was sooo good and I've been thinking about it since I last went in October. They have cocktail pairings for the pizza which is unique! They didn't have the drink I wanted when I went and the bartender came over to share his vision and to make sure I would like the drink which I did! I stopped in with a friend after wine tasting next door at George's Wine Shop on my birthday and picked up my free birthday pizza to take home! I got the honey - agave, and it was delicious! Nice thin crust with large, thin pepperoni! My friend also ordered a prickly pear margarita, and we shared some fries. The fries were a huge portion, and were thin and crispy delicious! The fries seasoning is awesome. Great beer selection; their stout was very good. So I was the very first customer on the day of their grand opening. This is the newest IJ's location on Broadway Blvd in the space formerly occupied by Monkey Burger. The place is small but cozy, the menu is pizza forward with some apps and burgers as well. There's also salads, and a full bar dispensing cocktails and the 9 IJ's beers on tap. The beers are ok, nothing spectacular but good. Service was prompt and the BT was friendly. They were making pizzas for the staff to try and I was actually offered a slice of each of the three pies that were out. This pizza wasn't quite what I was expecting from the oven they're using, it's quite thin, but damn it was absolutely delicious! The crust has a great chew and flavor, there were three different sauces all were so good, the best bacon I have ever tasted was on one of the pies, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they use deli pepperoni, which were absolutely amazing! The lightning strike on a palm tree across the street was pretty impressive as well! I enjoyed my time there, and would definitely recommend the pizza. They have a small patio area as well which is nice with the cooling weather. Stop in for a beer or a cocktail and definitely try the pizza! Oh and the prices are quite reasonable! read more

Went back for a second visit to try the pizza. The pizza was good. It's a 13" so it's enough for two or today and tomorrow's lunch. The Sonoran fries are always a hit. I do miss the thicker fries. The shoestring are ok but not as good in this dish as a thicker cut. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat on the patio and it was cool and there was a slight rain falling. This was my 2nd time at IJB Co & I really wanted the experience to be better. I ordered a pizza for my son & it was charred pretty darn black. I get it's oven pizza & all, but then my Caesar salad sat ignored while my son ate, & when I finally got it, it was a huge portion & the flavor was good until I got more into it & discovered it was saturated in dressing. I've been waiting to try this out. This evening my daughter and gave them a try. I opted for the Diablo Burger and my daughter got the Monkey burger. Here are our thoughts: Diablo Burger 5/5 - Very good burger with just the right amount of heat/spice. A little messy, but very tasty. Monkey Burger 4/5 - Good burger just not up to Monkey burger standards Fries 3/5 - Nice flavor but limp and greasy. Diet Coke 0/5 - the mix was way off Coke Zero 0/5 - all foam Sprite 5/5 - tastes just like it is supposed to Dr Pepper 5/5 - tastes just like it is supposed to. The wait staff was friendly. Overall I would go back and get the Diablo burger, but I am interested in trying out their pizzas. read more

Iron John's Beer is always the best! Enjoyed their many varieties and flights. Very chill design inside with invitingly warm features. Staff were super friendly, always around and very attentive if you need anything. The burger I ordered was pretty awesome, but fried were cold (they took care of us once we mentioned it). I would not recommend the "When Pigs Fly" flight of pork belly as it was made (at this time)...breaded and deep fried is not the way to go (and it was cold...but I had maxed my complaints at that point, so I ate most of it, which reminded me of a dry pork chop). Pizza was a little "meh." *This was opening night, so I'm sure most of the food hiccups will get fixed. I was introduced to Iron John's by a good friend and he was right, the food was amazing and the beer was good. This little brewery has a chill atmosphere, good music, cold beer, mixed drinks, wine, tasty food and the staff is very good at what they do and yes I would recommend the pork belly (when pigs fly) very tasty and filling. their pizzas are a lot better than most places in Tucson. if I did have anything negative to say, it would be the lay out but that's not a big issue. what matters is that I think this place deserves a five star rating as an eatery. One other notable thing is the people, very diverse and some interesting conversations. they do have TVs if you want to catch a game but make no mistake, this is not a sports bar. So if you are traveling through, or even in the neighborhood , I would highly recommend IJs for lunch, dinner or just a drink to unwind. read more
