I stopped here while driving home from the beach and I must say we will certainly return. I had no idea this "restaurant " is inside of a mini mall. There's a barbershop, convenience store, and a few other businesses. We sat ourselves and were greeted by our server. She was gracious and friendly. She even gave some suggestions. Zero stars would never recommend! Small space located inside of the TA(Petro) truck stop. I noticed they had a sign with a deal stating it was a deal they had with steak. (That was a lie) they simple claimed they were advertising they had steak vs an actual special in which they listed a special price. They don't have a combo for the steak special you just have to order a regular steak meal. Most items are À la cart. You come in and seat yourself. Staff was busy complaining about the steak "special". My server actually was the same boy one with a bit of manners as she stated "please don't say that out loud things like that reflects my tips" and yes she was right about that. But let's get to the real part of this review. The food was nasty! Lacked flavor as wel as not cooked as asked. Clearly they did not clean their grill or even keep an area clean as you can see on the hash browns as well as the pancakes just flat out burnt with char on them. Yet to actually serve burnt pancakes is wild but even more to flip it over so I won't see that it's burnt is even wilder! As well as I asked for extra seasoning on my steak it basically had no seasoning. I almost had to send the whole plate back but in the mist of about to do so a woman cook(had locs) was boldly speaking about this is a truck stop not a real restaurant. Which was unpleasant yet unprofessional for a Job she chose to do. Just know based off this TA experience TA/PETRO will never get any money out of me via food. This was the worse meal I had all year honestly. The best thing I had on the plate was the eggs. I literally took my food and left it low-key went in the trash once I did leave. Management needs to review/retrain their staff of how customer service works. read more

My husband just stopped by to get a warm meal after being days on the road since he's a truck driver, they took forever to even take his drink order, to top it off they never brought him his meal, now I have to deal with a grumpy and hungry husband. They made him feel out of place because he's hispanic. they took and served white people way before him after he'd gotten there first. Those old ladies need to be in a nursing home if they're not fit to do their job, simple task as far as to treat everyone with respect no matter age, gender and race is no rocket science.... The breakfast was awesome the eggs were delicious and fluffy the omelette was meaty, great pancakes . The staff was very friendly and helpful the service was great the food was hot . The atmosphere was very nice. I will return and recommend to family and friends. read more

We live down the road and eat here every so often so I feel we can give a fair review. The food is always good and the servers are nice, however I would warn you that this is NOT a fast food place. You will wait at least 45 mins for your food. Day or night. Busy or slow. The average wait time is 45mins after you place your order but when we go we plan on being there at least 2 hours total. I've seen cold molasses move faster but tonight we met our limit. We waited an hour for two cheeseburgers while others that came in 30+ mins after us got their food. My steak was overcooked-I asked for medium well. We waited 30 minutes for her to come back but decided to pay and leave. This place is the most friendly establishment I have ever walked into. I live in Virginia, and caught a flat passing through Florence. I stopped here to collect myself and call for help, but before I could the manager called a local for assistance. Shame on me for not having at least a spare tire or a jack in my car. Luckily, these two men aided me in the entire process from locating a close used tire place, to actually changing the tire in their work close. They were a Godsend. On top of the beyond accommodating staff, the establishment was very clean and well-kept from the front foyer to the restrooms. I was very impressed and thankful for such a nice place with such great people. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know. read more

Absolutely unhealthy food! Can't go in and order some stir fried vegetable and a chicken breast or a salad without cheese or croutons! Everything so processed and battered and fried! Forget even trying to eat Paleo at this place!! If you have an intolerance to dairy or gluten forget this place! Service isn't great either! They did away with the salad bar where you can build your own the way you like and blamed it on COVID 19! Places like this just need to be revamped and there needs to be a healthy bias on the menu! I hope the management or owner reads this and acts on it!!!! This place used to be great but it's really gone down hill, you're no longer free to make healthy food choices because it's like they are saying eat it the way I serve it or go somewhere else! Awesome breakfast experience here. Just stopped for gas at connected Shell and food smelled so good we decided to eat. Perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs with nice runny yolk. Delicious corned beef hash. Really nice pancakes (just wish they had real butter). I saw other reviews that said it was a little slow to get food, we did wait a short while for our cooked to order food. There's a big buffet here and that's probably a big chunk of the business and may ordered food a little slow because of that. For southern diner food this place is 5 stars. read more

Great service and great food! We were surprised about that good it was as is located in a gas station.

Avoid at all costs. They had a hard time getting our orders right and when the food came out we had been sitting there for almost an hour and a half. I'm shocked to see this location off of I-95 is closed. It was open when I went in March of 07'. The steak wasn't the best I've ever tasted. It was actually pretty bland, but the fries were pretty good. The experience wasn't the best either. The waiter wasn't very friendly or attentive. This place had some pretty unique decor though in some parts of the restaurant. Overall it was an average experience, but still blah. Food and service could have been alot better. Perhaps thats why the restaurant closed down. read more

An amazing truck stop! We stopped for dinner and wow the buffet was awesome and the salad bar was fresh with tons of choices. Yummy broccoli and cheese soup too. Loved the food. Had liver and onions done perfectly with the largest baked potato, fresh salad bar with well blended ingredients and a tasty pepper pot soup that tasted like beef stew. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Right off 95 and a great place to stop on a long journey. read more
