Exactly the type of care you would want when dealing with a mechanical issue 800 miles from home. I had bought a 24 RG in a NW state and my maiden voyage was riding it home with a planned adventure route and my wife on the back. Pulling out of the hotel that morning it went into limp mode. I had to have it towed about an hour to get to Iron Steed. (Put my wife in an uber for an hour ride to the airport) They were able to get my bike in quickly, identified the issues, both explained and showed me exactly what they were looking at, fixed the issues and had me back on the road within a few hours. A shout out to Matt in service and their mechanic (forgot his name) but everyone in the dealership was awesome while I was waiting. They gave me a ride to a local business so I could grab a bite to eat. Others took time with me answering questions and showing me options for add on's. Do not take the California Motorcyclist Safety Program (CMSP) through Iron Steed unless you want to train on substandard equipment, which will fatigue the muscles in your left hand due to a poorly maintained clutch. If you do take this class, indicate immediately that you wish to use the 350cc bike, not the 500cc. Additionally, consider how your performance of skill will be rated on an arbitrary basis by the trainers, even after satisfactory performance on the training runs. In short, this is a poor introduction to the craft. Do not recommend. read more

I sold my 1999 FXST through the rider to rider. They charge $169 to inspect bike. We were told tires were over 5 years old and brake fluid was dirty. Also the said brake light switch was not working. It was, as I checked lights before I left $1492 for them to fix. It took them 8 days to do the work. When the guy that bought my bike showed up, he still waited 3 hours for them to finish. He was coming from 90 miles away. They didn't even take the motorcycle to test the brakes. The front brake was sticking and not working right on his way home. He could have been killed. Plus they tacked on a $1500 preparation fee to his bill. I am looking for another Harley. Not from Iron Steed Stealership. read more

Don't let them order any parts for you!! I bought my second bike from then and we going to have them add aux lights and bars to the bike purchase. They quoted me 3600.00 installed. I opted to have it done at a later date and when I got the work completed I had a 20% coupon. The service advisor upped the price to 4600.00 so with the coupon I now paid 3800.00. Most parts were even Harley accessories that they marked up. When I asked why, the advisor said that's the way they do it I even told them I got a quote from another Harley dealer that matched the original and still was told that's the way they do things there. I was even charged for the OEM wiring harness for the bars and I got the original bars back without any wiring, which tells me they they reused the harness and still changed me 600.00 for a complete harness that wasn't used. I also confirmed with the handlebar manufacturer that only harness extensions are needed. read more

I really didn't want to write this review. I happen to love my Harley, motorcycles and the biker community. This just had to get written. My wife and I were on our ride home from Sturgis, down to the last 100 miles or so and I get a low tire pressure warning. 3k miles without issue and I was like, crap why now. Pulled over, didn't see any issues so road over to a nearby gas station and added a bit of air. I figured, we were 10 min from Iron Steed, still had another 100 miles to go to get home, let's have them check it out and avoid any issues. Better safe then sorry. Road over, guy at the service counter was very friendly, said sure thing pull it around back and we will take a quick look. So I did that, they guy in the service bay asked me what was up and I gave him a quick rundown. He told me, we are all booked up, no time for this, it should be fine. I asked if a tech could take a quick look, would do wonders for my peace of mind. Nope, couldn't be bothered. I was tired, annoyed and just didn't need to deal with it. Got home safely, it was just a low tire after lots of miles. No nails or damage. So that's good. The service guy could have taken 10 min to have a look, check for leaks, it would have cost them nothing and earned a loyal customer. Instead, they couldn't be bothered. So the next time I need parts, service or another bike. I won't be bothered to visit Iron Steed. read more

These guys were really great as far as friendly, and out going, I came in thinking I wanted a 2024 Road Glide! After test ride I liked the Street Glide better, the Street Had an additional 2k rebate (sorta Kinda). I will admit this is kind of my fault but I was having a very good experience as far as these guys getting me extra money on my trade to cover down, and make the bike into a payment range I could afford. What I noticed when I got home and the excitement wore off, looking at the numbers on paper and processing, I pretty much paid full blown retail for the bike when all was said and done for a prior year model, the bike retails for 25,999 + 850 for the paint. They inflated the bike to 29k then worked it down into the 25 area so in reality at the end I still paid pretty much what the bike was worth with all the wiggling done! The people here are great all I will say is pay closer attention to the starting number they are throwing out, It appears that if you aren't paying close enough attention to the staring number you will pay retail or just slightly below it when all is said and done. read more

First of all I want to mention that I'm a frontline healthcare worker. I don't seek any special treatment but I'd respect reciprocated which I feel like didn't happen . With that being said..I bought a used motorcycle from this dealership thinking that it would be inspected and up to Harley standards as opposed to buying it from someone on the street. I was sorely mistaken! I asked my salesman to please clean the bike before they delivered it my house. The bike arrived dirty, still had bugs on the windshield and scratches on the tank which the salesman assured me would be taken care of prior to delivery. In addition to this, the bikes jiffy stand was bent! They didn't do any inspection of this bike whatsoever!!! Upon further review of my sales agreement, they charged me $899 for freight and delivery...ON A USED BIKE!!! Horrible business tactics, dishonest, and I felt like I got screwed. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who is looking to find a safe motorcycle as they obviously don't inspect their bikes for safety. Harley Davidson Vacaville refuses to diagnose my bike with milky oil that's covered under warranty. I tried explaining to the service manager that there is zero circumstance where a brand new bike should have milky oil, but they want me to pay 300$ for them to take a look and see. When the last time my bike went in for service, I had a problem with the oil. They're the only people to touch my bike. They refused to tell me what was wrong with my bike, even though they worked on it for over a week, taking it on multiple test rides, just to tell me nothing was wrong (but they fixed the problem I was having). You guys need to get it together and make this right. read more

Service dept. will rob your parts off your bike and replace them with crappy parts. I was getting ready to go on a trip and needed a service before hand, my reg mechanic was super swamped at the time so I decided to take it down to ironsteed. I brought in a bike for oil change and check up service, dropped it off for a few hrs. I had just replaced my kickstand spring 2 weeks prior to bringing it in. The guy called me that it was done and said they just needed to give it a rinse. When I showed up 45 min after it still wasn't out. I asked for it and was told it would be out shortly, so I walked around the store for quite a bit and did some shopping ,tried a few new items on that I decided to purchase from the clothing department, I spent maybe hour and a half shopping and looking at a few thing in the store, went back to the service dept thinking my bike would be outside and still wasn't, checked with the guy and was told they were rinsing it off, may I add now it's been 2 1/2 hours from when I got a call saying it was completed, plus the 3 hours of dropping it off. So I waited a little more knowing I was told it was being rinsed. Looked at some parts on display for about 30 min. Checked back and still wasn't out. At this point I was pissed. The guy said he was going to check on it and went to the back. He spent about 20-30 minutes back there before he finally showed up front with my bike. The bike was all wet, Pretty much he just squirted it with a water hose and had a detailed spray and started to wipe off some parts. He gave me my keys and just walked off with out saying anything, not even a thank you for bringing it in or a have a great day. At that point I new something was up. Once I got on my bike to take off I kicked up the kick stand and noticed it went up super slow, before I had brought it in it was super springy and went up quickly.meaning they switched my kick stand spring and gave me a crappy one. As long as they had it I wouldn't be surprised what else they swapped out, I'm waiting on my regular mechanic to give it a check up since he knows my bike really well and has records of everything on it to see what else they potentially might of swapped. Never Again will I bring in a bike for service or recommend anyone here. I sure will steer everyone I know away from the service dep. all the other folks have been nice people but never in my life will I do business with their service dept. SERVICE DEPT. ARE SCAMMERS. Terrible experience and feel ripped off. Brought my bike in for a front and rear tire change and left with a bike I can't ride. At the end of the tire change, the mechanic comes out with my speedometer cable in his hand a tells me it is broken. He proceeds to question and insist that this did not happen during the tire change (the end that plugs into the front tire was broken). After the service, the service manager agrees to take $25 off the service so I can order a new one and install myself - I was fine with this at the time as I have an older bike and it had to be aftermarket. I get to work the next day on my motorcycle and immediately noticed my rear caliper had no bolts in it! I called the service manager and was told the tech probably didn't torque check the bolts. Additionally when the speedometer cable came back up, I was told that this was broken before the visit and tech doesn't touch the cable during the tire change; this is false for those who don't know, it has to be unplugged. I was told he was going to order new caliper bolts and talk to his manager about reducing my service fee. After 48 hours of no response, I contacted the owner of the store. I explained to her my situation and she was going to investigate and follow up.... never heard back and its been over two weeks. The service manager nor the owner ever reached back out to me so I ended up ordering my own bolts and have chalked it up to a loss. I recommend that no one brings their motorcycle here as I had the most rudimentary maintenance performed and was left with an inoperable motorcycle and a headache...pure malpractice. read more

I successfully completed the riders academy today and I am ready to take the written test at dmv ! This class was amazing and my teacher John and on the range coach Jon were absolutely awesome.They both took the time to explain things to me that I didn't understand and didn't make me feel embarrassed or bad about not knowing what I didn't know (lol) like some instructors do. They were very patient and compassionate as well as straight forward in regards to constructive criticism . I never drove a stick shift vehicle before and was super worried about how I would do riding a motorcycle considering that fact but because of their coaching , I was able to successfully pass this class my first time. I learned so much about riding a motorcycle and I will be purchasing my own street bike , either a 500 or 750 very soon. I would recommend this course to everyone , and it is only $258. I will take the lessons that I learned with me for the rest of my life . I feel so accomplished but it is truly all thanks to them . I also met a very nice and helpful gentleman by the name of Austin, who will be helping me when I'm ready to buy my bike . I love Harley Davidson Vacaville and I will forever be grateful!! I purchased my bike there in 2008, 2009 Ultra, I really liked dealing with the sales person, he was a good guy. I think he's no longer there. I've had Harleys for 22 years and have never been totally happy with any of the Harley Dealers in our area period. These people are nice, but I live in another town and when I call they never answer the phone that's my biggest gripe. An update:September 2016 - I took my 2005 Road King in for wheels and clutch cable and it was by far the worst experience to date... a week job, at most, to order parts and get them installed took 3 weeks. The Service person was not helpful to me at all and when she was out of the office, nobody knows anything that she was doing with regards to my bike. Wheels showed up but she forgot the bearing, the Clutch cable was too long since I changed the handle bars and I asked if they could install a shorter, better fitting cable. When I picked up my bike 3 weeks +1 day later, the wheels had greasy hand marks all over them and the forks, crash bars, the clutch cable was still long, I complained and they rerouted the cable. I went back two weeks later to buy the same bike, And was told due to their inventory they couldn't give me the same deal... When we first walked in this afternoon we were immediately welcomed in by several guys at the door I believe they were salesmen ! My husband and I came here today to look at and purchase winter riding gloves ! You Didn't have his size which isn't uncommon because everyone seems to be out since covid hit !
