Recently bought some backcountry property up north and the factory suspension just couldn't cut it. I wanted 35s for the diff clearance and a 3 inch lift to clear the tires. I just bought some new 17 inch method m312s and other shops told me that with my 2018 f150 I needed bigger wheels and I needed a bigger lift to fit the tires and this and that. I go over to The Chop Shop and tell them what I'd like and they say no problem. The guys over here are first class and know their stuff. Shawn is an absolute fraud. I purchased a bed cover that ended up not only being faulty (allowed more than acceptable amounts of water into the bed and did not lock properly), but not what was agreed on upon order. I have attempted to communicate with Shawn to coordinate the return since two days after purchase. Shawn continued to make excuses and said he will not provide me a refund until he gets the money back from the vendor. Unacceptable business behavior as I purchased this item from The Chop Shop, not the vendor. Shawn has since ceased any communication and refused to accept the return. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. They claim they are veteran owned and operated, they are anything but. They are new owners and have drove this business into the ground. I came here because I was having a vibration after another shop put a lift on my LX470. I couldn't find time to make it back to that shop because it was out of the area. I stopped by here and the owner/manager agreed to look at my truck without an appointment. He took it on a test drive, came back, jacked it up, and inspected everything. He told me the CV axles weren't right and I needed to replace them. He said the inspection was free of charge and to let him know if I wanted them to get the work done. I bought OEM axles and did the work myself in my garage. I called and gave him the updat because the OEM stuff solved the problem. That is a prime example of customer service. I am so pleased with Shawn and the Chop Shop. I spent quite a bit of time researching shops to install a lift kit and new wheels and tires, and ultimately found the Chop Shop. It was well worth the drive from Sacramento. Shawn was very helpful in guiding me to the right lift kit and wheels/tires. He installed the BDS 4" lift kit with 35" tires and new wheels. I was a little concerned that my air suspension ride would change, but it actually rides better than before. The installation was done to perfection. He's one of the few authorized BDS suspension installers in Northern California. The price was surprisingly reasonable too. I plan to go back to the Chop Shop for additional customizations, starting with a behind the bumper winch and light bar. I wholeheartedly recommend this shop for your 4WD needs. read more

A little over a year ago I purchased 4 Rough Country shocks for 2019 Chevy Colorado, not only did it take a couple of months to get the right rear shocks but I just found out that they did not replace the rear shocks, OEM's are still in place. These guys have installed a few suspesion lift kits on 4runners in the past. The install went smooth and shorty after I when back with Arb lockers and an air kit. I just bought a brand new truck and wanted the full package (lift, tires, wheels, ect) I went to them knowing that they were veteran owned and willing to give a newer, small business a chance. When I got my quote from Josh everything seemed great, but I still wanted to shop around. I found another place that beat their price by $500 and they said that the chop shop was charging for more hours and charging double the labor price. I then had called and left a total of 3 messages to see what the deal was. Needless to say that One week later he has not returned my call.
