I would definitely use this service again. Charles (owner) did his best communicating with me responding to my initial yelp messages and following it via text. A crucial part of a great business is COMMUNICATION. I know it's not always easy making exact delivery times with just 2 people working the business, but Charles did his best communicating with me along the way until our actual meeting. He would let me know if he couldn't make a scheduled time, was running late, if he needed to reschedule, etc. Most important, he was sincere, honest, respectful of my time, even apologetic which shows he cares not just about making a living, but about the people he serves and that says alot. Charles had Jim pickup an old but still good working solid treadmill on a Saturday morning and even though it took 2 weeks to finally get picked up, for the price/service, the wait was worth it. I have been accumulating junk for the past 5 years mostly kid stuff that my kids would grow out of (car seats, tons of toys, a few train table, kid furniture ect...) I had started to make a pile in my back yard with the plans to have it removed. After a recent storm my pile blew into a total tornado and the storm also took out patio furniture and mangled it pretty bad. I called Charles on a Saturday afternoon, he was available the next morning - wow! We looked at my pile, agreed on a price, which seemed to me very reasonable. He set to work loading his truck, and I walked around, finding quite a bit more junk to haul off. My original pile had held more heavy stuff than he had seen, but he didn't complain. He also didn't gouge me on the extra stuff, which was also quite a bit, or the couch I decided at the last minute to haul off. He is a straight up guy, and has a great attitude. He treated me extremely fairly (I think I got the better end of our deal), and I would definitely call him again. Charles In Charge is so much more than just someone who hauls stuff you should have gotten rid of long before the in laws were due to arrive. We are possibly the least organized when it comes to finding all the stuff that needs to go. Charles was on time, patient, helpful in pointing out things that I was so used to seeing I didn't see them anymore - and they needed to go. THEN I had to run to get $$$ - while I was gone, he swept up my yard! I could have wept with joy - I was frustrated, hot, tired - and coming back to that extra help - with no extra charge, no need to even request - just seeing something a crazy tired lady could appreciate and just doing it ----- well, I am thinking of changing the will. I can only echo everything that has been said about Charles and his staff. I called him in the evening looking to have 20+ years of stuff cleaned out of my parents' garage (including 2 sofas and an air hockey table) the next morning before a 12:30pm flight. Charles informed me that he would be available at 9:00am. When I saw the size of the truck and the amount of stuff I needed to get rid of I was a little skeptical that A) It would all fit and B) They (2 men) would finish in time to leave for the airport by 11:00. Charles assured me that he would make it all fit and leave me plenty of time to get to the airport. The price he offered was more than fair, especially considering the quotes I had received from other local businesses.
