We needed a place to stay at the last minute and were able to get a room here. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. The room was very clean and the atmosphere was really fun. We were on the 5th floor and I loved the floor to ceiling slanted windows. The room was also very spacious and had plenty of places to put items. It would have made for a very comfortable place to stay for more than an overnight. There are also a lot of food options within walking distance and even more food and entertainment options within a short driving distance. read more

Upscale, modern hotel! Really interesting architecture! Hip corner, lots to do within the two adjoining parking lots during your stay. The rooms are metal and wood, much like the name infers. The rooms have a couple motion detection lights, that was nice. The mini fridge is stocked, personally, I'd prefer to have the open space for my own perishables: leftovers, water, etc. There are plenty of towels, a cool shower, excellent sheets and pillows, huge tv, robes and other fun decor and conveniences. Definitely luxury. Only a couple drawbacks, only one trash can in the room. No pool. No ice maker, you can get ice, but only from the front desk. It's fancy, but I'm a bit more practical. My husband surprised me with an overnight stay here for our wedding night this past Saturday. Our room was spectacular. We stayed in the Legacy suite and we were like kids in a candy store. Everything was hip, cool, and had this really neat 40s vibe. There was a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates waiting for us. Rose petals were on our bed. The shower was amazing. Had two shower heads, one from ceiling and one regular. Two massive tvs (that we didn't use) in our room, one facing a couch. We ordered our favorite ricotta donuts from Provision as room service. I cannot say enough great things about Ironworks Indy. From the rustic / steampunk vibes to the amazing rain shower, everything here was a great experience. Upon arrival, we parked the car and headed inside. Check in is on the second floor, there are elevators and a central staircase. The team at the front desk are very welcoming and explained all of the restaurant options and amenities. I wish we had more time to stay in Indy to experience all of the amenities because this hotel was very nice and well maintained. The room had ample space with a HUGE tv with all the modern apps. The ambiance in the room as well as the entire theme of the hotel was amazing. The rustic doors and exposed HVAC above was so neat. Let me tell you about this rain shower though. Probably the best shower experience I have ever had. I will be looking into renovating my home bathroom after experiencing this rain shower... it was THAT good. The weight of the water felt like a nice massage. I didn't want to leave Since we are on a long road trip, we ordered room service for breakfast from Rize before heading out for our next leg of the trip. We ordered the farm house eggs, a cinnamon roll, and yogurt with granola. Everything we had was top notch. The cinnamon roll was the size of my head and came with two sides of icing. Upon leaving, I asked for a small bag of ice to fill up my cooler. They brought me a good amount of ice directly to my room and in a fairly short amount of time too! Provisions not to be missed for dinner. Rize for breakfast. And the beer hall on the 1st floor is well equipped with all types of beers. I can't say enough good things. My family and I stayed at this hotel during my husband's work trip to Indianapolis. I was thoroughly blown away by the cleanliness and decor of the hotel. The design was so beautiful, with everything really fitting the theme. The bed was extremely comfortable and made for a great night's sleep! There was ample parking and service was always very friendly. They provided a pack and play for my child, which was very convenient. Their shower pressure was incredible, and probably one of the best showers I've had. There are numerous restaurants that walkable to the hotel. The only complaint I would have is that there's no microwave access, which was annoying for longer stays. But they did have a mini fridge filled with paid drinks (they removed the drinks for us) that you could use. Room service was excellent. Overall, I would totally stay here again! 5/5! read more

My friends surprised me with an overnight stay at Ironworks for my 30th birthday and it was the perfect choice of a place to celebrate: beautiful, quiet, and comfortable. Very nice hotel. The service was wonderful, right down to holding the door and getting the elevator for you wherever you are. The rooms were spacious and the high ceilings were nice. The theming is wonderful and carried right out to the parking lot. You don't get a view as it is in a basic commercial area but not a big deal. The only complaint we had was that there are outdoor speakers in the parking lot and you can hear them well into the night in your room. I'm not sure when they shut the music off but it seemed late. We didn't try the restaurants attached to the hotel but went to 3 of them in the shopping area it is part of. Sangiovese was delicious and quiet inside. Yolk was really good for brunch. And Daredevil was good for sitting and watching the March Madness games. You will have no shortage for restaurants and it's so close to so many more things, like the mall. Beautiful hotel. If you are staying in Indy I highly recommend this establishment. It's industrial look is gorgeous on the outside but even more so on the inside! Starting with the complimentary valet and staff holding the door as you enter and leave. The lobby is on the 2nd floor and you can take the stairs or the elevator. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was the king suite. Large shower with a rainforest shower head (amazing), stocked mini fridge, bottles of wine, glasses, opener should you wish to enjoy from the comfort of your room (at a charge). Even a variety of snacks (also a fee, but prices not much higher than a convenience store). Room service also available. Many amazing restaurants close by you can walk to or if you'd rather stay within the hotel they have 2 options. Provision which is a nice restaurant and open bar or Rize their breakfast/brunch restaurant. During covid they do require you wear a mask while out of your room, the stay is as well. They give little bottles of sanitizer as you check in and wipe down all electronics and light-switches, and handles which is greatly appreciated! read more

Check in started off as a wonderful experience with but abruptly ended with manager Terri who made it obvious that she didn't care. I booked 2 separate reservations 1 for 1 bed for 2 nights and 2 beds for 1 night. While attempting check out she shared that the double room was scheduled for checkout for the additional day. I provided my hotel confirmation to share that was incorrect. We waited 5-7 for the manager Terri to arrive. Terri decided to only address my best friend (whyte) vs me (black) to resolve the issue which gave the impression that people of color are not welcomed here AND nor is member experience a priority. When I communicated the issue she never acknowledged my issues, she reiterated that I was "upgraded" that I should be grateful. I frequent hotels around the city often and have been looking to booking with Ironworks for quite some time. I have never felt so disrespected and unheard in my life. Ironworks needs to do better at making ALL guests feel heard and welcomed. read more

I have never stayed in a hotel where there was as much attention to detail. I don't have all day, so... I will only list the exceptional features I found in the bathroom. First- this was not an upgraded room and I am guessing every room has the same amenities. Of course, there were all of the regular bathroom necessities, however, at Ironworks, they were a cut above. The soap was fancy, the towels were super plush, there was a nice blow-dryer, and everything was uber clean. But, there was more: There were two light switches- a dim one for night trips and a bright one for regular use, two shower heads- one was full and relaxing and a rain nozzle for an extra special shower experience, there were multiple outlets for charging and appliances, a really nice pull-out, swivel, lighted make-up mirror, a new digital scale (that I avoided like the plague) and the cherry-on-top was the frosted glass wall in the shower stall where an opaque showering person's silhouette could be seen from the main room- (if someone is modest, there is a blind that can be pulled down to obscure the bather), there was also an extra trendy trough drain on the shower floor. So, bottom line...I was pleasantly surprised and I wanted for nothing. The rest of the experience was equally as detail oriented. I would certainly stay here again. Thank you Ironworks! read more

I had an amazing stay at Ironworks Hotel a few weeks ago. I had been wanting to stay here for a while, but didn't really have a reason to justify the costs; however, it was my partner's birthday and I'm spending the summer studying for the bar, so a staycation made the most sense. Staying in the Founders' Suite was truly incredible. I have never stayed in anything like it. It was immaculately clean. It almost felt like we were the first people to ever stay in it. The attention to details were impeccable. Every time I explored I found something new I appreciated. For example, a TV electronically came out of a piece of furniture in the bedroom, and the shower drain is completely hidden. The suite has a terrace and you can connect your Bluetooth to the speakers. We sat out all night with the gas fire pit listening to music. The only thing that could make this place better would be city views, but honestly, the views weren't even disappointing when staying in a luxurious room like the one Ironworks has created. The wildest part? The mini bar was completely affordable. There was an amazing bar full of drinks and then an actual minibar with shooters and mixed drinks. We snacked and drank freely and didn't even use up our entire deposit (which was only $50?!). They also give you the option to have champagne set up in your room when you arrive. This upgrade was only $20. The rooms are expensive, especially if you come when there's a high demand, but they don't nickel and dime you during your stay and honestly, if you're like me, it'll be hard to leave. read more

Amazing Boutique Hotel in Indy! I highly recommend this establishment! I love the character upon entering from top to bottom! Several options for food, shopping, and night life if interested. I stayed here for 1 night for a self-care staycation and it was worth every penny. Guest services was extremely nice upon check-in. I took the elevator to my room, which was on the 5th floor. The halls were quiet and clean. I loved the character I was already seeing in the elevator and halls. I used my key card to enter my room and was greeted with the sun beaming in through the large windows! I love a room with full views that allow the sun to shine on in. My queen sized bed was super inviting. Awaiting there, on the bed, was a white robe- which is one of my favorite things when staying in a hotel! Something about a white robe that makes me feel luxurious! My room space included a full length mirror, a gorgeous leather bench- which I wanted to take home lol, a desk area with chair, and an additional chair with a side table. The closet included an iron, ironing board, safe, another white robe :) and shelving to place additional items. I had enough space to move around and not feel closed in. The mini bar had extremely reasonable pricing compared to the usual chain hotels. Frankly, I was super impressed by the options that were included. I ordered room service through the connecting restaurant, Provision. I was not disappointed. I had tortellini, sugar cream pie, and a wedge salad that was too die for! 5 star, I tell ya! Besides the windows, my other favorite part of this hotel stay was my bathroom! I didn't want to leave. Can we praise the rainfall shower head!? Whoa! Super amazing! I felt like I was in a spa. Water pressure was perfect! I loved the visual aesthetic of the bathroom as well, clean and luxurious. The towels were super plush! Toiletries were great as well! Do you remember the feeling of walking into IKEA for the first time? The sense of wonder and awe was overwhelming for me. That's what I experienced when I walked into Ironworks. The last time I visited our company's HQ in Indy, we all stayed at the Courtyard, and this was a significant upgrade... AND walking distance to the office! What a blessing. Immediately, I texted my fiancé and told him I knew exactly what I wanted our future house to look like. All my coworkers thought the hotel felt super masculine, but whatever. The rusty brick, iron, and leather aesthetic was cozy to me. All the furniture and décor was new. I heard that the hotel opened up in August or September of 2017, less than a year from when I visited. All the staff members I met were professional, especially the greeters and valet at the front door. The in-house and nearby restaurants were stellar. My room was super comfy. I didn't want to leave. What was weirdly most memorable was the lack of light needed in the bathroom when the bedroom shades were open. So energy efficient! Throughout the week, I kept trying to convince my boss to have more meetings at HQ... secretly so I could stay here again. It's such a great addition to Indy. There's even a second location in Beloit, WI. I hope they open more branches throughout the world, because that'll encourage me to travel to new destinations even more! read more

After winning a one-night stay-cation at the Ironworks Hotel during a recent Yelp event, I will admit I found myself wondering if I would ever use it considering I live no more than 15 minutes from this relatively new Northside Indy luxury boutique hotel. However, I couldn't resist the allure of a hotel that I kind of fell in love with during that Yelp event and also the opportunity to check out accessibility options that I'd heard about but weren't available to see during the Yelp event. So, I scheduled last night as my stay-cation as part of a 4-day weekend break. I contacted Ironworks via telephone to make a reservation for my gift certificate. The prize offered one night in a traditional hotel room, which is their lower end room. They offer 12 different accessible rooms and, if I understood correctly, the rooms offer a variety of options. As I'd toured a traditional room and realized that most of their rooms have a step-over into the showers, I made sure to emphasize my need for accessibility and to also emphasize I was in a wheelchair and would be staying alone. In other words, an accessible shower was a "need" and not a "want." I received a couple e-mail confirmations of my room. I arrived right at check-in time - 3pm. Check-in is on the 2nd floor with both stair and elevator options to access it. It's noteworthy that you cannot access guest rooms without a key card that also operates the elevator. Check-in went smoothly with a slight delay that wasn't really explained. I was assigned to Room 529 - on the 5th floor of the five-story hotel. The first floor is comprised largely of retail/restaurant space including a sushi joint, Rize, and Massage Heights. Parking is in a parking lot - it is free and there's plenty of ADA compliant spots. They do have complimentary valet parking for hotel guests, though I wouldn't subject anyone to my Kia! Room 529 was accessible. I quickly checked the bathroom and was pleased to see the roll-in shower and grab bars near the commode. The shower included a shower bench that fit with the hotel's decor. The shower includes both a rainforest and traditional hand-held shower head. I loved that they didn't compromise on luxury in making things accessible. The bed was a bit lower, a great thing for someone in a wheelchair, and the only thing I saw that might be questionable in terms of access would be the blinds for their large windows. The windows are amazing, but the blinds really required that I stretch to pull them down at night. Televisions are 60" or 70" and include pay, Netflix, and Amazon options. There's several smart features in the rooms and those smart options increase in their higher-end rooms. The penthouse rooms were shown to us during the Yelp event and they are stunning. Amenities include free hi-speed wireless internet, coffee service, parking, and business services. They have pet friendly options for a fee. Blue Sushi Sake Grill, Provision, and Rize are within the hotel. Sangiovese, Yolk, and Ruth's Chris are within walking distance across the parking lot. So, how was it? I debated my rating, quite honestly, between a 4 and a 5-star rating. 4.5 is probably most accurate as there are some service issues - mostly due to inattentiveness at times. The front desk is not particularly wheelchair friendly - it's high and my arrival took a couple minutes to be acknowledged. I had the same issue, and an even longer wait, when I checked out. On check-out, the person at the desk was looking at their smart phone - how about looking at the customer? Once she noticed me, she was incredibly friendly and attentive but that momentary inattentiveness is the difference between a "luxury boutique" and a Marriott. On the other hand, the evening crew on Sunday was absolutely stellar - top notch in every aspect. I like that they will deliver ice to your room - it's a minor touch, but nice considering once you arrive in your room you may not have cause to go to the 2nd floor again. It's a subtle reminder "we're luxury." Overall, I'd put service in the 4-4.5 range. It's good, maybe even very good, but could use a little tweaking. The accessible shower? It may be the best accessible shower I've experienced in a hotel. It's accessible without compromising luxury. It sends the message "We want your busy and WILL accommodate you." While a large power chair may struggle a bit in terms of spacing, it's easy to pull in and move over to the bench. They also added ingenious draining that prevents the bathroom floor from getting soaked. The rooms are very industrial in design, darker and more intimate with the exception of white bedding. The facility is remarkably quiet - you can occasionally hear distant noises, but it's not intrusive. They have stellar Guild & Pepper bath products. Service: 4-4.5; Atmosphere: 5; Accessibility; 5. If I could go 4.5, I probably would but even service concerns were minor glitches and this was top notch all the way. So, 5-star it is. read more

This place was gorgeous. I had a free night available via Hotels.com (their book 10 nights, get 1 night free at the average value of the previous 10 thing) and I needed a room in this area. So, I looked at location and price-I wanted the room that would come in as close to the value of the free night I had and to be in a specific area (I was in town visiting family). This place looked nice and the price was close enough that I felt like I would getting the full value of my saved up free night. Last statement on price: this seems like a great value for a boutique hotel. Granted, I stayed the weekend after Christmas, so I'm guessing during whatever their peak season is, it would be beyond my budget (I'm a full-time grad student, so for solo trips I tend to book value/budget rooms). Every staff member that I interacted with was friendly and helpful. From the valet that saw the puzzled look on my face when I walked in the door (I didn't see the elevators) to the front desk agents who checked me in/out, everyone was friendly and helpful. My priorities for hotel rooms are: comfy bed & pillows, nice shower, quiet, and ability to make the room dark. This place nailed it. Comfy bed, nice size room (mine had 2 queen beds), in room had a mini-booze fridge and snacks that could be charged to the room. The shower was the best hotel shower that I have ever experienced (I used to travel frequently for work...so this is a big compliment). It had one of those overhead waterfall heads on it yet instead of being a 90 degree angle small shower head, it was massive. I'm not a small guy (6'1" and about 210) so being able to be engulfed was pretty amazing. So, I loved the decor. My room had this pipe-framed bench with (probably faux) leather cushion that I took a couple of pictures of because I either want to build or buy one (picture added to the end of this). Truth be told, I got several ideas of ways that I can tweak how my apartment looks after staying here. The lobby had a really neat USA art piece (see photo at end of review). Location: this area seems to be bustling. I saw lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Even though there were these places in the building, I never heard them (on the third floor). It was convenient for me to get to where I needed to go. I highly doubt that I will ever visit Indy just for fun, but the next time I go to visit family, I will probably book a room here. read more

Beautiful unique boutique hotel. One of the things I love most about this place is the smell! I know that sounds weird, but they have Air fresheners spraying a wonderful scent throughout the lobby and in the hallways every couple of minutes. It's hard to describe, but you will notice it as soon as you walk in to the hotel lobby. The rooms themselves are beautifully decorated, very clean, and spacious. The shower stall is quite unique, the glass side is visible in the room. Makes for some very interesting and "sexy" times for you and your partner! Ha ha!Stayed here on New Year's eve. It would've been great if the in-house restaurant had some type of New Year's Eve party countdown. Although I understand the staff needed to get back to their families and have their personal lives too. Overall, I would not let that negatively influence my decision to come back. We had stumbled on the Ironworks in Beloit and loved it, so when we heard one was opening closer to us, we had to get over here. Took awhile, but we made it. And it is awesome. Same feel, inside and out- industrial but classy. Beautiful lobby, and every common area has old-time decor. Comfy couches, other nice little touches. Service was very good, from valets and clerks, etc. The room was beautiful. Leather, metal, and wood. Huge TV, comfy bed, comfy couch that folded out into a not-so-comfy sleeper. Plush towels, awesome bathroom fittings. Cool glass shower with one frosted side, and a rain shower nozzle if you wanted it. Very very nice. Nice view. Not as nice as Beloit's, on the river, but still pleasant. On-site restaurants and bars, a small workout room, etc. It was an extravagance for us, but really worth it. So much more enjoyable than a typical chain hotel, even an upscale one. Very dog-friendly, with bowls and treats in the room and water bowls in the lobby. Why not 5 stars? A few drawbacks. No exhaust fan or sound insulation in the bathroom, so everyone knows what you're doing. The place is luxurious and romantic, and that takes away from those sensations... The lumpy foldout bed was no fun. But, those are never the best mattresses, so this is for an emergency. No microwave. There's plenty of room for one, and how are you gonna reheat your leftovers from the great restaurants downstairs? And the mini-fridge is stocked with stuff they want you to buy, so there's not much room for your own drinks. The wifi sucked. Free wifi is almost an essential in modern hotels, and it has to work. Our devices connected, but were never usable because it was so slow. I checked at various times of the day, and asked at the desk twice, and they were like "whatever, lots of people using it." Well, then upgrade the system. At that point I would have paid extra for a usable wifi service. Very disappointing, since our tablets are wifi-only. But, we still had a great stay. We'll be back, and someday go back to the one in Beloit, and hope they open more locations. read more

OMG this hotel is amazing! My girlfriend and I wanted to plan a luxurious weekend as a staycation so we planned to stay at Ironworks for one night. It is the epitome of luxury. As you walk in, you are welcomed by a greeter and directed to the 2nd floor registration. The check-in was smooth and the clerk was very informative and friendly. The decor is so chic, industrial, clean, and relaxing. Our hotel room was on the 5th floor with a view of some trees and a parking lot. The room was decorated very similarly to rest of hotel-industrial chic. The bed was so comfortable as were the other seating available. There was a mini fridge and snacks to order however we brought our own champagne and snacks to enjoy. The T.V. Had a full list of channels and also the option to watch Netflix. The bathroom was clean, spacious, and the rain shower is to die for-I didn't want to get out. There are lots of options of food in the area and you can do room service which we did for breakfast. On your way out of hotel there is a photo booth that we just had to do! I honestly cannot wait to come back or try Bottleworks for a luxury hotel stay! read more

I asked what the scent was and it is a unique scent created just for ironworks. Everyone we encountered at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Definitely a treat to stay here. Great hip hotel that's dog friendly $20 fee. Lobby greets dogs with water bowls and biscuits. Stayed in two queen beds with leather comfy pullout sofa. Modern finishes. There is a pull down privacy screen for shower. Someone had said there wasn't privacy, but they must of not seen screen. Huge windows, high ceilings and rustic finishes make this a destination hotel 4 star rating. High quality food within walking distance. We had Italian food, delicious. There were other choices sushi, burgers and a breakfast place too. Lots of parking for our trailer. Staff friendly and helpful. This is the place to stay in Indianapolis. Nice beds and space to relax after long day on road. Only hotel I'd stay at when passing through here. read more
