Please don't go here unless you're ready to be spam called and overcharged. Horrible experience here, such a headache getting refunded an illegal surcharge to my debit card. Also if you only give a debit card they have a policy where the next visit you have to pay a refundable $210 deposit to secure a second visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had I known this before I would have never booked the first appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They say they will refund once insurance pays but considering how difficult it was to refund the illegal surcharge to my debit it would probably be a nightmare to deal with. Would not recommend dealing with this headache of a place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I don't know who is leaving these 5 star reviews because even when I came into the office for my one time visit there was another patient who also was complaining about their debit card policies to me as we were waiting and how they give them issues every time they visit and how they never intend to come back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you've gone here please double check your bank statements to ensure no credit surcharges were charged to your debit cards as both mine and my husband's had been. It is illegal to charge a credit card surcharge to a debit card so please be careful and aware. read more

Too many red flags. Started when making a reservation for a routine skin cancer screening-being asked if I wanted to book in person or virtual. Not really sure how a virtual screening would work.... At check-in advised that office policy required a credit card on file (never heard of that one before, but whatever). One biopsy performed, it showed positive for a basal cell carcinoma, but (office policy again), required a $400 "deposit" which would be returned when insurance proceeds received. Sounds very much like a business with serious cash flow issues. I will be seeking a second opinion read more

July 26, 2024 was my first appointment at Irvine Dermatology with Dr. Marjon Vatanchi. I was very happy they were able to squeeze me in since my first contact with them was the day prior in the late afternoon. I left a voicemail and then a message on their website, and was impressed that they were very good with follow-up and a quick response back. I simply googled dermatologists in Irvine and immediately noticed their 4.9 rating. The doctor's office is pleasant and clean, and the staff is personable, patient and professional. Dr. Marjon was able to help me right away. She was kind, professional, and very considerate of my situation. It's always very comforting to find a great doctor. I was happy with my positive experience on my first visit. Then, on 9/17/2024 I had a telemedicine appointment with Dr. Marjon. The nurse, Diva, had great follow up and was professional and patient with me over the phone to get me linked properly for the appointment - it's like a FaceTime/video call. I am not tech savvy at all :)) Diva is a gem, so helpful! Dr. Marjon is a great find. I learned a couple things during the appointment - I've had a lot of doctors (moved 9 times in the last 33 years). She is caring, understanding and professional. I just had to follow up on my review from last year. This practice is a delight in every way. The front desk personnel are always cheerful and accommodating, I've never had to wait, and everything is immaculate and calming. Dr. Vatanchi is thorough and knowledgeable and her skin is gorgeous! It's a comfort to know she is a surgeon so anything that shows up can be taken care of. I come here for routine checks but would trust her with anything skin-related. And right next to Hoag so very convenient. Get your skin checked, these folks make it so easy and the atmosphere is relaxed and supportive. I will be back! read more

I had very high hopes coming here based off the great reviews. Sadly I left feeling not the best. The office and staff are nice however I feel like the care I received was underwhelming. The skin check that I came for was very quick and not at all as thorough as I've had in the past. I thought skin checks were supposed to be thorough- checking behind the ears, on the scalp, between fingers and toes.. etc. Now I will pay another office to get checked again because I take this seriously due to my risk factors. Additionally, I brought up some acne and rosacea concerns and once again felt like the conversation was underwhelming and left feeling blah. I felt a little rushed and misunderstood. I'm honestly sad because I was so excited for this appointment and took time off work for it :( I'm glad others had a good experience here. Guess I just wasn't one of the lucky ones. read more

I suffered from eczema since 2020. Eczema developed all over, from arms to legs, from neck to the whole body. The brown marks are everywhere. I couldn't sleep well at night because of the itching. The suffering was finally cured by Dr. Marjon Vatanchi. In December I found her on Yelp. At the first visit she prescribed an injection and my eczema started to retreat after the first injection. And after the fourth one, I can sleep overnight with no scratches. I greatly appreciate her treatment. She is very patient and kind. Because I didn't have any experience in injection on the belly.
