Been going to this place for years and now need to find a new place. I ended up having to go in 4 different times within 10 days of getting this set as the nails were popping off. Finally had them stay on for two weeks only to come in For a fill and discover I've developed greenies due to lifting and water being trapped under my nails. I decided to just take my nails off and do a gel polish only for her to say I need to leave them off for two months to allow my nails to grow out full due to "nail damage" mind you, I had my nails off from June to august and the initial set I had put on was right after my break! Anyways. Paid $50 for this manicure and will be the last $ I spend here. read more

I recently moved back to the area and decided to return to my usual nail salon. I made an appointment for a removal and new Gel-X set and specifically mentioned that I wanted a design. I was assured it wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the outcome. I asked for coffin-shaped nails, but they turned out much more rounded than coffin. I also asked for a leopard French tip on my ring fingers. Instead, black polish was applied in what looked like polka dots. When I explained that wasn't what I wanted, I eventually just asked for a black French tip. During the service, my nail tech also cut my skin, and I actually left the salon holding a napkin against my finger to keep pressure on it because it was bleeding. The biggest issue was the quality. Two days later, one nail literally fell off like a press-on. It didn't break -- it completely lifted off. I then noticed THREE other nails were already lifting. I called the salon the next morning and was told they could fix it. Another technician fixed the nail that had fallen off and said she could fix the others, but it would require a completely new set and I would need to pay for it. At that point, I decided to cut my losses. I had just paid for a new set two days earlier, and I'm not in a position to pay for another one because the original set didn't hold up. My nails normally last me a month or longer, and getting them done is something I consider a treat for myself. Gel-X is expensive, so I expect them to last. I was also disappointed with Vivian, the original nail tech, who seemed very impatient when I tried to explain that the shape and design weren't what I had asked for. I loved my experience at Dylan Blue Nail Spa! I made an appointment for my mom and I only 30 minutes in advance and they were more than accommodating. We arrived on time and they were ready for us. They have a large selection of polish colors to choose from and even have some really cool options like cat eye (magnetic designs). If you go in for a manicure I highly suggest requesting Jayden! He was incredible! I felt like he really cared about me, my nails, and my experience. I showed him a photo of what I wanted and he delivered better than I imagined! He preserved my natural nails for the most part- only adding nail tips to finger nails that had broken right before coming in. I am so happy with the result. I originally went in for a pedicure, but asked to add a classic manicure while there. The salon is clean and the atmosphere is nice. I was greeted by name when I arrived and check in. I've always had a nice experience with their pedicures. The pedicurist was friendly and efficient. I was happy with the results. My issue is with the manicure. The manicurist seemed to be in a rush even though the place wasn't busy. If they didn't have someone who could give me a quality manicurist available, I wish they would have told me. She was rough filing my nails and clipping my nails. A few of my fingers are red and sore. I asked for a clear polish. I didn't realize a clear polish is only one coat of top polish. My nails didn't even look smooth, possibly due to the filing. I looked at them puzzled. She asked if it was okay. I said it didn't even look smooth, so she added another coat of top coat. It took her less than 20 mins to do my pedicure. I will not be going back, even thought I liked the pedicure and enjoyed past pedicures there. read more

I'll try to make this short. I made appointment for four family members and me and my mom were getting our nails done as well as a pedicure. Everyone in there was as pleasant as a peach until my nail girl showed up named Ivy. She was unpleasant to say the least. I'm not really sure what happened because all she would say is that she she's not working like this, she complained about her working environment, she stormed into our little area, then stormed out, then stormed in then stormed out, then told me she couldn't work like this because it wasn't enough room and I told her go talk to the manager not me. I really don't know what to tell you. At that point the receptionist came back to me in front of everybody and said that Ivy does not want to do your nails and now you can't get your nails done until 115 because I don't have anybody else. I'm going on a business trip. I drove over 40 minutes to get there. I set up four of my family members to get services there and now I'm not getting my nails done because of Ivy with no explanation of why she doesn't want to do my nails. And then to blame me. And then to not even have the receptionist have my back she had Ivy's back. She needed to listen to both sides of the story. I don't have a story. I just came in to get my nails done. I contacted the owner. She didn't even bother to call me back. I have to say that all of our services that we were getting were very nice and the girls were very nice. But there's no support for the client and why would you ever want to have somebody like Ivy do your nails. You come in there for a wonderful service and you have nothing but grief from a manicurist. Nasty people should not be in customer service especially not in a spa. They have two salons, one in Tustin and one in Costa Mesa. read more

I wanted to try out this location, and it went great :) My first time coming here, my first impression was clean, and positive energy from the staff/nail technicians! They have the nail color sections and you can take a look by yourself without pressure. I planned to get a medium almond gel X, they didn't have specifically this one but my technician Anna, reshaped and managed the length nicely. Anna was very detailed with my design and constantly asked me if i liked how it looked to make sure. I really loved this about her. Thank you Anna! Omg so to start very pretty place but don't let that deceive you ! I never ever ever write reviews but the customers service that was provided was horrible for my pedicure. I could tell the lady what I wanted without her yelling at me . I mentioned the shape and grabbed my feet so bad and yelled at me in front of other customers. She then started talking in her language which made me feel even more uncomfortable she didn't want to shape my nails how I wanted them and then on top of that she was putting my feet in the UV light aggressively while giving me the meanest look shaking her head. I wanted to cry because what is supposed to be a pampering experience definitely was an intense experience. I did my nails as well and the shape just isn't it at that point based on my pedicure experience I was already dealing with I accepted that I wasn't walking out with what I wanted given that it was just a simple pedicure and manicure being $130 for badly shaped and horrible customer service is so sad. DON'T be fooled by the decor, Dylan Blue Nail Spa does NOT care for customers and does NOT provide a quality service whatsoever-- you are merely seen as a cash grab. I had been going to this salon for YEARS. Since they first opened the store, and I am baffled at how I was treated today. I had made an appointment over the phone, as I always had done, and their employee told me the only time they could take me in was 3:30 pm, so I cleared my schedule to come at that time. As shown in the images provided, I was even sent a CONFIRMATION TEXT saying 3:30 pm. Now, 10 minutes before my appointment I receive a call saying that my appointment was at 3:10 pm and they can no longer take my mother and I because they are "too busy". What is the point of even making an appointment if you're going to do this to your customers?? Especially after all of these years coming here. I was told that I would have to wait until 5 pm-- to which I said no, and the employee said then I would have to wait 45 minutes, and they can take my mom now?! Why are you lying to me continuously. All you care about is moneyyyyyy!!! The employee was NOT respectful whatsoever, and kept telling me that it was "because of their system problem", which is not true because I got a confirmation saying 3:30 pm... On top of this, every time I come here, they make your hands BLEED, ruin your cuticles, and charge ABSURDLY HIGH PRICES for the most basic sets. I was charged $90 for just a Gel X set with chrome. I will NEVER be coming back here after how I was treated today, and recommend nobody else to go to this salon. Local nail artists do a much better job, for a fraction of the price, and actually value your time and money as a customer. I've been a visitor at Dylan Blue Nail Spa for a few years. Today, my young teen daughters and I visited the salon. I originally made an appointment for 3 regular pedicures, 1 regular mani, and 2 acrylic nails. The salon wasn't able to seat us all together, which was fine. After I finished my service (regular mani/pedi), I had to leave to run an errand while my daughters finished their appointment. When my husband came to pick up my girls and pay their bill, he shared the total with me, and I was absolutely dumbfounded. There were 5-6 significant upcharges that the salon had applied (e.g., they upgraded the pedicure, charged extra for a "cuticle trim", charged an exorbitant extra for a nail design, charged another extra that I didn't even understand what it was for, etc.). I called the salon to question the total charge. They provided a weak explanation as to how they arrived at the total. My issue is that they never informed the customer that services would cost extra, and it seems that they took advantage of the fact that their clients were young and sitting without a parent in order to add service upon service to rack up the total. The salon did offer me a small credit to my account when I requested a refund for some of the upcharges. However, I'm disgusted by the technicians taking advantage of my daughter's inexperience as customers. My daughters didn't understand the technician's English and were unaware that they were being offered "extras" at an extra charge. It feels like sneaky business practices, and I won't be frequenting this business again, so the credit is useless to me. --- To respond to the owner's response: It's false that the technicians informed my girls of the additional charge. The owner even admitted in my follow-up phone call with her that the nail technician didn't verify an upcharge with one of my daughters. The technician assumed that because one girl got the upcharge, then the other would want the similar upcharge. It's also not true that all of the upcharges were explained in our phone call. Only some of them could be explained. It's false that the nails were worked on for "nearly 2 hours". The appointment lasted 1hr, 20min from start to finish, which I know precisely because there's a time stamp on the text exchange with my girls. The acrylic nails in the photo cost $70. I'm not sure what the design upcharge was for since there's no design...?! I'm not a happy and satisfied customer, not by a long shot. read more

I love this nail salon so much; the techs are great, the atmosphere is relaxing, and it's always spotless. That being said, I do think there could be more attention paid to detail. I love my nail tech so I won't be specifying names but I got my nails done last night and felt like they could've been cleaner. The edges are a little messy, each tip is a different shade due to the thickness of the coat, and the clean-up job on the French tips is subpar (shown in photos). I did bring things to her attention as she did them but noticed these flaws when I got home. I was recommended to this place by a friend, even though I've been loyal to the same nail salon for the past 5 years. I decided to try something new and I don't regret it AT ALL. From the moment I booked my appointment the ladies there treated me with such patience and kindness. I called an hour before and they were able to squeeze me in with the sweetest lady Lan! They have a wide variety of colors and are very attentive to cuticle care. The nails I wanted turned out exactly how I expected. Clean, glossy, and classic.
