All the guys here made my dreams come true! I've got a long list of things I've had these guys do for me. I've purchase two diamonds from them. They showed me two beautiful diamonds I had to have. One for a necklace I've always wanted (and at more than half the price of what it is at a luxury retailer!) and one for my mom. My mom's main stone on her wedding ring had long been lost. I wanted to surprise with a replacement diamond a little bit bigger than what she had had originally. They did a beautiful job on it for a fare price. They fixed the prongs to insure the diamond wouldn't budge and refinished the ring making it look brand new. They also made two pieces of jewelry for me from an old cross necklace I never wore. The diamond were beautiful on it, so I had it made into a 7 diamond white gold band and a necklace. Top notch work worth every penny. The cherry on top is Keith. He is a delight to work with. If you're looking for repair services, this place seems to be decent according to other reviews. BUT, if you're looking to sell anything of value DO NOT GO HERE!! Either they are actual crooks, or they are just too oblivious to know quality even when it slaps them in the face. Brought in a luxurious name brand jewelry to see what they're willing to offer for it. It retails for over $4K and will sell for at least $3K in the used market. The guy took a look at it and said it's only worth as scrap gold and offered me $150. LMFAO. Immediately I knew this place is a joke. They don't bother to do research on anything they buy, as they will just simply tell you that your valuable is trash, and they're doing you a favor to take it off your hands. I just came by for a watch battery replacement for a ladies Bulova watch, but learned about a few other services they offered. Service was super friendly, and the watch battery replacement was done quickly while I waited (literally waited just a couple minutes on a Saturday morning) and my watch was undamaged and working again! Yay! Also note that at the time of this review they did have a yelp offer for free watch battery replacement, which Anton honored without question. Second, I do have some old jewelry I inherited from my parents and I learned that they can also buy your old jewelry. Third, I also asked about a custom wedding band, which I'm searching for since I'd lost mine last summer, and while I'll need to send in pictures, that's also a service that's offered. I was going to hold on to them until I got home, but I decided to check with a few different places throughout OC and LA area and got a number of different quotes but the one from Irvine Gold Mine was the highest. So I drove over, gave the guy my coins, mentioned how many I had, he confirmed the price he'd told me on the phone. All good so far... but then it turned out I actually had more quarters than I thought! So major props to him for having the integrity to pay me out for more than what I thought I had even when they didn't have to. After all is said and done I didn't even pursue either options as I first inquired about, but as a prospective consumer, I hope my experience can help educate someone else who may have been in my similar situation. I admit, I didn't fully understand the formalities of a loan against jewelry items. I thought I had mentioned a nominal number for a specific 30-day loan as you stood there briefly with a quick phone call to my guy where I asked overtly, how much would you want this loan? With that, his response and I relayed to you. Considering the high sentimental value of my possession, repayment would have been mandatory. I'm sorry that that was not clarified. I approached this venture to acquire immediate funds with the perception I would get as much as I reasonably could for the value because I was under the impression if for some bizarre reason the debt couldn't be repaid that you as the jeweler would then acquire my item at the cheapest price offer I was initially given. In that fearful anticipation, yes, I had a targeted amount I would loan against my assets. Being I stated 30-day loan and as much as I could get for it, I assumed you knew I could repay whatever the loan amount could be. I am rewinding the sequence of events and trying to recall my visit better: I'm sorry I didn't more clearly state I needed a number specifically, but I do know I said I needed it for a 30-day loan and as much as possible. If it was too much for me to repay within my deadline then that would have been my discretion to not commit to the terms of the loan, not your decision to assess a lower value and my perception as a customer is that you may anticipate my not repaying and having the item to resell for an exponentially greater profit. I had even asked what the interest would be over the phone and again it was a ballpark percentage given as she couldn't tell me the exact interest until the loan was given, that estimate also was higher (actually doubled) to what I was offered at another location. Again, it is something I looked into somewhat blindly and maybe in the future if someone like myself does not know the tools and questions to ask, to discuss the possible routes to benefit the loan/pawn/resell of customers like myself in a sensitive manner. Perhaps you hadn't because of not wanting to pry. I can consider that. I merely compared from your establishment to the other and in doing so I made a decision more confidently than emotionally. Mike inspected my ring and then took it to the back to clean it, there is a glass window so we could see how they clean it. My ring came back shiny and beautiful.
