Our mother passed away earlier this year, and so my sister and I have the unfortunate job of disposing of her possessions, which included some expensive jewelry, sterling silver utensils and serving ware, some old coins, etc. None of us wanted most of these things and so we spoke with jewelry stores, estate sale people, etc. to get estimates of value and what the items could sell for. The folks at The Gold Mine were not even comparable to anyone else we talked to. They are extremely knowledgeable and have experts on staff in things like coins, currency and gems. They were all kind, professional and best of all, the prices they paid blew everyone else away. I feel that they were the only place which made us a fair offer for our mom's valuables. (Other places clearly had far less knowledge and experience.) I came away with 5e belief that these folks are honest and fair. Of course, if you have the time to try to find individual buyers for your items, you might get a little more money - when buying things, they have to be able to make a profit when they resell them - but the folks at The Gold Mine made it so easy. I would absolutely do business with them again. And if you're buying, they have a great selection of valuable collectibles, including jewelry, rare coins and notes, etc. They are generous with their time and knowledge and there was absolutely no pressure, unlike several other stores we visited. They told me it would take 20 minutes For the battery replacement but the necklace would be a couple of days. Which is quick! I walked around the stores in the shopping center which there is a lot, and then by the time I got back they replaced my battery watch and fixed my necklace! I had an Australian sapphire that has a lot of meaning for me and was very specific with the design elements I wanted incorporated in my ring. Joe is incredibly talented and made suggestions that vastly improved the design I had in mind. He hand-engraved the inscription I requested inside... also beautiful! His workmanship and attention to detail is superior AND he was able to complete it before I leave for Australia. I've only had the ring two days and I can't count the number of compliments I've received. While they have beautiful jewelry in the store, I recommend having Joe design the ring of your dreams, because no one else will have one like it!
