4 years since my last review, so time for an upgrade! For me, the Irvine Spectrum is a planned trip as it's about a 30-minute drive each way. The important thing to know is that if you come during the holidays or on a weekend, it will be busy. The good thing is, as long as you don't mind parking on the very upper levels and walking a bit, I've always been able to find parking. But if you don't like walking at all, this probably isn't the center for you, and there's a lot of walking if you want to explore everything! What I love about this center is that you have everything from Nordstrom to Target, literally! You can find some very unique restaurants, along with typical chains, so there's something for everyone. We'll occasionally see a movie here as well, but that's another review. What impresses me the most is how well-maintained and clean everything is. Even the elevators in the parking garages are graffiti-free, which is very unusual. Now, not all the locations have maintained their interiors as well, but that's on them and not the Irvine Spectrum. My favorite time to come is still in December. We've always found the night atmosphere to have a lot of great energy. And yes, there are a lot of teens who hang around and have loud fun; they're harmless and add to the energy. read more

A great walking mall...a gathering place for Central OC.... There are a lot that are new and changes. A new Apple Store, a Columbia store and a Nike store. On the weekend there are simply more people. The first mall in America with a Nordstrom and a Target. One of the first mall with a 20 plex movie theater. Now it is a Regal--no longer an Edward. The changes keeps happening, but it is always filled with shops--no empty, open space. I like to walk my nephew's dogs here. They like it here as well. Everyone is happy. Ray out! read more

I come here for food and shopping, when I see things that tickle my fancies I will not hesitate but grab lol Last weekend had a live DJ playing music, love the energy vibe! People dance along and kids jumping around, also a great place for pets to walk around too! Lol It's sure a fun place to walk around after a full meal and the variety of choice to choose from fancy sit down restaurants to fast food, quick grab a bite, there's outdoor seatings available every where. Also if you use Capital One credit card, you can grab a coffee for a discount and enjoy the AC indoor. Cool right? The main attraction is the water play area for kids to enjoy during this hot weather. I may have only been to Irvine Spectrum Center maybe twice or thrice, but no more than that. For all times, I still have not seen the giant ferris wheel. The magnitude of this shopping, dining, and entertainment center is beyond compare from what I've heard. It offers over 170+ specialty stores, major department stores, well-known restaurants, and entertainment venues. That's gigantic! The premier outside shopping venue is anchored by Nordstrom and Target sharing space with so many more top brands, boutiques, and unique shops. Just to name a handful... Anthropologie, Apple, Bacio de Latte, Barnes & Noble, Build-A-Bear, Cotton On / Cotton On Body, Din Tai Fung, Fabletics, FOGO de CHAO, Georgia's, H&M, lululemon athletica, Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics, MINISO, Nike, Sephora, Silverlake Ramen, SomiSomi, The Melt, Urban Outfitters, Vuori, Yard House I was recently here for dinner at Yard House. I think this is a nicer shopping area than most others. It has a decent blend of popular/big-chain stores, smaller stores, restaurants, and other things (like a movie theatre, carousel, and jungle gym). We went into a few stores to look around and enjoyed our time here. They basically have something for whatever you're in the mood for. It definitely is a very crowded place. There's a reason why they have soo many parking lots/areas. I'm glad we were able to come at a less busy time, but I'm sure weekend are extremely crazy. This was my first time visiting Irvine Center. I met a friend for lunch. And OMG this place was restaurant city -- it had a restaurant for every taste. This was a Sunday afternoon and the center was packed. And there's plenty of shopping as well. The center is well laid out, emasculatory clean and plenty of places to shop until you drop. Some stores have waiting lines to get inside. My time was limited so I could only spend an hour there after lunch but, without a doubt, I'll be back again in dine and shop. read more

I think I last visited in 2010 or 2015 and it was cool. Parking is actually simple if you know where to go. I was at the top of the Theater Parking Deck structure in P5 behind Regal and it was perfect. Fortunately, this was not paid parking. I originally thought about hitting up The Dive Oyster Bar, but their main dishes failed to lure me in. Plus, I saw Din Tai Fung, so that was a wrap for me. read more

The Irvine spectrum Center in Irvine is a large outdoor mall filled at high-end stores restaurants too ! When I mean by high-end restaurants, they have Mastro's Steakhouse. This is such a beautiful outdoor mall with so many great restaurants, shops, boutiques, etc. I was here 2 weekends ago with my friends and was surprised to see the Ferris wheel was removed and the area will be rebuilt with an upgraded wheel. I can't wait to check it out once construction is completed! During our visit, there were a few performances held at different sections of the mall as part of the Lunar New Year celebration. It was very entertaining and festive. I love how there are different decorations for the various holidays. Great photo ops! read more

I was surprised it was easy to find parking, especially for a weekend. Before they had a lot of spaces that were only for short periods of time, but they seem to have painted over the description and turned them into regular spaces. I think that was a great decision, it made my visit so much easier. There's so many stores and restaurants at this shopping center that you'll never run out of places to go in a day! Therefore, I will probably go back to explore and to revisit some of my favorites. read more

It has been a long time since I came here. I had a chance to come visit again two weekends ago. This place has completely changed! The last time I was here, there was no Target or H&M. Din Tai Fung is also open here now. I came here with a friend on Valentine's Day celebrating Galentine. It was so crowded! We had a hard time finding parking, but eventually went into the parking garage by Target. We had dinner at Le Shrimp Noodle Bar and walked around the area afterwards. This place definitely double in size! The Ferris wheel was under construction. The Merry go round is still around. I like the vibe of this place at night. What an awesome area to walk around. Lots restaurant and stores to check out. There is also Holey Moley golf club hangout place that looked really cool! I will have to come back and explore more places here when I am back in town. The Irvine Spectrum is just a place you visit whenever you feel like shopping, play some games, or even just to take a walk. There's a bit of everything for everyone here. I've been here many times over the years and it's still a pretty happening place. Parking is pretty convenient and there's starways or you can also take the elevator. A thing I really like about this shopping center are the number of fountains and seating area, that's around all the shopping alleys. It definitely gives it a coastal feel, though it's still a little aways from the ocean. They do have some pretty good dining options here, depending on which section of the shopping center you are at. The Irvine Spectrum is an open-air mall that has retail shops, restaurants, and boutiques. Some highlights I think worth noting about this outdoor mall is it has a ferris wheel, large easy-to-read sign when driving round the area, it's a well-maintained mall, and it is spacious. I stopped by here on a weekday to purchase a couple gifts for family members and happened to drop by the Hello Kitty Cafe (oh so nostalgic). Outdoor center. Parking here is done in structures. I like that it shows how many available spots are on each level. It made it a lot easier to find a spot on a busy Saturday afternoon. There are a mix of shops and eateries. It was nice to see lots of available outdoor seating close to the restaurants and also places to sit (chairs, fountain walls) between stores. There are also plenty of restrooms located throughout. The touchscreen map was really helpful in locating shops and restrooms. I really enjoy stopping at this outdoor mall when I'm traveling back-and-forth between San Diego and wherever else I'm going. It has a little bit of everything, tons of restaurants and cafés, so many different kinds of clothing and shoe stores, a movie theater and Pretty much anything you could need is here. It even has a giant Ferris wheel in the middle. Parking has been hit or miss for me over the years for me. I don't like valeting, but they have that option. I did not really explore much; like I said, it was a bathroom break, and I just spent the time looking for a bathroom I never found until I entered Dave & Buster's. One of my favor malls to go to. The people of the various businesses here are so kind and welcoming. Today was prom for my kiddos so we met with a group of students and their parents for pictures and food prior to their prom. The layout of the outlet is so aesthetically pleasing and great for background pictures. There is so many restaurants to choose from its a foodie venture for those with an appetite. The hubby found ourselves at Dave and Busters for the play off game, food, and gaming area. It made nice for a great night out. One of the larger and more elegant outdoor malls in southern California. This mall probably has over 200 shops including a large selection of restaurants and a Nordstrom and Target. Our favorites have been Javier's Mexican, PF Chang's, and the Cheesecake Factory, but there are so many good ones to choose from. Parking is extremely easy both outside and the garage lots. The mall opens around 10:00 am. Get there early. It tends to get busy around noon. They have a large ferris wheel and lots of places to sit. It will take you a while to walk the entire mall. They also have specialty shops like the chocolate bash, Anthropology, Caitlin Minimalist, and the escape game. They also have a huge Regal movie theater as well. Lots of fountains and nice decor all around the mall. A beautiful place to shop, walk, eat. Highly recommend coming. read more

Ah...Irvine Spectrum. I love this outdoor shopping mall. I know if I was a youngster/teen or even early twenties person, I would love it even more than I do at my age. What is not to love? The Spectrum, has many places to eat food, snacks, desserts and coffee joints, a huge theater, a Barnes and Noble and The Improv! They've got plenty of nice clothing stores, shoes, books, jewelry, makeup, a Nordstrom's, literally everything including a Ferris wheel and merry-go-round. Places to chill and people watch, kids area for playing, pretty water fountains, grassy areas to sit on, pet friendly and they have a Dave N Buster's where kids and adults can be a kid. During the holidays, the grassy area is converted into an ice skating rink, during the summer months it's used for movies or a place for families and kids to chill. The Spectrum is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, great for photos, and is a clean and fun place to be. There is a ton of parking available on the lot and even across the street in a parking structure. As much as parking is plentiful, it can still get super packed and hard to find a space. Queue valet parking which comes in very handy. I am usually not a fan of outdoor shopping malls due to the spacing from one store to another, but we absolutely love The Spectrum. Stores are not far from each other at all. It's a nice place to shop or walk around. We are lucky to live so close to such a great shopping center. It's a must for out of town guests too. Every person we've ever taken to the Spectrum, enjoyed their visit. They always ask for us to bring them when they come back to California. I hate how hard it is to find parking here no matter when I come visit. Well, not unless it's like 30 minutes prior to store opening on a Sunday, it's really frustrating to find parking. The superchargers available on the second floor of the garage is one of the worst. You get to watch queue jumping a$$hats. The best of Irvinites on display. The stores available here are mediocre as are the restaurants. I would much rather just go to Fashion Island or over at South Coast Plaza. This place is like a glorified Westminster Mall. Bring some comfortable shoes because you're going to be here for a while. There's a lot of parking but it is a very popular mall so finding parking can sometimes be tricky. There's valet available if you're not willing to drive around in search of a spot. There's a huge variety of retail and food options. As far as food goes, you can get snacks, desserts, drinks, fast food or dine in at a fancy sit in restaurant. The ferris wheel is currently unavailable due to reconstruction. They have a children's birthday club and every year they do/give the signed up children something different. There's a carousel, a mist play area and a playground. There's lots of bathrooms, including family areas. The place is clean and well kept. It is an outdoor mall so plan accordingly with the weather. There's also entertainment like a movie theater, Dave and Busters and an escape room. I frequently like coming to the spectrum to just hang out with friends and family or do a little shopping for myself. It usually gets super crowded around the holidays. Example for winter holidays there is the large Christmas tree decoration and display and lighting and an ice rink during the winter time. Every time there is a holiday they have various decor throughout the spectrum center. The most recent one was for Easter and it was very colorful and pastel. I like coming here because there are a variety of restaurants that even dine at. For example, Yard House, Fogo de Chão, cheesecake, factory, Xavier, Paul Martins etc all good for happy hour. There's also Rocky Mountain chocolate factory, wrestle pretzels, honey and butter macaroons, hello kitty cafe, etc. There's also a lot of clothing stores for both men and women and kids as well. Examples of stores include Old Navy, Torrid, Champs, Aeropostale, Nordstrom, Lip lab, Tilly's and much more. Another fun filled event is their Giant Wheel. I like come around sunset time to watch the sunset up top. Very quiet and sometimes breezy but gorgeous OC views. On a good day you can see the Pacific Ocean! I've also included a hidden gem that I found today. This part of the review is for the new store called PhotoLaVie that's located at Irvine Spectrum. No staff required as it's a bunch of photo kiosk with QR code for pricing and accessories that you can use to take photo booth pictures. Quite a cute idea and easy to use. read more

Irvine Spectrum Center is a popular outdoor mall in Orange County, located at the intersection of Hwy 5 and 405, just look for the Irvine Center drive or the Alton Pkwy exits. ISC may not the largest mall in California but it is pretty huge. Make sure you remember the store you see when you get in or it can be a wild chase to find your car later. Thankfully there are many kiosks to help you find the store you are looking for, also the route to get there from where you are. They have many uniformed security guard throughout its premise to keep visitors safe. I always appreciate its green space, fountains, benches and outdoor patios so I can have a place to rest when I become tired. I don't shop at ISC often but I often come here to find out what is new, the same reason I visit Las Vegas from time to time. Clearly ISC is very profitable for the Irvine Company but the turnover may suggest it may not be so for its leasee shops. read more

Such a great mall! Always clean and tidy. The restrooms are super modern. They even offer a family restroom. So many stores to choose from; it's actually overwhelming how many options there are here!
