I bought a Hello Kitty sunscreen. They seem to have more Sanrio beauty options than another location I've been to which is great! My sister got a good number of items, but when we got to the register they informed us that they were all out of bags. I'm pretty sure they charge for them, and if they do we would have still purchased one since we had a lot of stuff so that was a shame that they were out. But I appreciate that we were given the heads up at the beginning of the transaction, and hopefully in the future whoever is in charge of bags will be more on top of it so they don't run out. The employee also made sure to apply my points, which I appreciate because any discount helps! Overall I had a good experience and I would go back to this location again. read more

Miniso at Irvine Spectrum is one of the larger locations I've visited, and it's well-organized with a neat layout. The store has a self-checkout kiosk, which makes the shopping experience efficient, and the staff was friendly and helpful. There's a huge selection of Chiikawa merchandise, which seems to be a highlight here. I was pleasantly surprised to see BT21 merch on sale--an RJ cap for only $8 and a lunch box with two compartments for $10. Given how pricey BT21 items usually are, this was a great find for BTS fans. Beyond that, they currently have a variety of licensed merchandise, including Harry Potter and Powerpuff Girls items. It's always fun to browse Miniso for cute and affordable finds, and this location is definitely worth a visit. read more

I love this spot! They have really cute hair baby pink colored hair brushes. The characters are cute. I have a Hello Kitty and a Melody one. It's a small store, but it is packed with a ton of different things. They also have a nice little snack collection. I have mixed feelings about Miniso. On one hand, they have super cute items, including popular character branded items like Pokemon, Harry Potter, etc. On the other, they advertise themselves as affordable when I really don't think they are. For example, we saw a tiny blind box that cost $14! We've been to a lot of similar stores and that price seems average to high. Nonetheless, we did find some unique Kirby items here that I haven't seen at other places. Overall, this is a fun place to browse, but you might be better off just looking and not buying. Their return policy is also pretty bad, as I noticed you only have a week to return and you have to return at the same location you originally purchased at, which is odd considering I've seen locations all over OC. read more

A lovely MINISO in Irvine Spectrum Center. It was going through renovation so a lot of products are missing. The blind box display was quite empty. I went for the 3D toy product and fortunately or unfortunately they only have ONE item left! Maybe it might be a lot better when they finished the renovation. read more

I went to Miniso to look around for fun, affordable gifts for me, my best friend, and her Mom. Why the rating for the particular Miniso my review is about is so low confounds me. Their employees greeted me, and I took my time looking at Lilo and Stitch goodies, as all of us are L&S fans. Sanrio Hello Kitty stickers and a plethora of Sanrio doodads were also available, I bought L&S socks for me, my best friend and her Mom. I also bought a purple Pokemon Go collectible tin containing PoGo trading cards. When I went to the register, the employee informed me about more PoGo merchandise which would be in store later on in the day. Knowledge given about toys and collectibles I might want to buy is certainly useful. When she rang up my purchases, I bought the store bag for 20 cents because I didn't bring my own. The bag is made of paper and its red color with the store name printed in white makes it look unique. My theory about the low rating is people may be comparing this store to the one at Irvine Spectrum. Although that particular store has a lot more square footage and many more goodies, I felt there was very little personal space between me and their huge number of customers. The Shops at Mission Viejo location has a more relaxed vibe, some of the same goods as the Spectrum, and I feel I have more personal space there. 4 stars and I will return. My best friend and her Mom love the Lilo and Stitch socks. I'm liking my Pokemon Go collectible. read more

The official Miniso TikTok account is constantly posting from this specific Miniso so I was under the impression that it's probably the best Miniso out there. I was overwhelmed, but I wasn't wrong! This Miniso is super crowded, Irvine Spectrum already has a ton of people so it's no surprise that Miniso would be full of people. It's also very big, but I would say it's about the same size as the Miniso in Del Amo Fashion Center. However, this location seems to get other items before other Miniso's do. I've never seen Heroine makeup or hair accessories at any other Miniso I have gone to. This Miniso also carried Smiskis when I went! The employees are nice and very patient. My mom held up the line a bit because she couldn't decide which travel utensils she wanted, and the employee made a suggestion that helped us! I would definitely come again but definitely during a time where it's not so busy. There's tons more things that this Miniso has to offer, but it was hard with the big crowd and how hot the store got. read more

I had been waiting to come back to Miniso for a long time. Like others said, Miniso can be a hit or miss. This time it was a hit. This store finally started carrying the Sanrio collection that I've been eyeing for years. I couldn't believe my eyes. I bought Sanrio magnets, surprise squishies, and keychains as souvenirs to bring back home. There was other stuff too, but it didn't seem practical to buy. There was some Toy Story merchandise too leftover from previous seasons. I bought some green alien keychains (way cheaper than buying it at Disneyland). I spent about $100.00 at Miniso. It's easy to do that because the merch is so cute. read more

This place is not for people who are claustrophobic. The entrance is a fire hazard! One way in and one way out but it's super narrow. It is organized and they do have a good selection of cute things. They make it so that it's by company or character. However, they don't have as much as the garden grove location. The workers are also not very helpful and don't look like they want to be there. Prices vary and can get really expensive. Feel like they've raised prices significantly from when they first opened. I honestly go cause my friend likes to buy things here and rarely get things for myself knowing that you can easily spend over $100 here. read more

OMG cuteness overload. I think my kiddo was going to fall over or spontaneously combust when she stepped foot in here. This is located at the Irvine Spectrum. Not sure if there is a nearest parking lot, but the Spectrum website suggests the theater parking. The nearest identifiable "mark" would be the Cheesecake Factory. I think a lot of people mistake Miniso to be a Japanese company, but it's actually Chinese owned. I believe it's inspired by the Japanese scenery and culture, so there are some Japanese products such as cosmetics and other nicknacks. This location is bigger than the one near UCI, so it seems to have more stuff. When we came here recently on a Friday, there were tons of Sanrio and Disney stuff. We controlled ourselves (and our wallets) and ended up just getting a few things, but took our time eliminating what we didn't need, as they are not cheap. Yes, comparatively cheaper than the merch at the actual Sanrio or Disney Store, but 3-4 inch stuffed Disney character key charm for $12.99, a Disney decorated hair clip for $9.99, a pair of socks with a dog printed on it for $9.99 (and it's just a generic dog)...we got 7 items that came out to $63.50 with tax. Oy vey. Oh, the prices on some items aren't clearly labeled so best to ask the staff before buying. There were 2 kiosks for self checkout and one staff at the counter. It would have been nice to have a designated or signed area where customers can line up (unless I just didn't see it). The aisles were kind of narrow for a 2-lane traffic (hard to pass by when someone else is already in the aisle) so we had to walk around the occupied aisles to get to the last group standing in line. Overall, a fun store to explore and find adorable stuff that you don't really need, but great if you have extra money to spend lol. read more

This store is either a hit or miss. Sometimes I'll actually buy things, and other times I feel like I don't want to get anything cuz it's just added to my junk at home. But I actually found something I needed, a cell phone holder for my car. There were several to chose from and luckily the one I got was so simple and it's actually perfect. So perfect that I actually need to go back and get a couple more so I can get one for my bf and my mom actually. They have a little self check out at the front by the regular checkouts. Super easy and quick when you only have a few items! The stock of course varies, due to popularity, but they almost always have something that is sanrio or Disney. Nice store, decent sized place and in a good location in the plaza. I've never heard of Miniso until I stumbled upon them at the Irvine Spectrum. It's a cute little store with plenty of stuffed animals/squish mellow type, small trinkets, toys, food home supplies and majority personal supplies. The prices were ok to what I felt was over priced. I think if this was me in my younger days I'd be happy and excited with all the little gadgets regardless of the price...but fast forward to today and I'm looking at some of the items in the store and cannot see myself buying as something's just seem flimsy and likely to break after a couple of uses. Nonetheless, I see the store to be flooded with a younger generation of patrons purchasing their items. Not a place I'd ever "need" to go back to. read more

On the fence about this store. Sanrio knows how to attract its customers with cute colors and their cute characters. This store carries variety of items not all are that good quality items and very cheap when you think they are good. I got buckets that I thought were good plastic and broke, slippers that didn't last a week. A car washer on a stick and the sponge broke off midway of washing on the first use. That explains no refund or exchanges because they know their shit is bad!! The employees there are really nice though. read more

My daughter loved this store for the little bit of Sanrio items that they did have. She got a really cool organizer container for super cheap for her to put her Hello Kitty stuff in. She also got a few anime items as well. I was hoping for more Sanrio, but they had a lot of other stuff here as well and I know it can't all be Sanrio. Been here several times. The last time around March, there was a security guard inside the store. Totally understandable since so many people walk in and out of here BUT once we were ready to check out, he pointed at self check out and I walked over there. I began to scan my purchases and he took the items and scanned them himself, looked helpful at first but he oddly rushed me along. Asked me if I wanted to buy a bag and then told me to pay. Something really odd about the whole interaction because it wasn't necessary. He just stood over my kids and I. LOVE THE SERVICE HERE!!! The workers always have amazing attitudes, the best customer service. I understand why people may be intimidated with the store, but it is huge! It is bigger than any Miniso I have been to. Like many other Miniso stores they had a cute collection of random items that could work for pretty much anyone. I personally didn't find as much as I had wished to but I did grab some great little patch pins for my Jean jacket. The store has a weird process for lining up with its markers on the floor in a weird pattern and it seemed a bit awkward for social distancing. The staff was nice and the handled the line quickly. I wish the little Kewpie dolls in the glass case was still available for purchase, they were super cute. Oh well maybe next time. read more

pros...nice place to get all your "we bare bears" stuff if you like them. I am a fan and only found this place cause it looked like a daiso. Wandered in and found so many cool things in here. You can find a lot of household storage, lunch boxes other organizational things. But the main reason I like it is because they carry Ice bear. All kidding aside, it's a nice place, and also dog friendly. Well if you have a friendly dog that is. They allow dogs inside and it's so nice and refreshing to see a place like this. cons...I agree with T.A N. almost 98% of the products they sell are made in China. I think I found something that was made in Vietnam, but it wasn't something that I needed. I'm personally not buying things made in China, just my small part to boycott their products.
