If you are looking for a plaza with plenty of restaurant choices this is the place to go. They have so many things to choose from. Mostly foods from Asia. Service is great at most locations. I have no encountered any negative experiences. They open late and have karaoke upstairs too. Hmart, miniso, and tanashima if you want to do some extra shopping while waiting for your table too. Great prices too. There something for everyone.

Diamond Jamboree's variety of restaurants is absolutely awesome, & even having a variety of Boba places to try! My favorites here are: -Coco Ichibanya (Japanese Curry House) -Kicking Crab (Cajun/Creole, Seafood) -Pepper Lunch (Meat Rice Lunches on a Sizzle Platter) -Sunright Tea Studio (Boba/Fresh Drinks) Yigah (Korean Dishes like Gamjatang) Haidilao (Hot Pot) H-Mart (Korean/Asian Supermarket) The only poor experience here is honestly the parking. Since theres only a small path you can take to exit/enter the main plaza, it can get pretty congested on evenings/nights during the weekends. Overall an awesome staple of Irvine, and as new restaurants have been coming in, I'm always excited to see what will pop up here!

Are people still parking at the church? Is it still allowed?

Yes! Parking at church allowed except for Sunday mornings. Also the parking structure is behind H-Mart and usually has a few spaces as well!

Are the outside dining tables okay to eat at during this time or are they blocked from being used?

I was just there a couple weeks ago and I was able to eat on one of the outside tables. Most of the outside tables were being used as well. Only caveat, is that this was before OC moved back into the Purple Tier so I don't know what changes have… Read more

Are there activities to do inside aside from eating and shopping?

There's salon, bank and an arts and crafts shop. Probably other things to do beyond eating/shopping, just depends what you looking to do.

Is there a purikura in this area? a purikura is a photo booth but japanese themed.

There is not currently, but good idea. 👍

The main attraction is the water play area for kids to enjoy during this hot weather. I have never encountered this issue in the past as I have always dressed nicely when visiting this mall and we have always in the past planned visits around getting a meal or buying some things during our mall walking, but this time we didn't want to spend much money and didn't bother to dress up which ostensibly is a huge problem to South Coast Plaza security and seemed to put a target on us. Good forbid two people who don't look rich want to enjoy a beautiful air conditioned mall on a hot day. Let this be a warning to all that you should look rich and/or visibly be actively spending money here if you want to avoid being followed.

The Shopping & Entertainment: The Stores: Most of the shops just aren't stores that everyday consumers actually want. It's mostly filled with weird, random boutique stores that no one has ever heard of, charging ridiculous prices like $300 for a single t-shirt. No Movie Theater: For a mall of this size, it's pretty disappointing that they don't even have a movie theater to catch a film. The Silver Lining: Parking: The only consistently good thing about this mall is the parking situation. No matter when you visit, there always seems to be plenty of parking available. Final Verdict: It's a beautiful outdoor space to stroll through, but as a practical place to shop or find entertainment, it's just not the best.

The whole area has a cool, laid back vibe that feels different from your typical shopping center. There are lots of unique shops to browse, along with great food and drink options like Seabirds, Stella Jean's, and other local favorites. Since it's an outdoor shopping center, we got to enjoy the beautiful California sunshine while walking around. One of my favorite parts was all of the art installations scattered throughout the property. They add so much character to the space and make it feel creative and fun. Plus, there are plenty of Instagram worthy spots if you love taking photos. We spent some time checking out the different shops and ended up stopping by Blends. The service there was excellent. The staff was friendly, helpful, and took the time to answer my questions without making me feel pressured to buy anything. I ended up finding a pair of Asics sneakers that I absolutely loved. Of course, I know that Tik Tok are all over this place and there's a bunch of teens posing the same pose at the same spots for likes (like my daughter) so I am sure she had fun with her friends. However, I just wished they had more shops and restaurants for me to hang out at while the kids are in line to take their pics. Overall, I give a 6/10.
