I like this plaza that has outside seating that you can order whatever you want from your party if each of you wants something different. Many options from tea drink stores, hot pot, BBQ, Korean foods, H Mart, Somi Somi, 85 degrees Bakery, and etc. You can get snacks, drinks, pastry, entrees, to desserts. Lots options. I enjoy walking around the plaza with lots options to choose from. Each person and get food to go and all sit outside the table. Good value. read more

tl,dr: horrendous shopping area. but good restaurants. Likes: + This Shopping Center houses an awesome selection of restaurants like Pepper Lunch, Coco Ichibanya, and MeetFresh. Non-likes: - This large shopping center has only 3 entrances/exits, 2 of which are tucked away. So if you're looking to dine somewhere deep in like at Pepper Lunch, you have to navigate through abundant pedestrian and car traffic to find parking first. The floor plan designers should've included 1 or 2 more exits closer to the Alton Pkwy & Jamboree Rd intersection. - And parking is often horrendous throughout the whole day. From lunch hour to dinner hour, parking is almost always packed. You can expect to spend up to 10min seeking parking during the worst hours of the day. Even the parking structure in the back isn't sufficient during rush hour. - The back alley that passes by the church is riddled with horrendous, tall speed bumps. Awful on your car's suspension. They need to smooth out those speed bumps. Better yet, remove them entirely. They're not needed. - Also, many entitled drivers in the parking lot. For example, when they're at a stop sign and you're driving through the intersection because you don't have a stop sign, they jut out and almost collide with you. And if you honk, both the driver and the passenger in the other car will freak out and make a face at you as if YOU'RE the weird one. It may be worth the investment and mental peace to seek lunch elsewhere. - The center parking spots of the parking structure smelled like old urine. Parking there is a lil secluded, but boy does it reek. read more

Parking, the worst. Food options, the best. I live fairly close to the plaza, so walking over there makes it a lot more enjoyable. This plaza has really good options like Chubby Cattle, Haidilao, CoCo Ichibanya, Kickin' Crab, Sunright, etc. There's also an HMart here too! During peak times like weekends and nights, the parking situation is pretty wild, but there are three parking options: parking lot in the plaza, parking structure, and an extended/overflow parking on the other side of HMart. Most places in this plaza is pretty expensive, so you'll likely spend about $20-40 per person at any of the restaurants. read more

Horrible parking lot, specially since all the Braun workers park there, don't they have their own parking lot? The noise towards the eating sections is the worst, you can't have a conversations when there is a million of delivery trucks backing into to deliver,right next to where you are sitting,forget if you are trying to have a meeting or you are on an important call, the music is just soooo loud, please reconsider lowering it, we can't have a conversation out in the chairs. read more

If you are looking for a plaza with plenty of restaurant choices this is the place to go. They have so many things to choose from. Mostly foods from Asia. Service is great at most locations. I have no encountered any negative experiences. They open late and have karaoke upstairs too. Hmart, miniso, and tanashima if you want to do some extra shopping while waiting for your table too. DJ shopping center has such a nice variety of food (BCD Tofu) and bit of shopping stores (Miniso) to name a few for places to visit! There are multiple tea shops, there's even a new BBQ place, there's seafood options, and just overall, a lot of shops that make this the hot spot to visit, which also means parking can be a pain. During busy hours, the lot can fill up quick and even the garage can be full too, there maybe overfill parking but be careful parking at H-Mart if you're planning to go visit other stores and shops. read more

Love this plaza! Diamond Jamboree is one of my favorite spots because there's such a great variety of Asian food. Grom boba to hot pot to sushi, you can pretty much find whatever you're craving. It's also a fun place to just hang out with friends since there's always something new to try. Only downside is the parking. It can definitely get hectic, especially on weekends, but there is a parking structure which helps a lot if you're willing to circle around a bit. Terrible parking jobs of taking two spots to nearly t-boning my car twice at a stop sign.....sigh. Maybe when I was younger and was "yearning for greener pastures" that I was saying that Diamond Jamboree was the far superior version than Diamond Plaza. This was after Genki Living, Cue!, and Arcade Infinity closed down; however, new life is being breathed into the 626 and I think I'm starting to lean more towards the Diamond Plaza that I grew up with. Sunright, 85c, Pepper Lunch, bbq Chicken, Sul & Beans, 7 Leaves, BCD, H Mart, Haidilao, Takashima, etc. are all available to me in the 626. The H Mart they have here does have a Pizza Chicken Love Letter (though we also have this literally down the street from Diamond Plaza) and some other food options inside that ours doesn't have. I think the only businesses here that I am truly jealous of are Somi Somi (RIP the on in the Santa Anita mall, now the closest one is in Little Tokyo or Fullerton...), Coco Ichibanya (so successful that they absorbed the business next to them), and Kura Revolving Sushi (why the 626 doesn't have one of these yet is beyond me). Unlike Diamond Plaza, I have been destroyed trying to find parking here and that's with an entire parking structure, an entire lot, AND the weird gravel side lot too. I don't think I've ever had that issue at Diamond Plaza. Diamond Plaza also has one of the final bastions of The Alley (nice JJK collab), an Anime Station, the newest Chubby Cattle, and a Xing Fu Tang. So a newer, more grown up me is now ready to explore out of Diamond Jamboree. read more

I love so many of the businesses here. And yet, I avoid this center at all costs (or I have someone else drive). Why? Because parking is an absolute nightmare. Not only are there not enough parking spots to accommodate some of these very popular eateries, but people drive like maniacs trying to find a spot and often time park so poorly that they will either hit another car or just flat out take 2 parking spots. We always factor in 10+ minutes just to circling around trying to find a spot. With that said, once you park, this center is great. They offer so many great eateries that often times it's tough to decide on which one you want to go to. There have been times when we've decided to eat at one restaurant and while trying to find parking, change our minds and end up eating elsewhere. You really can't go wrong. This plaza has many selections to choose from from stores and restaurants. All of them have great service with employees. For the value, it's worth it for any place you go here. Fridays and Saturdays are usually really packed even at the restaurants. So id recommend going early to put your name down or calling in and asking for wait times. I simply love this plaza. Took a random late night stroll in my convertible during a trip to Irvine. Stumbled upon this place with its beautiful holiday lighting. It basically has every Asian restaurant/grocery store/knick knacks that I love. It's hard to be bored at this plaza, and if you are -- it's very comfortable to be so! It's crazy how clean and nice it is, I would've thought it only opened 3-5 years ago, but apparently based on the yelp reviews it's been open at least +15 years. There's a parking structure behind the place in case it gets too crowded. There are so many options to eat, and several places that open very late as well. For anyone who's living nearby this place, and/or has convenient access to this place, you are very lucky imo!!! read more

This is the plaza to be when you get hangry. I love the diversity here. The crowd is super diverse. You can go to the supermarkets + grab a bite to eat. Everyone is nice and welcoming. H mart is my favorite market in the plaza. I love getting frozen fish balls stuffed with pork here. It quality of the products are so good. That's why it can be on the pricier side. You get what you pay for. I highly recommend you visit this place with your friends, SO, family or even solo. My favorites here are: -Coco Ichibanya (Japanese Curry House) -Kicking Crab (Cajun/Creole, Seafood) -Pepper Lunch (Meat Rice Lunches on a Sizzle Platter) -Sunright Tea Studio (Boba/Fresh Drinks) Yigah (Korean Dishes like Gamjatang) Haidilao (Hot Pot) H-Mart (Korean/Asian Supermarket) The only poor experience here is honestly the parking. Since theres only a small path you can take to exit/enter the main plaza, it can get pretty congested on evenings/nights during the weekends. I love coming here because there's several food options here. I just don't go here during the evening and night hours cuz parking can definitely be a pain. My favorite places are 85 degrees, Pho Saigon Pearl, 7 Leaves, Sunright, Somi Somi, and Afters. I still need to try Tim Ho Wan. There was also a nice beauty store that I just randomly went into , Palace Beauty. It was cute and simple. However there is a big parking garage behind the shops that has walkways connected to the shopping center. Super easy and there's always spots. This is what I call Irvine flavortown! It's your one stop shop for everything asian & entertainment. Craving dim sum? Head over to Tim Ho Wan for an authentic Cantonese taste of "the most inexpensive" awarded dim sum restaurant. Dim sum not your thing? Have no fear, try pepper lunch for a Japanese steakhouse experience (my #1 spot!). Don't worry there's meatless options at pepper lunch as well. Or if you're not into beef & want some good ol fashioned korean fried chicken (THE BEST) head over to BBQ chicken (next to pepper lunch!). Be prepared to wait as they are horribly slow in preparing food (just warning). If you're feeling faaaancy climb upstairs & try Hai DiLao & order the dancing noodle - yup it's worth the money & wait (best to get on the yelp waiting list!). Looking for k-beauty or hard to find Japanese skincare? Takashima has everything from Pola to sulwhasoo. & cheap cheap sheet masks of course. Don't let the 1 star rating deter you! Want Asian cuisine? This place has everything you want and is worth visiting. The only reason it gets an A-OK is parking and traffic are horrendous during lunch, some week nights, AND weekends. One needs to come in and check it out if you want Japanese food, Taiwan food, Korean food, Udon, Seafood/Crawfish, Dumplings, dessssserts galore. We get the big 18 pound black iron molcajete-shaped vessel heated past boiling with Korean ingredients that probably come from the market. Never disappointed...in the chow or my friends! If you are driving by and run out of gas, you could stay for a week and not get bored (Plush Karaoke Lounge) or hungry (Ajisen Ramen, BBQ Chicken, BCD Tofu for starters). I absolutely LOVE this MECCA for ASIAN DINING in the OC Irvine area. It's a great place to come to and arrive even with no reservations nor plans, and then stroll around to decide where to eat. On Friday Nights and Weekends, it's harder to find parking and there's longer waits in line for seating. There's Chinese, Japanese, and Korean Foods as well as niches like dumplings, noodles, etc. here. There will be a Dim Sum restaurant opening at the end of 2018 or early 2019 supposedly. There's deserts and ice cream here too. There's one grocery store albeit an H-Mark Korean Market. The only thing that's missing here is probably a solid Thai, Vietnamese and Cantonese restaurant from the mix of diversity. It's nice to see the multi-cultural patronage of non-Asians and Asians alike all coming together, although Asians are the majority here. If they had one of these in every major neighborhood with a decent Asian population of residents in each community in So Cal, I think the business model would thrive. read more

Pre-COVID, this plaza was a nightmare, never any parking and people would be double parked all over the place. Went there yesterday, and it was still quite lively, but a whole heck of a lot better than it had been. There are tons of places to try! I tried 3 new places to eat yesterday, Tim Ho Wan, SomiSomi, and Sunright Tea Studio, and I still haven't attempted to try nearly half of the other food offerings. If you don't mind only going for take out, now is the time to go, but obviously respect the social distancing and don't forget to have a mask with you. read more

The plaza also features several good restaurants such as Ajisen Ramen, Chef Hung, Urban Seoul, and Capital Seafood . There is also a good Korean Market with a good range of produce for a cheap price. This food-centered shopping mall is epic! There's BCD Tofu (great bibimbap and tofu soup), curry, dim sum, Korean shaved ice, Taiwanese snacks, Japanese curry... what else could you want? I'll keep it short for this one. There's really no special need for me to elucidate on how terrible parking was in this place!! During the super rush times in the evening from Mon-Fri, especially Friday, then weekends night time...you can forget parking in the structure and better luck finding a different spot near by the church south of the shopping plaza! I bet whomever owns this plaza really didn't care too much about customers' parking needs at first. Next, restaurants are everywhere there...many of them I disliked so much of it...although back in 2008 was my first time there. Back then there weren't so many restaurants compared with 2018 when I last time went there. Guppy House was good, Capital seafood no thanks, BBQ Chicken racists, Tokyo Table super noisy, 85C Bakery super long queue can annoy the crap outta me! It seems to be like this is an OUT NIGHT OUT ASIAN INVASION PLAZA but at least open for EVERYBODY! There's not a lot of good impression for me there beside back in 2008 when it was more peaceful with less people...sad read more

Freaking retarded how they designed this place -- I think whoever did it went to the Tustin District school of design except at the District if you drive around a bit more you can find another way in or out. I guess they based this on Diamond Plaza in Rowland Heights, and this place will be just as effed up when super busy and the traffic will undoubtedly back up because people are trying to get in and out of the poorly designed drive ways -- did I mention, only one way in or out via Alton? Instead of maximizing traffic flow it's more like every effort was made to minimize it. One would think that improvements would've been made because the RH location doesn't work -- DUH??? Trying to get out of the plaza was a mess -- you have to go back out the same way you came in -- uh -- hello?? Why didn't anyone think to have another way in or out via Jamboree? At the moment, less than half of the shops are open which means that less cars are frequenting the plaza but parking is already pretty competitive. Once all the shops and restaurants are open, this place will be a traffic nightmare! Only saving grace is that there seems to be a parking structure (oh wait a minute, the RH location has an underground one too and that doesn't seem to help) but then again, with the amount of restaurants in this plaza, it will just be the same as all the plazas in Irvine where lots of bad drivers are trying to get in and out of serious confusion which can only mean plenty of fender benders no doubt. It's getting 2 stars cuz H Mart is in there and I can't wait for it to open and you can go to a grocery store early. Just thinking of the crazy traffic situation is frustrating me. read more
