You can't miss this huge structure in the Las Colinas area. Its exterior looks like a giant rusty birdcage that crash landed here from outer space. The interior is cool and spacious with quick elevators or your choice of the slower escalators. There are numerous ballrooms and smaller rooms for pretty much any size gathering you're holding. The only complaint I could find was at the fourth floor level, just outside the ballrooms, it can get extremely loud if you get 100 or so people talking. There is no sound deadening material, so it gets very loud. The bathrooms are very clean and modern. They do have an outside smoking area on the third level and one nice design aspect is the outdoor flowing stairway that can take you to the ground level. Some yelpers have complained about the small parking garage. There are two hotels directly next to the center, the Westin and the Texican Court. However, there are quite a number of other hotels nearby along with some areas of fine dining. I've included a number of photos to help round out the review.

I was here for a business trip. I went to a convention that was all day long. This convention center is beautiful. I was in work mode so I didn't get the opportunity to take many pictures but if you ever get the opportunity to go here I highly recommend it! They have a cafeteria that serves Starbucks. Parking is super simple and the people who work here are super friendly.

1st time at this convention center. It's really big! Its laid out well. The rooms are all labeled well so you know where your going. The rooms were comfortable. The staff were attentive. The snack stations and Breakfast were good. They have a Starbucks as well. Parking is in the garage connected to the convention center. Very easy access.

For those old enough to remember Reunion Arena, you will find the architecture of this place from the outside strangely reminiscent. I have been to this center many times, both planning and attending events here. It offers a lot of things other centers fail on, like a great staff to work with, versatile event space, and a nice parking garage dor the folks attending your event. Also, the food service is better than most as well. Whether you are planning a business meeting or an all out convention, concert, or other event, it is worth the time to visit with these folks.

I have been here many times for other Expos.... Mostly the National Natural Hair Show. It is always Awesome with different vendors and Celebrity Keynote speakers. I also come out with so much knowledge and all types of goodies. Irving must be offering a really great deal. Because so many organizations come out in here in numbers. Which means it has limited space. This goes for parking and even vendor space. While it is in a good location and the desire that brings you out is to your advantage. This place is only for Expos that are much more smaller. So space is a major factor. But all in all a really nice place that gets the job done. But get there early because you might have to walk due to lack of parking space.

The building itself is reminiscent of star wars, so I guess that's why they have the annual sci fi convention here. If you're attending a restricted access event, you'll need to park in a lot down the block and either walk or take a shuttle, and then walk 3/4 of the way around the building to get to the main doors, which are unfortunately never marked well. Follow the hoards of people and you'll get to the in hole. Inside, the facility itself is nice, with sufficient restrooms and concession stands on the ground level to accommodate the number of people the venue can hold. The concession stands are along the outer walls in the exhibit hall and there is also one right when you enter the building. They sell hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken salads, chips, fountain and bottled sodas, starbucks coffee, and tazo tea. I had a chicken salad, and was pleasantly surprised as to its quality. Heirloom tomatoes!?! The chicken was an actual cooked chicken breast that had been chilled and presliced. The lettuce was a spring mix and very fresh. There were also carrot and jicama shreds, and the dressing was a relatively light and fresh vinaigrette. Amazing!

The ICC is huge and a piece of architectural artwork. We had a conference here and had plenty of room. The building is clean and easy to navigate. The 4th floor shook as we danced, which was kinda disturbing but it held. Classrooms are painted with white board paint, which is great for teachers. The cafe needs to expand it's options. Water and cups were readily available and plenty of bathrooms on every floor.

Prior to this, I normally Thanksgiving Brunch at the Gaylord Texan each year. Their brunch is $100+ per person and I wanted to give the Constellation Club a try. PRIOR TO GOING: I made reservations over the phone. No credit card needed. Dress code expectation is business casual/ Sunday's Best. I was also told they validate parking. THE LOCATION: Easily found in the Irving/ Las Colinas area in the tallest building there. You'll know you found it because of the Mustangs statues in the front. Quick hint... valet is in the rear of the building. I parked in the garage area and took my ticket with me... to get validated. The club is on the 26th floor. Security is there to make sure you go to the right elevators. THE PLACE: Coming off the elevators (26th floor), you're greeted by folks at a table. The place has very modern decor and nice views of the city. On a clear day, you can see downtown Dallas, Arlington, and downtown Fort Worth. If you really know your city, you can see the 635/75 area and City Line in the distance. Great spot for taking selfies or taking in nice views. Anyways... Someone pulls your reservation. I was asked to pay ahead of time. Four people at $60 a piece, I paid a little over $300. Apparently there was a service charge that I wasn't told about over the phone. I ask about parking validation and was told that it was for members only. After some back and forth and back and forth and even more back and forth, they made an exception and validated my parking. Keep in mind, I was told they were validating parking for Thanksgiving (over the phone). I'm big on accountability. The gratuity was technically included but you get the option to tip additional. I would have tipped additional had there not been a service charge. The way I see it, if I can be surprised about a service charge, they can be surprised that I wasn't spending additional money. To me, the service charge was their tip. THE FOOD: After finding a seat (you sit anywhere), you go to the brunch buffet. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Scrambled eggs that look like they were made with powder. Bacon, apple sausage, mashed potatoes, vegetables, salad, ham, turkey, and bland chicken wings. There was a separate room for deserts.... pecan pie, pumpkin pie, cookies, etc. Overall, the bacon, mashed potatoes, and turkey were winners. Everything else was either bland or average. STAFF: The wait staff were friendly and very attentive to our needs. OVERALL: It was a decent experience I did ONE TIME. It was also cool to find out what was in that tall building that I'd always drive by. WAS IT WORTH $60 ($300 for four people)? NO. Absolutely not. You have to keep in mind that besides the food (which was nothing to write home about), and the views of the city, there's nothing else to do. You're there to eat and leave. It's Thanksgiving and the area is a ghost town. It's not like you can take a walk and get into another activity. Coming full circle, this is why I mentioned the Gaylord Texan as a measuring bar. The Gaylord Texan validates parking if you eat the Thanksgiving brunch. You don't have to be a member. You can walk the resort and appreciate the decor... or participate in other activities. It's festive. Yes, the Gaylord is $100 per person but the food options are endless and taste amazing. I wouldn't do the Constellation Club again. I certainly didn't see the value in joining as a member. Definitely a one-time experience for me. I recommend going there for a drink (if they'll allow it) and checking out the views of DFW. If they want to keep it exclusive, let them have fun with that. It's not worth it.

However the bathroom sinks may just be an elaborate prank pulled on every guest of this hotel. There are many photos already on here, but the pictures don't do it justice.
