This train stop is definitely one of the cleaner ones. Not a lot of people so it's less hustle than…read moremost stations. They have a heat room on each of the tracks as well as in the main station. It's also attached to a cafe so in the morning you can get a bite to eat and still make the train. There's a ticket matching on the platform but only in the grand central side. If you're going up north you'd have to go upstairs for a ticket.

When reviewing NJ transit, I would say as a whole they have very good customer service. I don't think there is any train station in any town that goes above and beyond, or is very bad. So the five stars is mainly for the transit system, and not so much the physical Park Ridge Station. There are ticket machines to the left side of the green building. The inside of the green building has seating area and there are benches outside. If you are concerned about not having enough time to purchase a ticket, or if you don't want to waste ticket paper, you can purchase tickets on the NJ Transit app.

The two NJT routes this station serves are the Montclair-Boonton line and the Morris & Essex line. The station is kept in decent condition and clean. It's not anything fancy and it has been over 15 years since they did their last renovation, but it serves its purpose of saving you from driving that commute to the City!

So, my partner and I took the advantage today by taking the train by our home at Plauderville, going north to the terminus at Port Jervis, NY, along the Bergen Line. A one-way ride on a packed train took 2 hours and 10 minutes, passing various diverse scenery from urban to rural. NJ Transit is the largest statewide public transportation system in the nation and the third-largest transit system in the country, with 166 rail stations, 62 light rail stations, and more than 19,000 bus stops connecting New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia. Port Jervis is located in the corner of New York State, where Pennsylvania and New Jersey also meet. It's a very short, two-block walk from the station, across the Delaware River to Matamoras, Pennsylvania. The New Jersey State Line is less than 2 miles south of the station. The Port Jervis train station is a simple low-level platform located on the yard leads where trains are stored overnight and between runs.

I wish this station went directly to Grand Central. Unfortunately it does not. This train goes to…read morenorth Jersey and will take you to Penn station. This is a commuter train and is nice to take and less crowded than beacon station. The reason i give this location 4 stars is because it does not go to Grand central direct. The station itself is small. There is a private parking lot which i love because you can get a spot and it has never been crowded when i have taken the train out of here. Overall. This station is convenient to go to North Jersey, Atlantic city or Penn Station. PROS: - small convenient location - NJ commuter train - Great parking lot CONS: - Does not go direct to Grand Central
