I went into Irwin today looking to buy a used Jeep. This would have been our fourth vehicle purchase from Irwin Automotive Group. Found one that I liked very much and sat down with Rudi to make a deal. The price on the Irwinzone website was listed as $18,600, we asked if they would make the deal for $18,000. Was told that Chris Irwin (the owner, who was there sitting behind the counter and didn't even come and say hello to a multiple time returning customer, or shake their hand) could not and would not go any lower then $18,400, there was absolutely no way he could go any lower as they are "The lowest priced around anyways, they aim for volume in sales not high sales prices" We left without purchasing the vehicle as $18,000 was really as high as we wanted to go, no big deal. Went home and went back on the Jeep search started looking on autotrader.com and came across the listing for EXACT SAME JEEP at Irwins (If I could insert the screen shots I would, I have them saved) listed for $18,059, but 15 minutes earlier the lowest possible price that they could go was $18,400? I printed out the listing and brought it back to them to ask what was going on with that and question why it was listed on their website for $18,600 and Autotrader for $18,059 Rudi brought the print out to Colin and to Chris. Colin said that Chris had just updated the price on autotrader and it would be reflected on their website tomorrow as the $18,059. I flat out asked them why 20 minutes earlier they said that the absolute lowest price that they could offer was $18,400 and now I am finding it online listed for $18,059 which is almost the exact price we were trying to negotiate. They had really no answer. They just said that Chris had just updated the price online and it wasn't reflected not heir website yet, somehow it made it to autotrader before their website, so you're telling me that while we were just in there trying to negotiate a deal that he wasn't willing to budge, he was behind the scenes changing the price to the exact price we were trying to negotiate and didn't say anything to the people sitting in the chairs wanting to purchase that car? Or call us in the 15-20 minutes since we had left to say that he thought it over and would sell us the vehicle at the price we asked for? Also he had just said 20MINUTES earlier that there was no way he could sell that car for that price, but as we were in the shop he was changing the price and didn't know he did that? I told them that it is bad business to advertise different prices on different websites and walked out. As I was walking to my car to leave Rudi came out behind me and said "well do you want to buy the car for the $18,000?" I said absolutely not and left. And now just an FYI instead of the $18,059 the price has been updated on Autotrader to $18,600. Not only was it insulting to be a multiple time returning customer and have the owner be in the building not come over and acknowledge that we were in there but buy a fourth vehicle, and also to have him unwilling to negotiate a price for the vehicle that it was actually listed for on another website, there are no words.....Other then if your re going there to purchase a used vehicle do you homework on the price I can almost guarantee at this point that they will have it listed on their website for one price and on other sites for a different price. We will never be back there to purchase another vehicle. What can i say that makes my 2 hr. Drive to Irwin's of Laconia worthwhile... During these trying times for everyone, we all must suffer or endure in one way shape or form, so I suppose I'll just start with the beginning. A friend of mine announced to me that my long awaited 2020 Ford Tremor with the new 7.3 Gas engine was gracing their lot waiting for me to come take a look at it. I reached out to Irwins via email and i had a return email and a call back in less than an hour. It was confirmed that the vehicle of my interest was still there and we scheduled a day and time for me to look at it. Upon my arrival for my viewing appointment i was greeted promptly after entering and asked if i needed any help. Seamus McNally was quick to figure why i was there and i was test driving the 2020 Ford Tremor in less than 3 min! Ive never got into a test drive this fast anywhere, so i took it out, loved it, came back... simple enough. Upon returning i re-entered the dealership and Seamus spotted me and brought me to his desk to discuss if a deal would happen. We ultimately agreed on a reasonable trade in value for my vehicle which was actually higher than NADA value and i was obviously ok with that. I already expected to roll negative equity into this current sale but it was nice to know they weren't trying to lowball my trade in. Now the following shouldn't be considered the normal operations or wait times, or atleast I wouldn't think so. Due to this CoVID 19 pandemic all businesses are struggling. Irwin's was functioning with a small skeleton crew of 50% staff. The coffee pots were off, and no refreshments. All of this is understood on my behalf, it was just a bummer... who doesn't love the free coffee. But I digress my experience with Seamus was nothing short of fantastic. He's not pushy, he's not arrogant, and he's not full of crap. Seamus was in my opinion a down to earth individual with a very unique personality that was enjoyable. This was a good thing because i was there for what felt to me to be an eternity. After we finished going back and forth we agreed on the numbers and i moved into the finance office. From there it was just paperwork and understanding what you were signing. The financial individual that worked with me... unfortunately his name escapes me, was also a pleasure. Although the paperwork came quick he did take the time to fully address any questions that i had asked, he didn't sluff me off and say just sign here. So for both of these gentlemen and the Dealership itself i rate them at 5 stars with two thumbs up. The CoVID19 virus can screw off... it ruined a Simple process. In closing i will say it should be mentioned that Seamus let me borrow a vehicle to go get a quick bite to eat and some Coffee. He didn't have to but he did... good looking out Seamus! read more

Fantastic experience!! Kind, professional and great business attitude. I needed to renew my lease and get a new car. Had a Toyota RAV4 2020 - wanted the exact same one. Told them. No cars available for weeks so I checked Kia in Tilton NH 2 days ago. Wow .. rip off awful dishonest people. So yesterday I checked again Irwin website in Laconia NH. To my surprise, I saw a Toyota RAV4 LE 2023 - same model as mine (I thought) in their inventory. Called them immediately and was there 10 minutes later to transfer my lease. From start to finish everything went so smoothly. Glenn was so nice, serious and professional. Very serious people. Credit same here and they even gave me one more year for free maintenance. Normally 2 years with Toyota - they gave me 3 years and free road assistance. Now the kicker: when I left with my new car I noticed I did not have the blind spots - had them on my previous car. I did not think to ask because that was supposed to be the exact same model only brand new so .. not supposed to go backward, right? I rushed back to the dealer and Glenn and let him know that I would not have bought the car knowing it had no blind spots. When you get used to this fabulous security feature you can't live without it. And that's how you judge a business: first the lady responsible for the accessories told me the cost because now it is an option .. going backward.. $750. I said no way. So she went to talk to the manager and said: come back on Monday - we will install them - no charge. WOW .. that's how you know what high-end quality and honesty Irwin business and its people are. Incredibly professional - everybody was so kind and helpful. And so honest. Glenn was more than nice and friendly. If you live near NH make sure you don't buy your car anywhere else. They are unique in their field. Fantastic people. I mean it. Ask for Glenn. You won't be disappointed. I bought so many cars in my life but seriously Irwin dealership is the absolute best and most honest I ever met. Don't miss the experience. Thank you so much Glenn and Irwin. So grateful. I'm in the market for a jeep grand cherokee, I see that irwin has at least 4 used for sale in price range, style and mileage I'm looking for online,next I inquire on the one I'm most interested in, Louisa tells me " great news that car is available would you like to make an appointment with one of sales specialist to see the car" sounds great so far right, quick response ,car is available, I'm making an appointment, here's where things go south, I make appointment for next day at 3 pm as I'm 2 hours away, all set get my confirmation and I'm off to check out the car, my husband and I arrive on time and are looking for Louisa to see who our sale person is,we meet this guy coming out of dealership who is pleasant enough and asks us what brings us to irwin, we explain Louisa has set us up with an appointment, he then tells me Louisa is the online specialist and isn't there and brings me back to his desk, asks me for the car I'd number, which I go back to my texting coorspondence and find the number,he tells me that car sold today, mmmmm, ok that might have happened so I ask to see the other three , he leaves us for a good 10 minutes and comes back with another guy and one set of keys, we are told there is only one grand cherokee on the lot, so we follow the guy outside, he takes to something that shocked both of us, the car he was showing us was damaged, the rims and tires looked liked tuna cans opened with a full knife, the inside was cloth interior was full of dirt and smelled of stale cigarettes, I drive 2 hours to be shown this? The man kept apologizing to us and was very embarrassed so we just looked at him and said this is not what we drive two hours for and that we were very dissatisfied as you can imagine and drove away to hopefully a better run dealership that knows how to treat customers read more

Recently moved to the area and decided to purchase a new car. We decided not to trade in as I was giving it to a family member. That was definitely more what they preferred but it was not a problem. Our sales woman,Michelle was attentive and knowledgeable without being pushy and overbearing. We went in looking for a Lincoln SUV and we did test drive one however at her suggestion she recommended we try the high end Toyota Highlander before absolutely making a decision. It was a perfect suggestion and we ended up buying it the next day. Since I had not reviewed that auto I explained I wouldn't do anything until I did due diligence. She brought Chris (sales manager) over and he too was attentive and worked the numbers without being very pushy. Don't get me wrong he came to close the deal but did it with finesse, and respect. He basically did what his job description requires, without backing us into a corner. He even took his time to follow up on a previous purchase of a Lexus we bought years ago in Massachusetts . This qualified us for a loyalty discount which we never would have known about. Our final purchase day was a bit long but we have only lived in NH 2 Months so they had to follow up on several points as that always is a red flag for major purchases. Our finance officer Josh was great as well. Very informative and helpful with those last minute details. Overall a painless professional experience which we appreciated. I would recommend Michelle for a number of reasons but the time she spent after the deal was all over made the experience even better. She followed through going over every bit of bells and whistles, making us feel it was not just a sale! read more

What a pleasure it was to do business with the Irwin Automotive Group! I was in need of a vehicle to replace my 2010 Kia Forte. They were able to set me up with a great 2014 Toyota Certified Corolla for only pennies more than I was currently paying. It was really the best price I'd found in 3 states. I appreciated the friendly and patient service I received from Ryan. (I'd explained to him that I left a dealership just the night before dissatisfied because the salesman was trying to pressuring me to commit that day because "I'd never see an offer like that again." [How wrong he was!]-- and he was completely OK with me taking as much time as I needed to come to a decision.) I make it a rule never to make large purchases like this the day of the receiving an offer. But this offer was too good to refuse so I purchased the car and drove it home that day. After a month of shopping for a good deal on a maverick locally I can say first hand that I understand why people hate car salesmen. When I found a good price online at Irwin ford, I called in, locked in the price, and it was the simplest car buying experience I've dealt with. Their price was transparent. Their fees look high, but considering the amount that they'd already marked down the car, it still had a good enough discount that I didn't think it was worth fighting. Nicole worked to help make this a smooth transaction, and i was in and out in less than an hour and a half. These guys were respectful of my time, and I'll be enthusiastically recommending them to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle. My brother who drove me to pick it up even said that when he's ready to buy a new car that he wants to work these guys because of how much better the experience was over the dealerships he's worked with in the past. They were also able to do maine tax and title, which simplified the experience for me as the consumer even more. After leasing a Santa Fe Sport I decided to buy this time. Started working with Adham Darwish a month ago so the transition would be as seamless as possible. I'd planned on calling Adham the day I made my final lease payment and was pleasantly surprised when he called me first! Talk about timing! I told him what I wanted in my next car and he started the process. When I walked into the dealership today he had everything ready to go, the car was there for me to test drive and the paperwork was ready. We just traded a 2016 STI to lease a 2018 Tundra a couple weeks ago and as always, we worked with Erik Faro. Erik is our definition of an exceptional sales person. He is friendly, very knowledgeable of any vehicle we have questions about and understanding. We are known to bounce back and forth on vehicles to make sure we get the vehicle we absolutely want, but Erik is always patient with us and is good with telling us what we'll miss switching from one vehicle and what we're getting with the new one. We've been looking to get a truck for a long time and I feel that we couldn't have gotten a better one. Besides some mishap with our finance contract and some frustration we are facing with our trade that should have been addressed when we traded it in (all of which is none of Erik's fault) we are happy as always to do business with Irwin's. From my first phone call through the final signing of papers on my new Tundra, Mike Officer, at Irwin made it a truly great experience. I was looking for truck suitable for towing a travel trailer and since this is new for me, I had many questions and requests. Mike remained attentive throughout the process without ever being "pushy" like I've experienced at some dealerships. Since this was November, I wanted to have winter tires installed on the truck and I was very specific as to the tires I wanted. Mike tracked them down for me and they were put on for at a very competitive. Recently had unscheduled maintenance preformed on my Lincoln MKZ. Technician (Mike Wood) took time to drive vehicle to see issue I was having and also diagnosed another problem with brakes. Returned a couple days later for appointment and due to the extensive work and parts availability I was given a loaner vehicle hassle free for two days. I received excellent communications from Lloyd Miles who updated me on the progress and completion. Upon returning loaner and receiving my vehicle, Lloyd again explained work done to vehicle by Jeff Peterson and provided with a fantastic maintenance product that completely outlined services. Mike was also there when picking up my vehicle, inquiring if I my issues were taken care of. Excellent first experience with the service dept staff and maintenance provided. I am so frustrated and upset at Chris Irwin for shorting my husband on his last pay check! My husband got a new job and it pissed off Chris Irwin so he made up stuff so that we wouldn't have to pay my husband what he truly owes him. This is the most selfish, arrogant, awful person to work for!! He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and handed a business that is run by a man with NO people skills!!! What he has done to our family financially is so mean. My husband will never work for this terrible person again nor will we ever do business at that dealership. Knowing what he can do to a great employee concerns me on what he will do to a customer he doesn't even know!! Keep your money you selfish man and buy yourself a class on how to treat people.
