My husband and I have been looking for a reliable low maintenance used car, and went to Young's upon the recommendation of our mechanic Scott with Sanborne's. Alan the owner and his wife helped us, and we ended up purchasing a relatively low-mileage one owner Camry - exactly the kind of car we had in mind. My husband and I were eyeing more expensive small SUV's, but for our needs ( we are only in the lakes region during the summer so we don't have to deal with NH winters), the Camry was a better fit AND a lot less expensive. Alan said that he'd be happy to sell us the more expensive 4WD SUV's but steered us to the Camry. BTW Alan told us he's been selling cars for 50's. He's awesome. In all the years of buying used cars, I think this car purchase was the quickest most hassle-free car-buying experience we've ever had. I think we were in and out of Young's in less than an hour, including taking two cars for test drives (going back later today for the completed paperwork). Painless. Youngs is the dream used car dealership. I have purchased multiple cars from them and have experienced exceptional service. They are honest, informed and stand behind their cars after the sale is complete. They are great to work with and will help steer you in the right direction when needed. The cars they sell are pre inspected. As you drive up the first thing you will notice is the quality of the selection. They in fact, take great pride in the automobiles they sell. It's my opinion they get a kick out of obtaining and selling unique or cool motor vehicles. Even when I'm not in the market I check out the lot when I drive by. Can tell in one call that this place is a rip off. Called about a 2005 Subaru Outback that they had on their site for $9995, better than $3000 what KBB/NADA say the car is worth from a dealer and what any other dealer in the area is charging for a comparable vehicle. The guy comes up with the same old lines as other hack used car dealers, we have no fees like all the other dealerships do. Wrong, I have spoken to at least a dozen other dealerships int he area and many of them have no fees. The people that owned it took good care of it. Who cares, the value of the vehicle is the value of the vehicle.....sentimental value is worth nothing to others. The people that owned it just had the head gasket replaced, you won't have to work on this car like all the others around here. Again I call BS, that car could throw a piston tomorrow just like any other 10+ year old used car. That's the risk we take with buying used....it doesn't warrant a $4000 markup. Finally the famous line of every other hack used car dealer....I have been doing this for XXX years! If that were true, apparently you have never bothered to check out your competition and how they are doing a FAR better job than you of selling cars. Stop assuming your customers are idiots that you can lie to and rip off....better yet sell your cars at reasonable prices and stop all the rhetoric and dishonesty. Follow up: We ended up purchasing a 2008 Subaru Outback LL Bean R3 from another local dealership. Newer and nicer car, no BS, No lies....and with a 2 year warranty for a grand less. As to your claims that "all the other outbacks around here will need work", this one was just inspected at the Subaru dealership and was given a clean bill of health! read more

Young's Auto Sales is a no BS used car dealership that is so good at what they do, they don't need to advertise their business. Their solid reputation is based on repeat customers and "word of mouth" experience sharing. Honest, extremely efficient, and a true desire to sell (or not sell) you a vehicle that fits your needs. The big smiles and good advise is free! I made the mistake of cruising a local, well known dealerships 3 lots for 1 1/2 hrs with not one single sales person in sight. I new I should have started at Young's first! Salesman Chris sold me the nicest car I have ever owned and from start to finish it took 2 1/2 hrs. The paperwork is well organized, the vehicle was immaculate, complete with a wash, full tank of gas and a new inspection sticker. Don't let some lame, arrogant car salesman sell you a dream vehicle (or lemon) that you can't afford. Alan stands behind his vehicles. After receiving horrible customer service at another dealership in town, we happened to see almost the same truck(only better) at Young's on a Friday evening. I don't even know why Im reviewing the place because I didn't even go there but once to meet the dealer for about 5 min. Oh yeah, thats why it gets 5 stars because I wasn't stuck in a dealership for 5 hours. My husband went down and came to an agreement with them on price which I would say took no more than an hour. He said they were straight forward and easy to deal with and very nice. Since it was after banking hours they needed the next day to deal with the bank. We were driving away in our new vehicle by noon. The best part is that we didn't have to sit down there for the whole day while they dealt with the banks!! Yay! Thank you soo much! That was the BEST car buying experience I have ever had in my life! We are so incredibly happy with our purchase! read more

I have had terrible experiences and decent experiences, but Young's Auto Sales had been an amazing experience. The patience that this family owned business has is exceptional. They work hard. I very highly recommend Young's Auto Sales. Since returning from Europe and the Military in 1997, I've ONLY done auto business with them. The owner, Alan Young, is a first rate auto guy. My parents have bought vehicles from him for literally decades, since Alan was a salesman at Manter's in Laconia. He deals mostly with vehicles that are only about a year or less old, still under warranty, in top shape, and for awesome prices. If he doesn't have it on his lot, he'll find it for you. Just tell him what you want. My current vehicle is the fourth I've bought from Alan. I had a rental Mustang while my last car was in the shop. I liked it so much, I stopped to see Alan with it and asked what he could find for me. He found an even better, Sport Packaged model in a sharp, not normally seen Black and Tan color scheme at a crazy price and got me a great 5% financing deal! When I tell people what I paid for it, they're stunned. My last car he had a top of the line, after market moonroof installed. It was better than what the factory would have installed. Go see him.
