My car boke down in MEXICO as I was coming back to the US! It stopped approximately 100 yards shy of the USA/Mexico border on a late SUNDAY EVENING no less! AAA was no help because I was not in the US and 5 other towing companies where not interested in coming out to help for one reason or another. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about Isabel Towing. My mom was hit across the border which left her vehicle undriveable. BEWARE!! Predatory tow company. I called for a winch out and provided pictures and location as requested. The driver said it would cost no more than $300. During the service, the tow truck driver never stated the price was going to be different then what he quoted me for. After the completion of the winch out, he said that cost $800. I said you told me $300. He stated he talked to another person and they said he should charge $800. He said I will charge $550. I stated that's far above what we spoke about it. He stated "Im not ripping you off just because you have a Tesla. I have an $80,000 car." Totally rip off. The drivers name is Canno. DO NOT recommend this company. read more

Isabel Towing was a godsend when my car was disabled in Valle de Guadalupe, MX on a Sunday. Isabel dispatched a driver within a few hours, he crossed the border to come get us, picked us up, explained the process, and we started our journey back to San Diego. It took a significant amount of time but our driver was patient and kind. Would definitely recommend them to anyone! TIP: if your car is in an accident and you have insurance, make sure you have an adjuster come out before you leave MX! Edit: I used Isabel a second time when my car turned out to be totaled. They arrived as scheduled at a dealership in San Diego ready to pick up the car and take me to Tijuana to turn over my vehicle to the insurance agency. Unfortunately, I did not have the correct paperwork in order. The driver was (again - just like last time) so patient and kind with me. I was unable to get the paperwork and had to reschedule. The customer service was beyond amazing - they helped me through the whole process and we rescheduled for another day. When I was finally able to tow back to MX, the process was seamless. My boyfriend's car isn't able to run due to an engine problem. We needed it towed to Meineke which was literally a few miles from where it was parked. I called the referred tow service by Meineke and they quoted me $65. Not bad but I decided to call around and see if I can get a better deal. I called Isabel towing second (they popped up on Google first) and they quoted me$50. Not bad. Then I called 10 other shops who were $10- $50 more than Isabel towing. Decided to go with Isabel's towing based on the cost and good reviews online. Scheduled the tow yesterday for this morning. They showed up on time and although the car doesnt start and with some difficulty, managed to get the car to thr shop. After calling several other towing companies near me, this one picked up and responded quickly. I gave them basic info and told them where I'd be, within 15 minutes they were there. My car was so close to the sidewalk it looked impossible to get onto the truck but they didn't give up. After a bit of time (I was in no hurry) they got it up and to the shop real quick. Myself, my husband and my 9 month son were on the eastbound i-8 near pine valley on 2/14/15 around 2pm when we saw a tow truck merge back onto the freeway and recklessly turned perpendicular to cross over all lanes to the west side of the 8. We were forced to lock brakes up to avoid collision and had another car behind us that had to swerve to get out of the way. Careless and reckless.
