If I could scored "0" stars, I would. I have had nothing other horrible customer service with Isabelle simply in scheduling an appointment. I've 40+ year experience with estheticians several of them Paris trained as Isabelle mentiones she was. In the end,I was treated with such a condescending style (including her saying I'd need a body massage vs a facial 5 weeks post surgery). I'm 71 years old & no longer. I found her Covid Vaccine policy judicious @ first but came to feel berated as she 'threatened' to not hold my appointment if I failed to provide vaccine documentation including booster date. She told me I had to include booster date despite my timely initial vaccination.(I'm a retired RN & have been careful about Covid vaccination. Kaiser has not been in agreement with her guideline. While I agree she has ultimate authority on her business mandates, she is not a medical professional. read more

When I emailed for an appointment for a facial, I mentioned my sensitive, redness-prone skin and she recommended a consultation first to determine if facials were even a good idea for me. The consult was exactly what I needed- she was welcoming and very informative. No, facials were not good for my skin. A good skin care routine with a better sunscreen was all I needed! (Watch out for those subpar sunscreens, ladies! I had no idea they weren't all equal in protection.) She provided several samples so I could continue my quest to find the right products. Eyebrow waxing review. I went to Isabelle because she had such great reviews on Yelp. I'll keep it simple ... She got wax in my hair, which she CUT out before I even realized what she was doing! She used eyebrow powder on my eyebrows after the wax, to fill-in the holes ... I looked like I had two caterpillars above my eyes when I left! She did 'clean up' around my brows, but her preference was to let my eyebrows grow thick ... hmmmmm, I get my eyebrows waxed so they don't look like caterpillars! And, she was pretty awkward ... not warm and friendly like other Estheticians. She is not all the hype of the other reviews ... read more

Waxing is NOT fun. I am sure you are all aware. However, Isabelle makes it as comfortable as it can be. She is a solid professional with a keen eye and swift hand. She is so great at getting back to you with what she has open and will try to fit you in as best she can on an emergency basis. I have not had one of her facials, but a friend of mine has and says I am seriously missing out. You would be silly to miss this spot, it is a little tough to fine the first time. This review is long overdue. As in, over a year in a half overdue. Yikes! Anyways, after moving to Oakland and my esthetician retiring, I was in need of a new one. I found Isabelle on Yelp, of course. She mainly takes appointments for facials during the week, which is a bummer, but I completely understand. I was able to get an afternoon appointment with her. She was fantastic. She really took the time to care for my skin. She asked me a lot of questions, gave me a lot of information, telling me what each product will do for my skin. Unfortunately, this was the last time I have done any facials, and that's on my part. It's been in the back of my mind to come back to Isabelle so I am hoping to do that in the very near future. read more

Isabelle is fantastic. She is, in the words of my sister, "genius with wax". I get compliments all the time on my eyebrows. Her facials are great. (And I won't dread any part of them now that she's told me I don't need extractions). She doesn't push the expensive products that she carries; instead, she'll tell you if she doesn't think you need that for which you are asking. You can count on the timing that she tells you (both start and stop times). I can't recommend her more highly. Finally, I know people who have to traverse bridge or tunnel in order to get to Isabelle - if that doesn't tell you how worth it her services are, I don't know what will. read more

As soon as I got there I was so pleased with the environment, her professional friendliness and the studio itself. I began thinking right away who could buy a gift certificate for in my life, I was so excited I wanted my loved ones to experience it too! I am 5 mos. pregnant and she took every possible measure to make sure I was comfortable. She is incredibly knowledgeable and I felt right away that I could trust every world she said. I don't even know where to start. Isabelle is AMAZING. I'm super particular about my eyebrows and I'm a bit hesitant to let others work on me but Isabelle is so sweet, so patient and so good at what she does. I let my eyebrows grow out for about 3 months (yes, I was a hairy mess) and came to her for some shaping and a general clean up. She waxes and tweezes and then looks at your eyebrows under a microscope to make sure she got all the hairs-- even the tiny little ones. She trims your eyebrows if necessary and then fills in any gaps with some eyebrow powder. She is gentle and listens to you when you make a request. I will never go to another person ever again. I really do feel that I'm lucky to have found her and in such close proximity to where I live! I really would recommend her to everyone. read more

Isabelle is the best facialist (esthetician) I have ever visited! When I first was referred to her over 5 years ago, she was booked 2-3 months in advance! A true testament to her quality, demand, and loyal clientele. Now I book my next appointment at the end of my current one, so I always have a facial scheduled on the horizon. She does a thorough and gentle job of caring for my skin. Her extractions are pretty intense, but they NEVER leave my skin marred or red. My skin is beautiful the next day. Isabelle is efficient, professional, witty, and kind. She does not push products on you, but has some great brands for sale if you NEED something. She is educated about skincare, and she debunks all of the hype about the latest trends. She is honest, and has integrity, and isn't just out to make a buck. I really value and appreciate that!
