This is an excellent sushi place in Maui. Fish was spectacular, the views are amazing and the service was top notch. Catch of the day and fresh oyster selection was excellent. The servers recommendations were perfect.

Great spot for sushi in Kihei. They service fresh fish and even let you know what fisherman caught your fish. Everything was delicious- sushi and entrees. Sitting at the sushi bar is enjoyable. They also have a bar area. We will definitely be back.

Isana is our local gem! We visit multiple times during our trips to Maui. This time we mostly visited with the bartenders for drinks and some sushi snacks while we watched the World Cup. This is a spot for tourists and locals alike for its fresh fish, sushi and wonderful hospitality!

Fast and prompt services. If you don't have reservations, plenty of room at the bar and sushi bar area. Fish was fresh and delicious. Plenty of options for everyone. Well stocked bar as well

Baklava ice cream cake... I had no idea what to expect, but holy cow. Absolutely incredible. The perfect mix. Just order it.

We found Isana on our last night in Maui and wish we had gone sooner. The space feels like it may have once been a teppan spot, but don't judge it on that. The food is what matters and it's excellent. You can truly taste how fresh the fish is, which makes sense given it's fisherman-owned. We had spicy tuna hand rolls and a mix of nigiri including kanpachi, sake, bigeye tuna, and hamachi. Everything was clean, fresh, and really well executed. Bonus points for having kizami wasabi. The bigeye with kizami wasabi was a standout. Our son ordered the tonkotsu pork ramen and loved it. Service was just as good as the food. Winnie took great care of us and made the whole experience even better. Friendly service, great ocean view, and seriously fresh fish. Definitely worth a visit.

Such a fabulous little gem! Great variety of items on the menu ranging from a noodle dish to delicious sushi. Tons of yummy cocktails. I've always had great service here! Perfect for a date night or just a quick bite!

Good option when looking for a higher end restaurant on this side of town. We went here for my birthday and had a very pleasant experience. We sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed chatting with staff. The fish was definitely very fresh. Nothing here blew me away, but we really enjoyed the fresh bites and friendly staff. My favorite thing was probably the "Lilo & sip" cocktail which reminded me of a mojito but blended!

One of our favorite Sushi Restaurants in Kihei. Fish is fresh daily. They serve sushi and other food items. Everything is delish! Some of our favorites are the miso soup, baked muscles, Andy's King Dragon and Shrimp Tempura Roll. They also have Happy Hour available! Always friendly service and nice ambiance. They have a back area if you have a large group that's semi private. Nice place for special events. Highly recommend if you're in Maui! Call ahead for reservations.

I booked the earliest reservation available but we ended up arriving a lot earlier and they were able to accommodate us! The waitress was super attentive and nice. We got the broke da mouth sushi roll with the fresh catch opaka fish which was delicious. The garlic noodles were yummy and the shrimp were HUGE! The fish and chips were with the opaka catch was fine- nothing special to note. Parking was easy and labeled around the restaurant.

Service was friendly and quick. Prices have increased since we last visited two? years ago (of course), but food was fresh and tasty. My hubby and I enjoyed a single roll, each and a shared a salad. Great experience overall. Shrubbery trimmed so that the ocean view and sunset could be better seen and enjoyed. Nice.

Front of Isana restaurant. Photo was taken from across the street.

More hype than substance. I came in expecting quality sushi and sashimi and left disappointed. The food didn't live up to expectations, and the atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming. Service was standoffish and came with a "big city" attitude rather than any sense of Aloha hospitality. Overall, not worth the visit--there are better local spots where the food is stronger and the service is actually warm and friendly.

    Yes My scallops were sautéed

How is there Calamari? And is there Raw Tako good?

Their fried Calamari is ok, nothing special that stand out to me. It'll satisfy you only if you're really craving for it. Never tried their raw Tako yet.

Are you open for dining service?

    Yes they are 3-10pm

Can I make an online reservation?

No unfortunately that's the only thing wrong about Isana is that you HAVE to call them, don't call them right at 3(opening) wait atleast until 3-30-4 to call for a reservation and make sure you don't call the same day you want to go CALL A DAY…

It's open-air, there was a live singer, and there was a nice cool breeze coming through. It made the whole experience feel so relaxing and romantic. And the service was so good. Everyone was incredibly friendly and genuinely kind. At one point, I forgot my hair tie and asked one of the staff members if they had a rubber band. Another staff member overheard me and asked what I needed for my hair. She told me not to use a rubber band because it would ruin my hair, then ran to her car to get me one of her own hair ties. The ordering process is a little more unique as they want to turn tables quickly for others, so smart, but you won't get a table until you order first. Why the 4-stars? Prices were high and you have to get up and get your own drinks from the bar, incl non-alcoholic...so although a small inconvenience, it's noticeable and could back up the tender and that small bit lost a star for me...but for others, it may not matter. We would return once we got a chance to see other places on the island, but for good food, local flavor and chill spot...yeah, it's worth the stop!

Holy smokes, that Mochicko Chicken [Hawaiian-style fried chicken made by marinating bite-sized chicken pieces in a sweet and savory soy-garlic batter featuring mochiko (sweet rice flour) before deep-frying] is the bomb! Super crispy bits, amazing flavor, served over garlic noodles...man alive, if you are in Maui and don't grab takeout here, you may as well not go to Maui. It is takeout only and my wife didn't want fried food so she ordered something from the Mexican joint across the parking lot. Our group ordered a little bit of everything - all with garlic noodles as the side since it seemed to very popular based on the reviews. The animal style sauce was really tasty, and didn't overpower the chicken, it complimented the plate well! The noodles weren't very garlicky at all, definitely felt it was lacking flavor. Poke was good, but the pieces of fish were in pretty large chunks. Lastly, the pork belly was just okay. As a local, I think this place is a good introduction for tourists to get a taste of local flavors. But definitely hit up some other local spots even Zippy's for comparison.
