This place is pretty good. My only regret is going here few hours before I leave. The food was great. We had four different rolls and we couldn't decide which one is the best. Edamame should have been basic but it's gotta be one of the best edamame I've had. It was buttery and perfectly cooked. Uni was also really good.

I've never eaten at the town location until now and it did not disappoint! To start, I really appreciate a sushi place that does deals on the actual sushi during happy hour. Not everywhere around here does that and it's the reason I came here instead of elsewhere. The rolls are made spectacularly, the food came quickly, and the service was great. Not a single complaint from me beyond the fact they keep it WAY too cold inside, just like the wailea location

Quality food, service, and bar-like ambiance. Oao Sushi is definitely not a place for the norm to enjoy; however, it does come with a financial cost. The rolls my friend and I got were great -- can't go wrong with soft shell crab and a rainbow roll to try tuna, yellowfin, salmon, and more. Like all seafood places in Maui, the fish quality is emaculate. The price here was less justified in my opinion considering you get less fish for a higher price. I would recommend someone go get poke instead of rolls here if there was the chance to. The service was smooth and the owner kept checking up on my friend and I. Pretty grateful for the service. The ambiance was refreshing considering my friend and I got seated at the bar side and could see the fish slicing in action. Purely considering my satisfaction per dollar, I would say I wouldn't go here considering the high price of food. Definitely not a bad place to go, but I would put this place as a backup before other options.

Oao Sushi Go has a limited selection, but each item has its own special identity. Packed full of flavor, well balanced, and the freshest you can get. Oao Sushi is providing a new wave of creating deicious sushi amd bringing it to your table. Service is great and staff members are friendly. Interior is very clean and organized. I recommend there lava roll and deep friend ice ceam. A must try when you visit the island of Maui

The sushi was so good! My favorite was the salmon aburi roll. I think the pricing is pretty fair, but if you go during happy hour it's like 30% off or so, but definitely worth it! Our waiter was so friendly and funny when he was checking on us! Told us to try the tuna Kizami wasabi roll next time. We hope to get him again as our waiter too! We sat outside and it was nice and cool out for lunch and it was spacious enough to talk amongst friends. Definitely recommend!

Vacationing in Hawaii and found this place on Yelp. In the Target Shopping center off to the side. Clean inside and Fast Service. Food came out quick and delicious.

This review is for the food truck location. They have a sit down place with a full bar not far from here. Fresh, delicious, melt in your mouth sashimi. Imaginative rolls. Sit at picnic tables under pop-ups. Stayed in Napili but made the drive. Nearby beaches can have rough waves.

We have been to this restaurant before when we visited Maui and it has absolutely outstanding sushi. The restaurant has a very nice casual upbeat vibe. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and unlike many sushi restaurants where you wait for a long time to get your food, the food came out very quickly. In addition to nigiri and sashimi, which was very fresh, we had several specialty rolls, including the white dragon roll and the firecracker roll, both were exceptionally good. Also, we happened to be fortunate enough to be eating during happy hour so the prices are slightly less than regular menu prices which is always a plus. While prices are not inexpensive, it's totally worth the price. This is a must go to place for sushi in Maui and was worth the hour drive from where we were staying.

Pro: Food is bomb! The quality of sushi is good! Customer service is awesome. The sushi chefs are friendly and take pride in their work. The menu is simple. Food is worth the price. Con: none

We've been coming here for years and I've always enjoyed my experiences here, but last night I had a dish that compelled me to write a review. The oxtail soup which is listed as a favorite is a dish I've been eyeing for a while, but it's usually been too warm for me to crave it. But last night was the night. I'm getting over a cold and it's been raining off and on for weeks. The bowl arrived at the table with a plate underneath - smart move because it takes some work to eat oxtail soup. Armed with my fork and spoon, I went at it. The first taste floored me. It was perfectly seasoned and I could taste the fresh ginger, the broth was a beautiful brown color, there was plenty of napa cabbage and it came with a dish of a scoop of glossy steamed rice and steamed carrots, zucchini and broccoli. Our waitress offered to bring over condiments so I went for the soy sauce - sprinkled on the rice and veggies, I noticed that the veggies might have had a little sesame oil flavor on them so that made me happy. A spoonful of rice dunked into the broth with some of the tender fall of the bone oxtail meat, and a little crunch of the napa cabbage and I was in absolute heaven. I tasted my husband's pork adobo and that was equally as delicious as always. But that soup - that's what really did it for me last night and stays with me today. I walked out of Tante's with a swollen and happy belly and a fresh, tiny piece of ginger stuck between my teeth...a treat for later.

They've been part of the island's food scene for over 12 years now, and I still remember their off-the-beaten-path spot on Hobron Avenue in Kahului. You would have never guessed there was delicious food being served up there, but those who knew, knew. These days, you can find them in Kahului parked at Da Tambayan Corner on Lono Avenue, or sometimes popping up out at Ho'okipa. Now, full disclosure -- I don't eat raw fish, so I can't personally vouch for their poke bowls, but that's what they're known for and I've had a number of friends and family enjoy it. What I can vouch for, though, is their fried poke -- perfectly seasoned ahi cubes, floured and fried, served over rice and lettuce, and drizzled with a creamy mayo aioli. Get it hurricane style for extra sauce and furikake seasoning -- it's delicious and gives it an extra boost as once in a while it's on the drier side. Another favorite is the poke bake, which is just as satisfying and generously portioned. Started getting this recently and it hits the spot. Highly recommend either dish, especially if you're like me and prefer your fish cooked. And whatever you do, don't skip the furikake fries -- curly fries topped with aioli and furikake. SO good. Beyond the great food, my team has worked with Like Poke for company events, and they're always a hit. Friendly service and consistent quality eats that keep people coming back -- they're a favorite among locals for a reason.
