This is one of those places I'm a little reluctant to let others know about because it is so good and waits for a table can be quite long. But, oh my god this is the most amazing sushi! We totally lucked out and got seated right away because a bunch of people had bailed on the wait list - their loss! Many tasty sushi and sashimi options. The chef's knife skills are impressive and the fish couldn't be any fresher. We've never had a bad experience here and this visit continued that trend. It is more than worth the wait for a table. All the staff are super friendly too. Simple decor and nothing fancy with presentation. But that's because the food doesn't need anything beyond its impeccable taste to shine.

The vibe is immaculate here! People are so warm and welcoming here Came here because of Guy Fieri and it lives up to its standards! Get the TNT roll and Rockin Roll! Definitely on the top of my list when coming to Maui I have to admire top employee was the gentleman in the back who was welcoming and washing the dishes! He was so friendly, definitely the friendliest behind the sushi counter. I thought the chefs would at least say aloha and welcome but didn't get that vibe from them. It is very busy, but still it's nice to be acknowledged when sitting in front of them! But definitely the gentleman in the back, in this small space, he kitchen and washing all the things, he was definitely doing the best he could with the space he had Will definitely be coming back when coming back to Maui

Simple and delicious really simple ms up Miso Phat. The menu is an easy read, especially if you sit at the sushi bar you can take a peak at the fresh rolls as they are being made. We took suggestions from our server, the TNA roll and spicy salmon were incredible. The fish was so fresh it melted in your mouth. We also opted for a side of poke which was dressed perfectly. I was very impressed with the young girl making all the rolls, her knife skills were on point. Oh and the fish was so fresh, they kept it on ice in a cooler at the hostess stand. They are BYOB so stop at the liquor store next door and grab a six pak or a bottle of wine.

Came to Miso Phat Sushi twice during our stay in Maui - that's how good it was. Service was quick both times, with food hitting the table within 10-15 minutes. We ordered the TNT Roll, which had large, fresh chunks of ahi paired with crispy shrimp tempura. The texture contrast was perfect, buttery and fresh with that satisfying crunch. The TNA Roll was another standout. The salmon melted in your mouth and the scallops were super fresh. Such an amazing cooked roll option if you want something indulgent but not fully raw. The Miso Butterfish was everyone's absolute favorite. Rich, buttery, and so tender it practically dissolved with each bite. High-quality sushi, quick service, and so consistent that we came back multiple times. Definitely adding this to one of our go-to spots in Maui.

Every visit to Maui, we eat here at Miso Phat. We are never disappointed with spectacular sushi. If it was up to me, we would eat here every meal. Love this place.

TNT roll. Shrimp tempura, crab mix center, topped with ahi poke, unagi sauce, agave and sesame seeds.

Smaller sized place in Ka'anapali. Parking is limited. BYOB. There is a liquor store in the same strip mall. The sashimi is outstanding. Warm, hospitable service. Expect to wait for a table if you don't come at opening. Worth the wait. Mahalo Miso Phat. Chef's kiss.

Stopped by for lunch on a Thursday at about 1:00 pm. It is BYOB so we went to the liquor store next to it and got some sake! Wait time was about 20 minutes because this place is TINY. I counted 30 seats total. Good menu with all the typical rolls. They also had a roll on special that was specifically made with local fresh fish caught that day. It was excellent. I'd avoid this place during peak hours of lunch and dinner because of the wait times.

We had a great experience at the Miso Phat Sushi on December 3rd around 8:15 PM. The staff was super friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in, which made the whole experience even better. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and has a great vibe for dining in. We tried a few of their Chef Specials, along with the Hamachi Nigiri, the Hamachi Kama, and the TNT Roll. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The Hamachi Kama was cooked perfectly--crispy on the outside and tender inside--while the Hamachi Nigiri had that melt-in-your-mouth quality you hope for. The TNT Roll had generous portions and amazing flavor, and the Miso Soup was the perfect warm start to the meal. For Maui, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. No wonder this spot is famous the food, service, and atmosphere all come together beautifully. We left full, happy, and definitely planning to return.

In Hawaii, Miso Phat Lahaina is my go-to sushi spot. It's another one of my favorite sushi restaurants in the country (I only have two favs). I really suggest getting a reservation for this place, it's not that big and it's always busy at any time of day. The staff from the sushi chefs to management are so friendly and wonderful. The selections available are plenty and the plates are just wow! I really love their Chirashi Bowls (sorry no photo) but anything you chose here is always an A+. Can I just remind you that their service is fantastic? The setting is very lively here. The staff but on a show by just doing their job. It's fun to watch the chefs make your food when you're sitting at the sushi bar. We also came out with some Miso Phat shirts and they gave us bumper stickers. I love that I can wear the logo of one of my favorite sushi restaurants all around Chicago! If you're in Lahaina, Miso Phat is a MUST!

First off, everything was incredibly fresh and the service was extremely kind. The reason why I'm giving it a 3 is because the size of the roll pieces were huge and difficult to eat so they were falling apart. This is a hole in the wall type of place with a solid menu.

Empty tables. The waitress said she would reassess if we could be seated after she handled other customers

We've been coming here since it opened, and the sushi is still spectacular...easily the best I've had. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment due to the service. We arrived around 2:00 p.m. and saw multiple tables set and ready, yet were told we couldn't be seated and had to order takeout. When I asked about one table, I was told it was reserved for seven people, even though all the tables appeared the same size. We were also repeatedly pushed to order expensive specialty rolls after declining, which felt uncomfortable. The waitress's attitude noticeably changed when I took out my phone to photograph the open tables. The explanation then shifted to a "main surge," which felt like an excuse. It's frustrating because the food remains outstanding!!! We've supported this restaurant since it opened and will still recommend the sushi, but the service this time fell far below expectations:(

Sushi Combo A (asked for no tuna nigiri) with spicy tuna roll
    Lucy M.

On vacation, fan of fish and sushi, so went for the Sushi Combo A $60 in hopes of indulging in a nice variety. The combo came with a choice of ca or spicy tuna roll and going with spicy tuna was a delicious decision. For the 12 piece nigiri, I asked for no tuna nigiri and no cooked shrimp. However, the cooked shrimp still showed up. Did not ask to swap because 1. they already put food on the table and per health regulation ur not supposed to take it back, i.e. don't wanna make it difficult for service and 2. it seems like they put repeat cuts of fish as replacements anyways. Moving on to the actual food, the fish was incredibly fresh and I did enjoy the thick cuts, even if it's not cut with typical sushi finesse, the taste weights more for me. Especially the mahi mahi (next to the shrimp in pic) was super soft and melts in your mouth, and it's also a rarer find in sushi broadly speaking. However, the cooked shrimp, as expected, was not worth. Also, at this price point, the cuts of fish could be introduced when serving. I can guestimate the hamachi and kanpachi but there seems to be different cuts of the same fish that I wish it was pointed out. Another issue for me is that there way too much rice on the nigiri. Don't get me wrong, I love bigger portions, but there's no need for that much rich for that much fish. Taking a straight bite at the nigiri just ends up with tasting just rice and I ended up wasting rice since I ended re-rationing the rice. Rice ratio for rolls are just fine. I think if I eat here again, I'd go for the rolls, mahi mahi, and sashimi instead.

I had the miso soup and sushi roll with salmon and cream cheese. I don't even eat seafood and I liked it lol.
    Evelin T.

I don't even eat seafood but I figured I had to try it in Hawaii. It was delicious! It had salmon and cream cheese with some delicious sauce on top.

We stopped by on a Monday night around 7:30 pm after doing the road to Hana. They had some Whitney Houston and Shakira bumpin, some cute garden lights, and three outdoor picnic tables for diners. We ordered and had to fill up on gas, so we picked up some drinks from the nearby gas station and got back to wait for the food. The server said it would take about 15 minutes, and I think that was pretty accurate. We ended up ordering the following: Salmon Nigiri - 3/5 this was a little bit more salty than I normally expect of my nigiri. Spicy California Roll - 5/5 tasted like a fresh California roll with some spicy mayo on it. It wasn't very spicy though? Mild enough for the non-spice lovers. Tempura Roll - 5/5 this was probably my favorite roll. It was simple yet delicious. You can't ever go wrong with unagi sauce. Smash Roll - 4/5 the smash roll was really good. It had a good, well-rounded taste with the tuna and salmon. This was my husband's favorite roll. If you're feeling like you need some good Asian-American sushi, check out Smash Maui! Despite the initial disappointment, we were eager to try the diverse Asian fusion menu. One dish that caught our attention was "Hapa Ramen," which I ordered due to my hapa heritage.
