Sheesh!!! If you are thinking of Filipino Food... this IS the place to enjoy it at! Isla Pilipinas Cafe is the epitome of what a Filipino restaurant should be. Centered on the focus of incredible flavors & passionate presentation, Isla Pilipinas delivers on all fronts. The service is super personable, and the ambience is friendly and has a community vibe. Edgar & Jeanette are amazing and do EVERYTHING right!

Wow! Such amazing Filipino cuisine. When reading the menu, I was at a total loss since I've never had this type of cuisine before. I don't remember what I got, but whatever the owner recommended was really good. Whatever had been left on my plate went home with me. The appetizer of dumplings and Lumpiang was also very tasty as well. Parking was a little confusing and we ended up parking a little further down the lot from the restaurant, but once we found a spot and walked down the lot, we were able to find our way. It might not seem like this lot has a ton of things going on, but this is where you're going to find your true gems! We definitely plan on returning!

Love the food and service here. I hope the restaurant will reopen soon, it's such a great spot and the Sisig is to die for!

The food here is authentic and super delicious! We got the pork bbq, chicken inasal, and pancit. For dessert, we got the halo-halo and pastillas. Everything was shareable and delicious. The staff were friendly and very attentive to our needs. They made us feel at home. This place is cute and clean with Filipino related decors. My family and I loved it here and eating here was the one of the highlights of our fort lauderdale trip.

They might be small on the inside, but the food is packed with flavor. Service couldn't be better. Since we were in unfamiliar territory, our host made some suggestions. The interior reminds of someone's living/dining room. Lovely presentation. This is a short review because I want others to experience the mystique that we did. The way I describe this outing is that many restaurants are skeletons. There is nothing underneath the bones. But this place... you get the whole body; layers and layers of tastebud flavor that will have you guessing how did they make the dish.

This sweet family owned and operated restaurant is a Ft. Lauderdale gem! We were craving Filipino food while visiting the east side of FL. There was a great variety on their menu that it was so difficult to choose what we wanted. Everything we ordered was authentic, delicious and beautifully presented. The Lechon Kawaii was soooo good & the skin was perfectly crisp! It definitely felt like we were eating in the comforts of home (a good thing!) with their family style tables & cozy atmosphere. Service was excellent from start to finish. Can't wait to return and support our kabababayan while visiting southeast FL again. Thank you, Edgar & family!

TLDR: Best Filipino spot in Fort Lauderdale. Bring cash to help a small business out! Would I go again: 100%. It was great Food: Tapsilog and Milkfish are fantastic. Go early enough and get a fresh cup of ground and brewed coffee. Pairs wonderfully with the meal's flavors. If you aren't feeling coffee, get some fresh juice to accompany your meal. All of it is tasty. Service: The owner is incredibly nice and very accommodating. Her business is booming and the place stays busy. Try to call ahead to make sure you can get a spot. Ambiance: The restaurant makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. It's like the feeling of going to your Auntie's house on a Saturday. Real nice.

Best Filipino food I ever had, hands down. The Sisig was to die for and the crispy pork with garlic white rice and fried egg, were amazing. I ordered the cantaloupe juice and it was so good. The longaniza was spectacular. Will have to go back soon, I give them 5 stars for sure!

The menu at this cafe is really authentic Filipino food. Many items and combos that make the choice easy. Lots of tastes to choose from. I got the Pancit with BBQ pork and it was delicious. I forgot to mention to leave the BBQ pork sauce on the side (next time)...it was really nice though. Jeanette, the owner and her husband chef really make this place feel familial and cozy. They are very friendly. Check it out next time you are in the mood for Filipino food !

Average quality, high prices. Their old location was bomb and this one is a dud…read more In my humble opinion, the pompano store rocked. 80% of their items were fair priced and 20% were great bargains! They always encouraged me to come back, and I did. Quality is OK day-of. Most of it needs to be eaten quickly. For instance their watermelon or mangoes wont be good after a week. That's fine but $5.99/small melon or $1/mango are almost as bad as publix. Not quite but almost. Where's the deals? If its expensive, Where's the high quality? I respect their game and wish them luck but sadly its a closed chapter for me. Its not that im not going to return out of spite, but I wont be returning simply because there's no point to. Theres no deals or anything amazing anymore. Best of luck

More like a 2.5 today. It's sad because I really liked shopping here…read more I don't know what happened to the store. They used to have beautiful fresh fruits and vegetables, a nice freezer section. I even bought a tomato tree here once. I don't come often since it's not close, but every once in a while when I'm going to Costco, I'll just drive down a little bit further and stop in and pick up some things. I was so disappointed today. They've gotten rid of 99% of freezer section and they have the old cases for sale, so that's the end of that. Today they had long tables of garbage thrown on top and I'm not quite sure what it was, but people were digging through like it was some flea market garage sale. The entire store has changed and in my opinion not for the better. I was able to pick up a couple of avocados at 3 for a $1, a bag of potatoes so I can make mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving, some tomatoes, and that's about it. I did notice that they had a table full of hot pickle tomatoes that expired 9/20/2025 so that did it for me. I don't understand why you would put out food no matter what price it is, after the expiration date. The other thing that bothered me was the 4% fee for credit card. I know as a fact, if you have the right credit card processing you pay 1.9%. They also had a tip jar at the check out...for what... so the salaried employee can slide your purchases across a scanner and you can put the items in the bags you bring. No one packs your bags here and they don't even have plastic or paper bags. With all the fees, the prices aren't any less than TJs or Aldi. I know now, I don't ever have to drive down here again.
