The small deli/restaurant is mainly for take out, but they do have a couple tables inside. We chose to order here and eat at one of the tables. We got a chance to chat with the owner. We got a friendly welcome. She was quite sweet. When we asked, she told us that Goldy was her sister who had passed away. The restaurant was named after her. In addition to the menu on the counter, they have a blackboard with various featured items -- including soups of the day -- and specials. They use Board Head meats which you can see in the case. We both ordered their Italian sub, but I made a few changes to mine leaving out the ham and the capicola. The bread was soft and went well with all the meats, cheeses, and veggies. It was an excellent sandwich. We each ate half (the sandwich was stuffed with stuff) and took half home. We were talking about other options that they have when the owner mentioned various desserts -- including banana pudding. She mentioned that it's quite popular and sells out often, but she just happened to have some ready. This is my husband's favorite dessert. He couldn't resist getting a container of it. He took a few tastes there and devoured the rest at home. This place is definitely worth a return visit. And if you're looking for a good sub/hero/sandwich, etc. it makes a perfect lunch stop -- to eat in or to go. I'm so glad we tried them.

As soon as you walk in, it feels homie; you're welcomed by smiles and staff ready to serve. Very casual environment, with tables inside and a couple outside. Loads of meat and all the fixins you want! Definitely worth the $10 do that small. Ordering online was easy, and pickup itself was quick and straightforward. However, when I got home, I realized that both tuna platters were missing the bagel chips--so essentially I paid $17 each for just two scoops of tuna. I called the restaurant and was told they were out of bagel chips. That explanation raised more questions than it answered. If an item is unavailable, why not notify the customer? A quick call, or even mentioning it at pickup, would have gone a long way. I would have happily substituted for a bagel or chosen something else. Instead, I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant. By that point, I was understandably frustrated, and the response at the counter didn't help--the staff seemed indifferent. They did replace the missing items with bagels, which I appreciate, but the overall experience was disappointing. I used to really enjoy Marian's under the previous ownership and was a regular customer. Unfortunately, since the change in ownership, the quality of service seems to have declined. We decided to give it another try, but this experience confirmed that it's just not worth it anymore. Disappointing, because this used to be a go-to spot.

If it's your first time there it can be a little confusing on ordering but we figured it out and we were well taken care of. We were going to start with pretzel bites but we had a little snafu after a long talk about pickles and my pickle phone case so we ended up with the fried pickles. They were amazing and they weren't spears or slices they were bite size barely breaded (yay!) bites with a little bit of heat sauce. So good! They are obviously not made from frozen and are soooooo good! We then had the pretzel bites. It came with a thick cheese sauce that had a kick. My husband and I loved them too! I had a caprese hoagie (pressed) small. And my husband has a small North Fork small hoagie. It looked amazing and was HUGE for a small. We also had handcut fries. I love when restaurants serve fresh cut fries. They just taste different. So good. All in all, we loved it! There is something for everyone to eat and we are so happy we ended up here by default! Next time it will be on purpose.

I got the aforementioned chicken berry salad, but ended up saving it for lunch the next day because the half veggie potato was more than enough for lunch. I also added a lemonade that was delicious. HUGE PHILLY CHEESESTEAKS…read more.. This sandwich shop is in a busy Publix plaza surrounded by several other restaurants and today we finally tried it. The ordering was simplified by a chart on the front counter which depicted a classic Philly Cheesesteak with sizes outlined at 5" 8" 10" and the behemoth 18" which was the best size vs price at $22.49. They cut the sandwich in half, which was plenty of food for me and the wife. We chose the optional green and red wet peppers. Took a nice pic of the Philly creation on the sizzling flat grill. We took a seat and waited about five minutes for this beautiful Philly to arrive at our table, served by the chef which was a nice touch. The Philly was absolutely amazing. The meat was cut thin and retained the perfect amount of juice surrounded by the gooey cheese. The red peppers were spicy so buyer beware. This was a top 3 Philly for me. The bathroom had nice white tiled walls and cement industrial weathered flooring. The picture on the wall displayed people on the beach holding Capriotti's sandwiches and drinks. The only issue was the door to the men's bathroom would not lock and the women's bathroom did not have toilet paper, although both very clean. The strength of the sandwich and the counter girl, Jesse's personality, will push this rating to five stars.
