Everything I ordered was so that I found myself looking for something to criticize. Honestly, there wasn't much. My only real complaint is the limited indoor seating if you're planning to study or work for a while. That said, there are plenty of outdoor seats, and on a beautiful cloudy day without the usual heat and humidity, it's the perfect spot. The fries were probably the weakest item. They seemed fresh and healthy, but they lacked any seasoning or flavor. Everything else more than made up for it. The ambiance and aesthetics were fantastic, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The customer service was outstanding as well. The young gorgeous woman at the counter was incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming, greeting everyone with a genuine smile and everyone else's kindness Overall: 100/100. I'll definitely be coming back.

Ordering online was easy, and pickup itself was quick and straightforward. However, when I got home, I realized that both tuna platters were missing the bagel chips--so essentially I paid $17 each for just two scoops of tuna. I called the restaurant and was told they were out of bagel chips. That explanation raised more questions than it answered. If an item is unavailable, why not notify the customer? A quick call, or even mentioning it at pickup, would have gone a long way. I would have happily substituted for a bagel or chosen something else. Instead, I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant. By that point, I was understandably frustrated, and the response at the counter didn't help--the staff seemed indifferent. They did replace the missing items with bagels, which I appreciate, but the overall experience was disappointing. I used to really enjoy Marian's under the previous ownership and was a regular customer. Unfortunately, since the change in ownership, the quality of service seems to have declined. We decided to give it another try, but this experience confirmed that it's just not worth it anymore. Disappointing, because this used to be a go-to spot.

Nice, classic look, clean, tables and chairs in good condition, and tastefully decorated. I had the Ribeye and Eggs and the quality of the meat rivaled a good steakhouse (pretty unusual for breakfast) and was grilled exactly right. Hashbrowns, toast, coffee, etc. - everything was perfect. My friends had waffles, omlettes, pancakes, et al and were equally impressed with the quality and flavor of the food. What really made our meal the most perfect breakfast ever was our server, the charming Charlotte. Warm, helpful, and with just enough spunk to make the visit a lot of fun. She seemed like she was always there when we needed something but never interrupted or bothered us for no reason. This true GEM has mastered the craft of "Server" and if I owned this restaurant, all new servers (regardless of experience level) would shadow this expert for a couple days in a block of instruction entitled, "This is how we want you to do it." What an awesome restaurant! Food, drinks and customer experience all in the top 1% of all restaurants ever (and I spend about 220 nights away from home every so this is saying something). Great work, Flashback!

Just the coziest little cafe!…read more As usual, Sunday mornings are lazy. So to Yelp we go! Ally's is a cozy, southern inspired cafe with great food at great prices. It's small, not fancy, but the food and service speak for themselves. Their breakfast menu is far from an IHOP or Denny's; it features real food, and in large portions. Loved that we were also able to order off of their lunch menu. The Ruben was delicious! The ambience of this diner is charming and laid-back, and with decor that includes art and photos of inspiring and humorous quotes. The staff are attentive, always checking on you. The servers were super nice and helpful from the moment we came in and also to help us pick what we wanted to order. The menu has a lot of variety and we loved everything we tried! We tried the fresh ricotta and blueberry croissant, breakfast burrito, farmers omelette and white chocolate pancakes, all the food was delicious and homemade. The side of potatoes on the omelette was also soooo good... Portions were big, we took half of the food to go cause we were full! So if you are looking for authentic American breakfast don't miss this place! Ps: they also have specials on a white board so make sure to ask for those ;)
