Seeing my child grow academically and spiritually for the last four years has been very rewarding, to say the least. As a Teacher myself, I can confidently leave my child with a peace of mind. Knowing my child is taken care of and is receiving the personalized education needed to be successful is very valuable to us. Another reason why I recommend this place is because of the student to teacher ratio. This is part of the reason why our children are successful. Lastly, I want to commend the teachers and specially the Principal/Teacher here at Grace. She goes above and beyond for our students and the ministry alone at Grace Christian School; her mission and vision are truly admirable. And her leadership is remarkable. She takes her service to this community to another level. A great example of what a great servant of God looks like, trying to make a difference in this world. She is adamant to offer the best education possible to our children and leads her teachers to high standards. If you are looking for a passionate leader, that strives her best to take care of your children with love, respect, fairness and compassion, in a safe environment, this is the right place.

My daughter has an IEP and the administrative staff and teachers all work with her to meet her needs. I'm a so blessed that God has directed us to this school. I'm looking forward to my son starting this new upcoming semester. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone one desires for their child to be at an affordable faith based school.

Grace Christian School may be a small school but the love from our Lord and Savior shines through us :)

Our 6:1 student to teacher ratio is great for that individualized attention that some schools lack.

Moving from the public to private sector made us a little nervous at first but was the best decision we have ever made. While both the Day School and Middle/High Schools offer a wide variety of academic opportunity, that was not the element that impressed us the most, it was the staff. At all levels, from the Administration to the support staff, Woodcrest staff love their jobs and that love is reflected in the classrooms, campus(es), after school & before school care, and daily interaction with the students. I have personally seen this love displayed at the 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony when the Day School Principal did not require a list of the students' names while welcoming them on stage, she already knew each and every student. Jump to the next school year where each 7th grade teacher was given the opportunity to interact with each and every 7th grade student entering the school. Through carefully calculated class schedules, teaching staff were afforded the opportunity to teach every incoming 7th grader. I cannot imagine the time it takes to develop a system like this but it can only be fueled by love. While making the decision to attend a private Christian school can be intimidating, one thing remains true, at Woodcrest you are not just a student, you are part of the Woodcrest family. Our only regret has been not enrolling our daughters into the Woodcrest Christian School System sooner.

However, they have terrible and archaic teaching modalities. I started to notice as my kids entered the third grade. Middle school was insane with tests and homework. Three or four teachers gave tests on the same day! It took parents to complain to change this. When the admin became a principal and it was their kid there, it changed for sure. Highschool is ran so poorly. One of my kids had to take 2 outside classes because teachers taught so poorly and they were not cheap. Many kids are so smart, they resort to teaching themselves. And then there is the nepotism. Oh the nepotism. Of course the staff children get all the privileges and their friends. All the rules apply to others but not the staff kids or their friends. The counselor, what counselor??!! When one of my kids went there, the counselor came in once a week. She was rude and told my kid "if you can't keep up, then maybe this isn't the place for you." This conversation ended with me paying for my kid to take a history outside of Woodcrest, in which my kid earned an A. Both of my kids graduated from here, but not sure I would choose this route again.

I love this child care center :)…read more My daughter went there for one year, and then we changed her school due to a big move from Riverside. All the teachers and staff were so patient and supportive with my daughter and even us as she started the school process. My daughter felt safe and started to engage in the activities. After a few months, she loved the teachers and even played with some of the kids. She still talks about the good memories from the school and she misses the teachers. Although 2 teachers were unchanged from the beginning until the end of June (best point), the only negative point was the rate at which new teachers were joining the class or moving to other classes. All of them were so kind and nice, but I would have preferred to have a class with 3 consistent teachers for the full year. Again I'd like to thank the Temple Beth Team.

We thought this would be the same when we enrolled my youngest son at 2 years of age. At 3 it was determined he had a receptive and expressive speech delay. This was communicated to management and my sons teachers. We were very open and shared what we were doing to help him (twice a week speech sessions and trying to get him into an early education program through our school district). There was an issue with him leaving the class room during transition of half day kids. He was able to bypass the teachers, parents coming in and out, and made it to the front gate. Luckily a parent stopped him and alerted staff. To sum up a long story, management pretty much blamed my son for not understanding safety by not opening the gates - granted he is 3 years old. They warned us if there was another incident they would have to terminate his enrollment. 1. The class room baby gate was broken/loose and could easily be opened by any child 2. How was he able to make it to the front gate without the teachers noticing 3. Why would they blame a 3 year old for not understanding safety. They told us they would see to securing the classroom gate and/or replacing it. A few months went by and they made no improvements to the gate and another incident happened where he tried to escape from the gates. They pretty much terminated us on the spot. Let me remind you, he does have a receptive speech delay meaning he has difficulty understanding language. After reminding them they did not fix their gate, the very next day they installed a 2nd gate...kinda too late for that. I reported this incident to their licensing department and they were sited with lack of child supervision. I find it very sad and upsetting that Tanya took no blame in this and that her solution to ensuring my sons safety was to terminate his enrollment. However this turned out to be a blessing in disguise because he is now in a child care facility that actually thinks outside the box and the teachers are amazing, compassionate and really care for your child. Temple is good if you have a normal easy going child. However, if your child is a little more active, or has a learning disability this is not the best place.
